Раньше Годень приходил в одиночку, но не в этот раз. Теперь их двое, и эти удивительные двойники сражаются друг с другом, будто бы сама суть времени изломилась. Некоторые считают это событие знаком приближающегося раскола, другие же видят в нём возможность использовать Годня в великой битве.

БИТВА ГОДНЕЙ?

Битва Годней — это обычный матч в режиме «All Pick» с одной особенностью: у каждой команды есть могучий союзник — Годень. Каждые 5 минут Годни будут появляться и атаковать одну из линий. Используйте очки способностей, чтобы управлять Годнем и улучшать его, помогая ему разрушить крепость противников. Очки способностей можно получить несколькими способами на протяжении празднования Новоцвета.

КАК ПОУЧАСТВОВАТЬ
В БИТВЕ ГОДНЕЙ

Битва Годней доступна только во время случайных 10-минутных промежутков несколько раз в день. Чтобы позволить вам собрать друзей и приготовиться, за час до начала битвы появится таймер. После окончания отсчета все игроки, запустившие поиск игры в следующие 10 минут, попадут на Битву Годней. Эти игры не записываются в статистику.

Первая битва Годней произойдет завтра.

КАК УСИЛИТЬ
ГОДНЯ

Очки способностей можно использовать, чтобы улучшить Годня в одном из трех направлений: способности помогать, эффективности в сражении или скорости. Через 10 и 20 минут после начала битвы можно получить усиленные версии этих улучшений, например: Resurrection Aura, Greater Hex, Stampede и другое. В начале каждой битвы Годней ваши очки способностей полностью восстанавливаются.

КАК УПРАВЛЯТЬ
ГОДНЕМ

С помощью очков способностей Годню можно отдавать приказы — например, телепортироваться защищать или атаковать линию, усилить себя двойным уроном или использовать сильное заклинание вроде Thundergod’s Wrath. После получения приказа Годень будет действовать по своему разумению, так что не нужно следить за каждым его действием.

Не забывайте использовать очки способностей — они восстанавливаются после каждой битвы.

Uno de nuestros objetivos para Dota 2 es lograr que la mayor cantidad posible de gente lo juegue y lo disfrute. Para ello, pensábamos que teníamos que fomentar comportamientos que tuviesen efectos positivos en la comunidad, a la vez que disuadíamos comportamientos que pudieran tener el efecto contrario, como por ejemplo hacer que otros jugadores jueguen menos o nada en absoluto, o que provoquen que ni siquiera les apetezca probar el juego. Una de las cosas que también sospechábamos es que no podríamos abordar ese problema sin lanzar el juego. Es de ese tipo de casos en los que necesitas una gran cantidad de datos para comprobar si tus cambios están teniendo algún efecto.

Ahora que Dota 2 lleva tiempo en la calle, y después de observar una interesante mezcla de jugadores del Dota 1 original y de jugadores nuevos, hemos podido recoger datos que nos ayuden a encontrar respuestas. Una de las primeras cosas que investigamos fueron los factores que contribuían a que los jugadores abandonaran el juego. Aunque pueda parecer obvio que una experiencia negativa en el juego incrementa las posibilidades de abandono, en el pasado ya descubrimos que tenemos que poner a prueba nuestras conjeturas para asegurarnos de que no intentamos arreglar el problema equivocado. Curiosamente, algunos de los factores que asumimos que afectarían a los abandonos, en realidad no lo hacían. Por ejemplo, el resultado de las partidas no está necesariamente ligado a la probabilidad de abandonar. Perder muchas partidas en Dota 2 no parece ser la causa de que la gente abandone. Pero algo que destacaba de forma muy llamativa en los datos era la cantidad de comunicación negativa entre los jugadores. Dicho de forma breve: es más probable que abandones si alguien utiliza el chat de forma abusiva durante tus partidas.

Así pues, parecía importante invertir recursos en intentar disuadir las comunicaciones negativas. ¿Pero dónde había que trazar la línea? ¿Deberíamos permitir todos los comportamientos (potencialmente) abusivos en el juego, o tendríamos que trabajar para reducirlos y hacer ver a los jugadores la parte positiva y colaborativa de las cosas? No queremos restringir la libertad de expresión de nadie, pero por cada uno de los que se sienten menospreciados por su incapacidad de decir exactamente lo que quieren a sus compañeros u oponentes en el juego, siempre hay alguien al otro lado que recibe ese mensaje y también sufre una experiencia igual de mala o incluso peor.

Tras discutirlo internamente, tomamos la decisión que nos parecía la mejor en interés de la comunidad de Dota para no hacer huír a los jugadores que disfrutan de juego. En consecuencia, esto significó restringir la capacidad de algunos miembros de la comunidad de expresar lo que ellos quisieran. Por decirlo de otra forma, sólo queremos que la gente deje de jugar si sencillamente no disfrutan del juego. Ese pensamiento nos llevó al sistema actual de restricción de las comunicaciones. Su objetivo es reducir la toxicidad verbal y del chat, y por tanto evitar que los jugadores abandonen el juego por culpa de una mala experiencia de comunicación.

Ahora que el sistema lleva más de un mes en funcionamiento, hemos podido comprobar algunos de sus efectos y las conversaciones de la comunidad en torno a este tema, y creemos que deberíamos contestar algunas de las preguntas que vemos y compartir parte de nuestros datos.

En primer lugar, un par de notas sobre la implementación:

  • El hecho de que varias personas se alíen para reportarte en la misma partida no tendrá ningún efecto sobre la posibilidad de que seas baneado. Únicamente nos fijamos en los patrones de comportamiento durante el tiempo.

The Chongqing Major has had its fair share of controversies. The Major was already involved in a controversy when there were reports of the local Chinese government stepping in to ban two players. The Regional qualifiers for the Chongqing Major have come to an end. The South American qualifiers saw Test123 and Pain Gaming.

However, Test123 proved to be gaming the system in order to get a spot at the Chongqing Major. Despite not having a majority of South American players, Test123 decided to qualify via the South American qualifiers. The team is not based in South America and they decided to travel to South America just for the Dota 2 Qualifiers. After winning the qualifiers, the team would move back to North America to continue their daily practice and scrims.

Keeping in mind their direction to the teams regarding the qualifiers, Valve has disqualified Test123 from the SA Qualifiers. Taking their place in the final standings is Thunder Predator. The Thunder Predator team secured the third spot at the South America qualifier losing to Pain Gaming.

The now disqualified Test123 approached Valve around three months ago. They wanted to clarify Valve’s stance on their participation in the South American regional qualifiers. Valve stated that they will not allow Test123 to participate in the South American qualifiers if they are just moving there for the same. This is against their concept of Regional qualifiers which is to enhance and promote the growth of Dota 2 in the region.

Three months ago, we were contacted by Pain X inquiring about playing in the South American qualifiers. They asked if they could participate in them by travelling back and forth to the region to play in the qualifiers, rather than staying in the region. We explained to them that they couldn’t do that. We walked them through our reasoning, and what the purpose of regional qualifiers are, and why we thought that neither we nor fans would consider them an actual South American team.

However, despite Valve’s position on the matter, Test123 decided to go ahead with the SA Qualifiers. They eventually did qualify for the Chongqing Major after securing the top position in the South American qualifiers. But this goes against Valve’s view on the scope of the regional qualifiers. Valve wants the regional qualifiers to help develop the game in local regions. South American teams [ teams based out of South America ] will practice in the region and scrim against other local teams.

If Test123’s qualification was not disqualified, it would be a major blow to the local scene. As such, if any team wants to relocate to South America, they can discuss the same with Valve. The development of Dota 2 in the South American region can only signal a brighter future for the game. In time, we might also see Dota 2 Majors held in the region if there are adequate facilities available.

MeetYourMakers (MYM) is an amateur gaming organization based in Leipzig, Germany. It was founded in March 2001 by Mark Peter “Mercy” Fries, primarily as a Counter-Strike team. [1] However, MeetYourMakers disbanded in 2009 but was re-founded later that year. [2] [3]

The original MYM was known for having very talented DotA players: when the organization dissolved in 2004, MeetYourMakers had a prize team for Defense of the Ancients.

In August 2009, it was announced that MeetYourMakers had created a new team of staff and would be returning to the electronic sports scene with new teams. [4] On October 4, a new DotA team was revealed. [5] [6] [7]

In August 2011, with the conclusion of The International 2011, MYM’s Dota 2 team dissolved and the players went their separate ways. [8]

In September 2011, MYM announced their new roster, which included players from Scythe-Gaming, as well as Malaysian superstar YamateH. [9] However, YamateH left the team without playing a single game. The roster also had other problems, with xy-, Chawy, Roy and iceiceice having national service commitments. This left Hyhy alone playing with stand-ins for multiple tournaments. Due to internal problems in MUFC eSports, four of their players joined MYM to form a brand new roster, but only a few months later, they returned to MUFC following mediocre results in The Premier League.

In October 2012, MYM came back to Dota 2 by picking up European squad The Tough Bananas. [10]

In November 2012, MYM merged with French team Shiba Gaming to create a new roster. The new squad separated from the organization later that month.

In February 2014, MYM returned to Dota 2 by picking up European squad Team Life (with Unicorn, Cr1t-, Ace, Mini, and Exist). [11]

In March 2014, Mini and Exist left the team. They were replaced by Link and Ryze. [12]

In July 2014, Unicorn and Cr1t – left the team, while 13abyKnight joined. [13]

In September 2014, MYM releases their Dota 2 squad. [14]

While MYM describes the players and teams, myMYM. com describes the website which focuses on eSports coverage, tournaments, content and community for certain games such as Counter-Strike, Warcraft 3, FIFA, DotA and League of Legends. Later on myMYM got nominated two times in a row for the eSports Award in 2007 and 2008 which was given away by the ESL. Next to that Warcraft 3 editor Frank ‘Mirhi’ Fields got nominated two times in a row for best eSports Journalist in 2008 and 2009 while Marcus ‘Wind’ Ho was nominated in 2007. Jonas ‘The1Crow’ Gebhardt was nominated in 2009 for eSports Photo of the year and subsequently won the award.

Veteran Filipino Casters Marlon “Lon” Marcelo and Aldrin “Dunoo” Pangan Sent To Seattle For The First-Ever TI6 Philippine Coverage

2016 is quickly becoming a standout year for Philippine eSports as the country’s representatives in the biggest eSports tournament ever, Dota 2’s The International 2016 (TI6),TnC and Execration join the battle for the coveted Aegis of Champions and a huge prize pool of over $19 million. As our hometown heroes wage war in Seattle, two of the country’s veteran shoutcasters will also be flying to TI6 for the first-ever live official Pinoy coverage of TI6.

Marlon “ Lon“ Marcelo and Aldrin “ Dunoo“ Pangan, the country’s most renowned Dota shoutcasting duo, will be bringing their brand of Pinoy shoutcasting hype to the world’s grandest eSports stage. In a statement released by Mineski. net, Lon and Dunoo will be casting TI6’s main stage matches after the group stages and will be broadcast live through the Mineski TV Twitch channel.

Lon also hinted that his biggest tournament broadcast might also be his last as he plans on hanging up the casting mic after TI6. Here’s what the duo had to say about this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity:

Dota 2 Footage on Retina MacBook Pro

This footage was shot from my iPhone (sorry for the poor quality). I own a base model rMBP and was using bootcamp.

The game is running super smoothy and never drops below 40 FPS (45-50 on average), even in team fight.
Obviously, the fans kick in after 5-10 minutes of gameplay, but you barely notice it at all. Above all, Dota 2 looks absolutely superb on the Retina Screen and I can’t wait for Valve to release the client for OS X.

I have a Macbook Retina display as well. Here’s a quick tip to get it to 60fps while at 2880×1800. If you have console, enter “mat_viewportscale 0.5”

This will make the game render the world at 1/4 resolution, then scale it up, but the UI is still rendered at the full 2880×1800. Because the pixel resolution is so high, even rendering the world at this lower resolution looks really good.

Right, as I see that quite many appears to have this problem I guess I’ll go ahead and share how to solve it (which I think is similar to what Kamidesu was trying to say).

The Mac stores certain data used by the Kernel and other low level instances in some memory circuits located on the motherboard called NVRAM. Specifically in this case, it stores data related to current screen resolution.

Now, for some reason which I’m honestly not entirely sure about at the moment, something apparently related to the bootcamp installation may corrupt this data which evidently leads to all around poor graphics performance. The easiest fix for this problem is to simply reset the NVRAM by doing the following:

1. Restart the computer (or turn it on if it’s already off).
2. Immediately when you hear the infamous Mac startup sound hold down the keys: command+option+P+R
3. Keep holding those keys until the computer automatically restarts and you hear the startup bell again.
4. Enjoy your 60 FPS in DOTA2 (and other games for that matter).

Note that this is mainly related to if you use the built in screen of the computer. If you use an external screen this may apparently not actually solve anything.
