Health regeneration

determines the amount of health a unit regains each second. It is shown as a small number with a + sign at the right side of the unit’s health bar.

Heroes also gain bonus health regeneration based on their strength . Each point of strength increases the hero’s health regeneration by 0.1.

Health regeneration heals the unit in 0.1 second intervals. This rate cannot be changed by anything. Health regeneration has no cap, although the HUD does not show regeneration over 1000 health per second.

Health regeneration is affected by heal manipulation. When increased or reduced, the HUD shows the increased/reduced values.

Modifying health regeneration [ edit ]

Just like for mana, there are many abilities and items which can change how fast a unit regenerates health. Most of them increase health regeneration rate by adding a flat bonus, but some also increase it based on certain things, like health or attributes. They can be passive bonuses which grant a permanent bonus or be conditionally activated, or be short, but grant a strong bonus.

Peruvian Dota in limbo, Infamous loses two players to Not Today

Infamous just went down to two players overnight, losing not only the rights to continue in DAC qualifiers but also the chance for an invite for the Kiev Major regionals, as did Not Today who seem to have recruited two of the ex-Infamous players.

Dota 2 Asia Championships 2017 tournament admin Andrey Grygoriev broke the news about Infamous last night on Twitter, announcing the team had been disqualified due to roster changes. Two of the Infamous players left the organization without notice, joining Not Today. According to Andrey Grygoriev and Infamous CEO, Joe Ccasani Plasencia, Steven ‘StingeR’ Vargas and Alonso ‘Kotarō’ Lion will join Not Today while Thomas ‘Valquiria’ Jaulis Romero’s future is uncertain.

Considering Infamous’ more-than decent run at the recent WESG tournament in China and also taking into consideration the Kiev Major qualifiers that are just around the corner, the news came as a shock. The Sunday evening shuffle will affect both Infamous and Not Today, who basically blew out their chances for an invite to the regional qualifiers at the upcoming Major, a rather awkward situation, given the fact that they are the strongest Peruvian representatives in Dota right now.

Intrigued by their decision, we reached out to both parties to understand what happened with the Infamous players on Sunday night.

they feel that only with the Not Today roster they will be able to qualify for the Major

First to answer our call was Infamous Gaming CEO Joe Ccasani Plasencia, who told GosuGamers that StingeR told him on Sunday night, before their game against SG e-sports, that he “would go along with Kotaro to play for No Today and that they would only play the Kiev Major with them“. The two players justified their decision to the Infamous CEO by saying that “they feel that only with the Not Today roster they will be able to qualify for said Major, even if it has to be from open brackets“.

Looking at the Not Today roster at this moment, Kotaro and StingeR’s decision is to some extent understandable as they will reunite with their old teammate Alexis ‘Greedy’ Ventura, but at the same time it’s rather intriguing as Infamous decided as a team to kick their offlaner, Renato ‘Kingteka’ Garcia, (who plays now for Not Today ) based on a lack of synergy between him and the rest of the team. So, with Not Today not confirming any changes to their roster up until now, we reached out to their CEO and team manager Luis “Megaciber” Ramos and asked him first of all to confirm all the shuffle rumors, which he partially did. However, both StingeR and Kotaro are not yet considered Not Today members as the organization is not ready to officially announce something before contracts are signed. According to the Not Today manager we should expect an official announcement coming out this weekend.

we never imagined something like this would happen

Now, player contracts is a much discussed topic in the Dota 2 community and is a main reason for a lot of the shuffles we witness on so many other occasions, regardless of the region. The Infamous CEO , Joe Ccasani Plasencia told us that “all the five players were paid their salaries all the time. He also added, “we all live in the same house for a long time now, and they gave me no signs of unhappiness, we never imagined something like this would happen. We are in the process of renewing their contracts, and while the papers do take a while to be done, we had a verbal agreement to stay together until after the Major.”

It seems that the renewal window is exactly what made Kotaro and StingeR reconsider their position with Infamous. We asked Not Today’s manager to clarify who approached who and when did it happen. “Kotaro and Stinger quit the Infamous team by their own will, besides they said they didn’t have a contract with the organization” he said.

we are worried about their emotinal state because they feel like they have the responsibility for the Latin-American slot

Regarding their position with Not Today, Luis “Megaciber” Ramos mentioned that “the process of joining Not Today is currently happening, at the moment we are worried about their emotional state because they feel like they have the responsibility for the Latin-American slot. Meaning, right now there are only three big teams registered for the Kiev Major: Infamous, Not Today and SG Esports. Then we have a lot of other smaller and unstable teams in the South American region, what happens with them if both Infamous and Not Today will have to go via open qualifiers, we do think on these aspects as well, and that’s why SingeR and Kotaro are aware of their huge reasonability taken when they decided to leave Infamous.”

Regardless of how long this process of acclimatizing them to Not Today and getting them ready to compete will take, one thing is certain, the damage is done and most likely we will see both teams fighting for a Kiev Major spot from the South American open qualifiers. So, with that in mind, we asked both teams how confident they are competing in the open qualifiers.

Luis ‘Megaciber’ Ramos, Manager and CEO of Not Today:

Joe Ccasani Plasencia, Manager and CEO of Infamous:

We will play the open qualifiers and we will do our best to teach them that consistency and dedication can beat talent.

With that being said, we wish the best of luck to both teams in their efforts to rebuild and prepare for the Kiev Major qualifiers and we are extremely grateful to Esteban’AKAWonder’ Serrano, the SK Gaming Hearthstone player who was kind enough to help us with the translation.

Top 10 Dota 2 Items to Crave for

With Dota 2 already flooded with hats, players always wonder what are the best items that they should have in dota 2 before they die. So to make your death wish more easy, we have gathered up the top 10 best Dota 2 items that you should have once in your lifetime.

Dragon Claw Hook
Even if you don’t play well with Pudge, this is something that you have been craving for all your life. Ever since the start when Pudge’s DC Hook came into being, it was one of those items that everyone wanted to have.

Demon Eater
Probably the best arcana in Dota 2, Shadow Fiend’s Demon Eater is the game’s coolest arcana that you can desire of.

Battlefury
You might be questioning why timebreaker was not included instead of battlefury. However, even though the worth of timebreaker is higher, bearing a battlefury on Faceless void just makes you believe you can own the crap out of the enemy team.

Platinum Baby Roshan
Probably the most expensive item in Dota 2, the platinum baby Roshan is very rare. You would be lucky enough just to see it games since the people who own the Platinum Baby Roshan are too busy admiring its beauty.

Golden Bracers
The most recent immortal and the first for Enigma has set up high hopes for Dota 2 players to get their hands on the Golden Bracers. Probably one of the reasons why Dota 2 players are spending like crazy on compendium points just to get their hands on these sparkling bracers.

Kantusa
Based on how common juggernaut has became a pick in competitive and pub matches, having Juggernauts best blade is a must. There is nothing every enormous or extremely sparkling about the sword however, just the simplicity of it makes the the most beautiful sword in Dota 2

Golden Gravelmaw
if you play as a support then probably you own the gravelmaw of Earthshaker. However, this beauty is not even close to any other when it comes to showoff.

Feeder Eater

Sniper’s feeder eater is the best thing you can have for the old man. Just how the name sounds, you know the weapon means business.

Iron Bear Set

Not the most expenisve item for Ursa, however; personally it is far better than the alpine stalker set. Just because something is rare doesn’t mean it has to be cool. On the other hand, Iron Bear set just turns Ursa into a monster on the run for blood.

Kunkka’s Shadow Blade

If you have a shadow blade on Kunkka then others already know that you have insane skills with the hero. furthermore, if you love kunkka, the item is just too beautiful to have.

Even though there are a tons of awesome items in Dota 2, there are just too many choices. The list covers the must have items for you and along with those that can only be desired of. Unless you scam people like crazy or consider yourself as a betlord some of these items would remain a dream for you.

Dota 2 Items: 5 Best Dota 2 Items for Hard Carry

Dota 2 Items that can help a carry to farm fast and take rampage. Here will share 10 best dota 2 items you must buy in game to make your carry invincible.

Dota 2 is world’s best and most played online game that has billions of subscribers and players only. This is also named for one of the best games in the world. Millions of dollars are made by pro players by playing tournaments and more.

In this post you will get top 10 dota 2 items you can buy to make your carry stronger and hard to kill. So here is the list.

Dota 2 Items: 10 Best Dota 2 Items

Before, going to the list, please check out the guide about the Dota 2 and also how you can play it because this post is not for new players(who do not know about the game and must be clear with basics first). So here are the 10 best dota 2 items that you can buy while playing carry in the game:

#DOTA 2 ITEM: MJOLLNIR

This is the best late game item to build by combination of Hyperstone, Maelstrom and Recipe.

This item can applied only a target(friend hero) and places a shield(charged shield) for 15 seconds on the selected target and the target gets 20% changes to release 200 magical damage and shocking bolt at nearby enemy hero and 4 more enemies near to the attacker.

DOTA 2 ITEM: MJOLLNIR

#DOTA 2 ITEM: Divine Rapier

One of the best items for Carry to hit the enemy on one blow or depends on the enemy items. The damage is great for the hero carrying this item.

The item can’t be destroyed or sold. The item provides +330 attack damage to the Hero. Unlike other combined items, you cannot disassemble the Divine Rapier within 10 seconds after assembling the item.

There are 2 states of this Dota 2 Item:

  • Original Rapier: initial state when item is bought
  • Free Rapier: state after being picked up by an enemy once

#DOTA 2 ITEM: Daedalus

Just like Divine Rapier, Daedalus also provides attack damage to the Hero carries this item. But there are many different factors about this item that make it different from Divine Rapier.

In bonus the Hero gets +80 damage and gets 30% chances to deal 235% damage in each attack. Best thing is that it can be used by illusions also.

Does not work against wards, buildings and allied units.

#DOTA 2 ITEM: Butterfly

Best for the Heroes like Anti-Mage, Phantom Assassin, Drow Ranger, Riki, Viper, Weaver, Shadow Fiend and many more.

This item provides same advantages to strength and intelligence heroes including 5.6 Armor, 65 Attack Speed and 1.75% movement speed.

But for Agility heroes, the item gives more like 7 armor, 73.75 attack speed, 2.19% movement speed and 60 attack damage.

So, this item is made for Agility heroes and if you are playing one of Agility heroes, then this item is must to build.

#DOTA 2 ITEM: Battle Fury

Normally this item described as “Destroy a target tree or ward”. But what is the real use of this costly build?

Well this item grants hero increased attack damage against non-hero units by 50% for melee and 25% for ranged. Also it grants the player attack damage of 40% as physical damage.

ESL partners with Dotabuff to launch ESL Academy for aspiring Dota 2 teams

Tier-two Dota support is coming in droves this season.

This article is brought to you by StatBanana, the best Dota 2 strategy tool.

This year, organizations have finally started trying to cultivate the tier-two Dota scene into a somewhat sustainable place where teams can grow and compete in meaningful events. And ESL is the next big name to step into that ring.

The company is launching the ESL Academy in partnership with Dotabuff and its Reach matchmaking service. The ESL Academy is going to be a way for amateur Dota 2 players to play against other high-level competitors and get noticed by organizations and other tournament organizers.

Reach is a new matchmaking platform that will help high-ranking players find matches using a constantly changing algorithm that will eliminate long wait times. The Contender division, which is the high-rank program, will offer scheduled training times and a more detailed behavior score system than the normal Dota client so the moderators can ensure players within the program are playing their hardest.

Reach on Twitter

Here’s some of our @ESL video segment explaining and breaking down some of the offerings and our mission with @playreach. @DOTABUFF and @ESLDota2 are extremely excited to help support and grow the Dota 2 scene through this product! #ESLOneHamburg https://t. co/azOnOS9fBX

Starting in November, players in North America and Europe will be able to compete through the Reach client on an individual basis to improve their rank. The ranking period will last until January 2020, when the top-40 players from both regions will be put into a draft pool.

Four Dota veterans will then draft a total of four five-man teams, two from each region, to work as if they were a roster competing in the regular season. They’ll practice in online tournaments and several boot camps in February before competing at an ESL LAN event in March.

This is a step in the right direction for both tier-two Dota and how matchmaking can be used to pinpoint top talent with more accuracy than just looking at a player’s ranking on the usual leaderboards. Dotabuff is a great resource for breaking down the deeper aspects of a player’s game, so being able to use some of those statistics along with a custom ranking platform could be a game-changer.

Starting something like this is also drawing more attention to the lack of stability for players who are trying to go pro. Committing to playing an esport isn’t easy, even if you’re a talented player. And the tier-two scene doesn’t have enough resources to truly support most teams in the long term.

Reach on Twitter

We are excited to announce a new solo online league in a partnership between @ESL and @DOTABUFF. With over $240,000 in prizes we plan on supporting tier 2 #Dota2. We will be on air with more information after the first series of #ESLOneHamburg https://t. co/kEl9uPSSHI

Reach is also going to offer a monthly prize pool of $20,000 for those players who sit atop the ranks, with 50 percent being reserved strictly for up-and-coming amateurs. This, along with what ESL is trying to set up, may inspire other companies to support things like this Academy system, which could help shape how talent scouting works in NA and EU.

More details about the ESL Academy, including the exact dates for when the ranking period will begin and end, will be revealed in the coming weeks. Anyone who already has a Dotabuff Plus subscription will receive a priority invite to the Reach beta and free access to the platform once it fully rolls out.

Dota 2 deny own creeps and weirdos

Dota 2 deny own creeps and weirdos

Dota 2 deny own creeps and weirdos

Denying

Denying is the act of preventing enemy heroes from getting the last hit on a friendly unit by last hitting the unit oneself. Enemies earn reduced experience if the denied unit is not controlled by a player, and no experience if it is a player controlled unit. Enemies gain no gold from any denied unit. All allied units can be denied once they fall below a certain percentage of health: creeps, and non-hero units at 50%, heroes at 25%, and towers at 10%. However, heroes can only be denied under special circumstances. Illusions and couriers cannot be denied.

To deny a unit, an attack command has to be ordered on the unit. Unless the “Right-Click to Force Attack” option is enabled, right-clicking the unit does not work, since right-clicking allies gives a move order, not an attack order.

A creep is not considered denied if a neutral creep (e. g. Roshan) deals the finishing blow and thus will give full experience to the enemy heroes.

Contents

Denying units [ edit ]

Besides couriers, every non-hero unit can be denied, including creep-heroes. They can be denied once their health falls below 50%. Denying an allied, non-player-controlled unit (lane creeps which are not taken over by players) grants 40% of its experience bounty to enemies within the 1500 experience range, instead of 100%. The denying player also gains 20% of the creep’s gold bounty when denying. Denying a player-controlled unit grants 0% experience to the enemy, and also none to the denying team.

Especially in the laning phase, denying allied lane creeps is important to create a gold and experience advantage. It can lead to having a level advantage over the enemy, opening up a chance to get a kill on them. Gold-wise, it cripples the enemy’s farming, slowing them down significantly, if they depend on farming gold. Creeps should be denied whenever possible, although getting last hits should be prioritised. Denying creeps is also important to shift the creep equilibrium towards closer to the own tower and away from the enemy tower.

Player-controlled units can be denied as well, but unlike lane creeps, most summons expire after a while, so that their bounties can be “denied” in other ways than killing them manually with attacking. For many small summons, this does not make much of a difference, but can still be done when possible. Especially when having multiple units, they can be used to deny each other. Bigger summons, like Warlock’s Golem and Spirit Bear , should always be attempted to deny, since they usually have significant gold and experience bounties. Denying these units is an excellent way to prevent giving the enemy free gold and experience when the unit is unlikely to survive.

Denying towers [ edit ]

Towers may only be denied once they drop to 10% health and below, yielding half its gold bounty to the enemy team and half to the denying team. Denying a tower also prevents an enemy player from receiving the 150-250 bonus gold for the last-hit.

Denying heroes [ edit ]

Heroes can also be denied under specific circumstances. A denied hero prevents the enemy from gaining any experience or gold from the kill, but still loses gold upon death.

A hero under 25% health and under the effects of certain spells can be denied by an allied hero. The spells that allow denying allied heroes are:

During Supernova , Phoenix may be denied in a similar fashion if the sun is below 50% health.

It is possible to deny oneself (commit suicide) in a variety of ways:

It is also possible to deny allied heroes with some abilities:

  • Centaur Warrunner ‘s Retaliate fully works against allied attacks, resulting in a deny when its damage kills an ally.
  • Chen ‘s Holy Persuasion , Enchantress ‘ Enchant , Lifestealer ‘s Control and Helm of the Dominator ‘s Dominate can be used on an enemy ranged unit that has a projectile attack in flight, and results in the denial of an allied hero if the attack deals the finishing blow.
  • Oracle ‘s False Promise , if cast on an ally under the effect of an enemy Winter Wyvern ‘s Winter’s Curse that takes enough damage to die from allied heroes will be denied, rather than having the kill granted to Wyvern.

We know that queue times have increased across the board recently, and the most significant factor contributing to this has been the stricter requirements that Ranked Roles imposes on the formation of matches. Prior to the introduction of Ranked Roles, the matchmaker had a wider pool of people to draw upon because of the few restrictions. In the past, when one or more players desired the same role, this conflict was resolved during the game itself, often with unpleasant results. This conflict is now resolved at queue time, but a price of this is that the matchmaker is often starved for players in the least-queued roles. The matchmaker must wait for players in the desired roles to enter the queue, or form sub-optimal matches with the players currently in queue to satisfy all role requirements. Usually the role most in demand by the matchmaker is Hard Support, but this is not always the case, and historically this has varied based on time of day, skill bracket, region, etc.

To address role imbalance more generally, today’s update introduces Fast Queue for Ranked matchmaking. Players in the Fast Queue are given priority by the matchmaker, and will find matches much more quickly. In order to earn games for Fast Queue, you must elect to play with all roles selected. Playing with all roles selected will also automatically place you in Fast Queue for free.

When playing solo with all roles selected, you will earn four more games for future use in the Fast Queue. When grouped as a party, players can also earn Fast Queue games if the party fulfills all roles between its players. Two-player parties earn 2 games each, three-player parties earn 1 game each. You can earn and store up to 60 Fast Queue games.

For example, if you are in a party of two where one player marks the three Core roles and the other marks the two Support roles, they will enter the Fast Queue for free, and will each be awarded two additional Fast Queue games. Parties of 5 will always enter the Fast Queue for free, but do not earn Fast Queue games. We’ve added new UI to make it easy to see to understand when you or your party is eligible for Fast Queue.

Our data clearly showed that players choosing roles without any additional constraints simply doesn’t result in enough role diversity for the matchmaking population to be healthy, negatively affecting both queue times and match quality. The motivation of the Fast Queue is to solve the “roll for mid” problem in a structured way that prevents in-game conflicts, while also providing enough role diversity to enable reasonable queue times.

Going forward, our immediate focus will be validating that Fast Queue is doing enough to improve health of the matchmaking pool, and tweaking as necessary. We’ll also be rolling out a small incremental update to the behavior and report system in the coming weeks. As always, please continue to give us feedback. We appreciate your patience thus far as we iterate on matchmaking.

Hi there!
So I recently started playing Dota and feel that it’s an extremely deep game to master.
So far I have tried a couple of heroes, mostly played Bot-games to get a better grip on them before I venture into a public game. I find i tessential to at least know the basics of a hero before I join a match where others rely on me doing my job. But I find Brewmaster a bit hard to play so far, and therefore I ask for guidance.

I’ve googled and found a couple of Brewmaster guides, but most of the ones that has been rated are also 1-2 years old, and I have no idea how good these are todays after patches and changes. So what I would like is for you guys out there who knows how to play this hero to point me in the right direction for a good guide. I know that what items to use often changes from game to game, but seeing as I’m still new to the game I need something to stand on. How to spec, what items are must buy, some advice on how to play him in general and so on. I would also like to get tips and tricks for Brewmaster, stuff that I should always keep in mind, small things that can mess it up for the enemies etc. Please do share your wisdom, so that I can be all that I can be as old Panda. Pandaren brewmaster dota 2 bug 🙂

So give me what you have, share all your nastly little secrets and help a newbie out! Thanks!

Link me those Guides 🙂 I can try correct some of em.

First tip: DON’T play Brewmaster if you’re just starting out. His ultimate requires a LOT of fidelity to be effective. You’ll want to practise micromanagement on another hero first.

Yes, I’ve noticed that the ulti is a little tricky. Using Earth for stuns(and an extra clap with Scepter), Storm for Whirlwind and disabling buffs/debuffs. But for each time I use it I feel I’m getting more and more comfortable and Brewmaster feels like he could be really fun and turn a fight around entierly if I can only learn to play him correctly. But it will take some trial and error no doubt. What hero would you suggest otherwise that uses micro? I’ve played Sven, Spirit Breaker and Shadow Shaman before him. Tried Dragon Knight and Jakiro but didn’t really fancy them.

Isn’t Meepo harder than Brewmaster on the micro-part? Seeing as The Milkman Conspiracy recommended to learn micro on another hero, I thought those guys were harder.

I forgot to mention that in my earlier post, but this is the guide I’ve actually followed, what are your thoughts on that one in comparison to others? http://www. dotafire. com/dota-2/guide/some-idiots-guide-to-brewmaster-8393

Just played a game against bots and it went pretty nice. Getting more and more hang on the spirits.

Um, last I checked none of those heroes required micromanagement, which is when you’re trying to control multiple units and their abilities at once.

Warlocks’s a good starter since his ultimate summons a golem (or four), but they don’t have any active abilites other than “point and we’ll punch” so all you have to do is make sure they’re focussing the right targets and move them around when they can’t see anything to punch.

Illusion heroes like Phantom Lancer may also be good since the illusions are more available, they also are only able to autoattack and it doesn’t really matter if the illusion die too much.

Alternatively you can just buy a Helm of the Dominator or a Necronomicon on pretty much any hero it’s viable on, and start either converting jungle creeps or summoning imps to practice controlling.

Basically you want to focus on first controlling minions and illusions that don’t get more complicated than “point and say kill” before moving onto more complicated things.
