Since years, you trying to fix game with small changes after few months you release big update and smash everything again. So back to alpha release. They fixing heroes with 1 damage reduce, 0.3 aglity increase and they release new update directly giving 40 damage, 10 str bonus etc. You’ve removed diffusal blade it’s okay have you ever think about ghost screpter, euls or tinker? You’ve buffed echo slam have you ever think about meepo? Meepo working hard to get items, 6 lv echo makes tons of damage and he gains 5 lv. Legion makes more than 1k damage with Overwhelming on meepo. People were need low chance to nuke tinker example ursa gets diffusal to stop tinker with 8 stack, now tinker gets eul or ghost no chance to stop him. There is tons of things. This patch look like WTF mode. Think like bouquet of flowers and there is one flower which looks bad and you changing whole flowers instead of remove which looks bad.

Shut the f up and play the game as it is now. You MUST thank them for keeping this game free to play and do not complain about some changes to the gameplay etc.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥t. In DOTA history there have been bigger updates, one of which was when icefrog took over DOTA all stars.

Dirge, the whiners dont care as always.

Save your breath for the few “Wot u like about this update :D” threads.

Or Threads that dont involve “WAHHHH WAHH I DUN LIKE UPDAET CAUSE AM SPOILED LITTLE BRAT WAHHH WAHHHH”

Shut the f up and play the game as it is now. You MUST thank them for keeping this game free to play and do not complain about some changes to the gameplay etc.

And I will say to you as all the over mindless fanboys icefrog can do no wrong what do you even like about this update can you think of any like op or are you just disagreeing for the sake of arguing

What arguments? His arguments about balance make no sense. His complaint about items make no sense (Nullifier is the answer to his question BTW, or you know, dominate a purge creep). His argument about ES and LC hard countering Meepo is stupid because there are far better counters to the hero than the new ES and LC (BTW LC’s aghs counters meepo harder than her Odds talent). Same with his tinker argument which is mostly just a rant.

But please, if I missed something, do let me know.

Shut the f up and play the game as it is now. You MUST thank them for keeping this game free to play and do not complain about some changes to the gameplay etc.

You know League of legends is free right? So is Heroes of the storm. so is Smite, so is Paragon, I can keep going really, if the game wasnt free they would lose half their customers. Dumbass

there is one major difference though. Unlike HotS or league or even paragon, dota 2 is true free to play because there is nothing that effects the game that you can buy at all or need to unlock. In HotS and league, you have characters that needs to be unlocked and in paragon you have loadout cards that you need to buy that functions the same as items (the in game ones not cosmetics) in dota 2 that you need to unlock.

There are very little games that offers you little to no grind, but the 3 that I can name off of the topic of my head is paragon, Heroes of Newearth and dota 2. All three of them have one thing in common, and that is that they are all from established game companies. Epic games, valve and S2 who previously made savage, and savage 2. IF anything, it is a safe bet that big companies like epic and valve are less likely to use more scummy tactics to get you to spend money on their free to play games, expection being blizzard and HoTS

Dota 2 w33 interview with the vampire

Team Liquid’s fate at The International 2019 hangs in the balance after a poor group stage saw them plummet into the lower bracket of the playoffs. Recently the team made a roster change which saw Aliwi ‘w33’ Omar join the squad and with the looming start to playoffs, we managed to sit down for a few minutes with the player.

Hi w33, thank you for taking the time to do this interview with us. Diving right in; the group stages of TI9 are now complete but things did not really go the way of you and Liquid – this was obviously not the plan. Can you walk us through what it was that went wrong?

We just had a few mistakes that eventually caused us to fall into the lower bracket. We just hope we can do our best next time and manage to push through. We wouldn’t be here at TI if we didn’t think that we could win or beat any team.

In your opening game on day one against Newbee, you picked up Viper and it did not go too well. Can you explain to me the reasoning behind that hero choice?

New patches keep coming and change things constantly. If you just stick to one or two heroes, you’ll never be successful and you have to try everything. A hero can be extremely good and you try it but once you’re in the game, you make one mistake and it can change everything. Maybe you’re not used to it because you didn’t play it as much or practice it enough. Sometimes things work out differently though in an important game and what you try will work out.

Everyone is obviously talking about the OG core IO, it’s probably one of the most interesting aspects of the group stage. So, what are your thoughts on it and as a follow up, do you like seeing support heroes moving out of their role and into different areas of the game?

A few teams were actually very close to having a mid Chen in the last Major, there were a lot of teams actually practicing this – it was very strong. Heroes nowadays are not set in a single position. As you see lately there’s Invoker and Queen of Pain support, Earth Spirit or Wisp carries. Positions don’t exist anymore, they’re just heroes now and they can be versatile.

Along the same path, do you feel the patches lately constantly move the game forward or is there still something you find missing sometimes?

No, the game is going very well. It’s very different from a few years back when we had one or two heroes that would be picked in every game and demolish entire tournaments. A lot of heroes have big counters already and people don’t know it until they start thinking about it. There always is a counter nowdays. If you think back to TI6, there was no counter to Shadow Demon + Luna + Kunkka and now there’s just so much to counter everything else now.

You’ve recently left behind the South American Dota 2 community and come back to the “greener” pastures of European Dota. Dota 2 w33 interview with the vampire How has this transition been for you.

Obviously it is much different, I don’t need to fly all the way to Brazil every time. I get to spend more time settled in and I have stability. But the difference is that I can actually play some Dota now, when there’s no qualifiers, I can relax.

On that note, are there other games that you enjoy playing?

I used to play one or two other games. Rocket League and Apex Legends too. It all helps to relax and if you’re going to sit on a computer, you might as well enjoy it, it doesn’t matter what you do.

We’re in Shanghai for The International, we’ve all been here a few days now. Have you been enjoying your time here?

It has been great so far, the people, the food have all been amazing.

Do you have a favourite food that you’ve tried or something you keep going back for?

Well, they have Arabic food here and I’m half Arabic, so I can’t get enough.

It has been a pleasure talking to you and thank you very much, once again, for taking the time to do this interview. We wish you the best of luck in the tournament and finally, do you have any shoutouts that you’d like to give?

Just to our fans around the world, thank you for supporting us, we really appreciate it and we’ll try our best to keep going.

5 Tips to Beat the Winter Blues

January 21, 2019

Welcome to January, aka the most boring month of the year in my opinion. It’s the time of the year when the excitement of the holidays is over and now it’s just cold, dreary, and you don’t want to leave your house once you get home for the day. It’s really easy to slip into seasonal depression during the months of January and February, especially if you live somewhere that doesn’t see much sun during this time of the year. As someone who’s always struggled with depression both seasonally and year round, I thought I’d share some tips that keep me sane during these blah months.

Keep Yourself Busy– It’s hard to get out when all you want to do is lay at home and watch Netflix or wallow in your self-doubt and feelings. I am so guilty of cancelling plans or skipping out on events because it’s so cold and I don’t feel like getting out. Nine times out of ten, I am happy and feel better when I come back from an event that I almost didn’t go to or a friend’s house that I was trying to talk myself out of going to. The point is to just stick to your commitments and try to avoid the black hole of your bed at 6pm. The pictures above are from a night out with some friends this past week that I really wanted to back out of because of the temperatures, but I am so glad that I went.

Get Obsessed with Something– literally, get obsessed with anything. For me right now, it’s juicing and trying to eat healthier. Sometimes it’s working out or going to yoga. Dota 2 auto accept gamefly For my husband it’s riding his bike trainer every day. Get really into your day job and start doing extra stuff to keep yourself busy. One of my friend’s is obsessed with tracking down sold out clothing items. Like I said, it can be anything.

Get Outside– even though it’s pretty cold here most of the winter, I try to force myself to go outside a few times a day. Whether it’s walking the dog, talking a short brisk walk, or just walking around your work parking lot a few times, it’s important for your body to be exposed to the outdoors. I actually love getting bundled up and taking a nightly walk when it’s cold because there is no one else out and it’s really peaceful.

Keep Your Body in Check– maybe it’s because I’m bored during this time of the year, but I love getting really into supplements and making sure I am taking everything I need to be taking. Right now I’m taking Elderberry, Vitamin D3, Omega 3, Vitamin C as far as supplements. I am also really into juicing celery juice with apples, carrots, ginger, and spinach.

Plan a Trip– this one ALWAYS works for me. Even if you’re planning a trip that isn’t until the summer or fall, just the excitement of planning the trip can get me out of a funk almost instantly. Plus it gives you something to look forward to and to keep you motivated to work out, plan, shop, etc.

What do you all do to beat the winter blues?

The new heroes started their journey pretty underpowered, not even reaching 45% win rate in their opening days. Players getting acquainted with their skill set and some balance changes have finally made heroes playable in high level pubs and also made it possible to start discussing them, since it is unlikely they will be receiving anything but some minor number tweaks in the nearest future.

The Reach beta has concluded and the team is now working hard towards the Season 1 launch. Here we share some of the details on the upcoming Season, and what players can expect when they log in to play.

The new patch is wild, with all the positive and maybe some negative connotations this word implies. As such, we are trying to be extremely cautious when discussing it so that we don’t unnecessarily invoke some misguided disenchantment from the community.

62 new items are available for finding, not purchasing. You can now build your inventory through jungling and not spending your gold. Is this good? Bad? Who knows, it’s too early to tell.

The Reach Beta has been a valuable month for us at Elo. The feedback from our community has allowed us to make considerable progress in refining the key automated systems of the platform and we couldn’t possibly be more excited to see people begin to play in Season One.

This is going to be less of a stats recap and more of a farewell to a patch, which overstayed its welcome for at least a couple of months. Instead of going over the same heroes once more, we felt it is more appropriate to highlight some of the heroes which were outside of the meta at the tournament’s start, but nevertheless had a great impact in the later stages of MDL Chengdu.

Bounty runes, come back gold, ancient creeps, camps stacking, and more. The economy of Dota keeps growing and growing but how does that affect supports and cores?

We’ve done a lot of testing with our current systems in the Reach league and are finally confident in opening it up to more users. Divine level players may now participate in Reach, effective immediately.

The first major tournament of the season is finally happening. Get up to date with all the teams participating, their odds of winning it all, and more!

Patch 7.22 is certainly overstaying its welcome and it clearly shows in the current professional tournaments. There are almost no new meta developments and for the most part the Summit 11 concentrated on the same exact heroes as the tournaments prior.

Captains and drafters are some of the most revered pros in the scene. The genius drafting strategies and counter picks can win the game before the first bounty runes spawn. Here are some draft ideas to try out for your next battle cup tournament.

Reach had an exciting and informative first week of games, with over 1000 matches played, and over 1200 unique players participating. Here’s the rundown on week 1, and what’s coming down the pipeline.

The idea of a tanky frontline hero in the offlane has been repeated over and over again for the last several months. It makes sense on the professional scene, while working incredibly well in pubs. Building survivability items and allowing yourself to be initiated on has become the go to strategy for a lot of teams and it is unlikely to change until after the new patch is released.

MMR may just be a number but a higher number is superior. Read this article to learn a few tips and tricks on growing your MMR number.

The current meta has been established for a long time but teams still must find their slight edge. At ESL One Hamburg 2019, we saw more of what we’ve been seeing for a few months now.

Dota 2 Battle Pass: The International 2019 compendium qualifier picks

The International 2019 will feature 18 top Dota 2 teams.

12 of them were decided through the Dota Pro Circuit, with elites like Virtus. pro and Team Secret locking up spots early, while Keen Gaming and Alliance squeaked their way more recently. The remaining teams will be decided through qualifiers, with each of the six regions sending a single qualifying representative to Shanghai.

To raise awareness and to give fans an extra layer of intrigue, qualifier predictions have become a staple of The International compendium that is included in each year’s battle pass. Players have the chance to earn a few extra levels for their battle pass by picking out which teams will make the cut from each region.

That’s easier said than done. Dota 2 is always a tough game to predict, and when most of the best teams already have a spot locked up and the rest are constantly shuffling their rosters, it’s hard to parse the hierarchy without paying close attention to the goings on in the scene.

We at WIN. gg have put in the hours to watch film and look over tournament results to pick out the favorites from each region. Here are the picks to help you get the most out of your TI9 battle pass

North America: Forward Gaming finally arrives

North America has had a rough 2019 in Dota 2.

The region actually panned out to be fairly deep at TI8 thanks to strong showings from OpTic Gaming and VGJ. Storm and looked promising heading into this season with an interesting CompLexity Gaming lineup and new squads like Marchoutofarmy popping up. Unfortunately, it didn’t take long before everything went off the rails with teams constantly changing rosters and rarely getting better as a result.

Evil Geniuses has earned their spot at TI9 already, but past that, the qualifiers are basically up for grabs.

Forward Gaming is the best bet. The lineup has struggled throughout the year and has failed to live up to the high expectations pinned on them early on, but has gotten the better of other contenders J. Storm and Complexity Gaming more often than not.

Other options: J. Storm, CompLexity Gaming

Europe: Chaos Esports Club grows new roots

Europe has been the most successful Dota 2 region throughout the year, and after the Epicenter Major it is set to send five different teams to The International. The trouble is that with Team Secret, Team Liquid, Ninjas in Pyjamas, OG, and Alliance all earning direct invitations, all of the sure things are out of the qualifier running.

The Final Tribe has been a steady presence on the European scene throughout the season and has been competitive with the likes of NiP and Alliance in months past, but isn’t operating at a level where they should be looked at as the favorites to win. Because of that, we’re looking to the reformed Chaos Esports Club as the team to beat in Europe.

Chaos was a South American staple for much of the year, but went across the Atlantic to Europe after washing out of the MDL Disneyland Paris Major. In the weeks since, they’ve pulled together an interesting new roster that includes former Team Liquid star Lasse Aukusti “MATUMBAMAN” Urpalainen and former Team Secret offlaner Maurice “KheZu” Gutmann.

They haven’t yet had much opportunity to gel, but the talent and experience on the lineup has us favoring them over other teams.

Other options: The Final Tribe, Aachen City Esports

China: Royal Never Give Up perseveres

China is an incredibly difficult region to pick because it has a lot of teams that have shown flashes of greatness during the season but have struggled to stay on top for long. As such, China has a long list of contenders that have the tools to win a spot at TI9.

Precedent suggests that the two favorites are Royal Never Give Up and EHOME. The two teams have looked solid for most of the year and managed to qualify for the final two events of the season. Royal Never Give Up gets the nod based on a decent showing at the Epicenter Major, but they still have a big fight ahead of them.

Other Options: EHOME, Royal

South America: Team Anvorgesa and Infamous become kings of SA Dota 2

South America is a complete mess right now. Chaos Esports Club was the one constant in the region and since they left, no other team has even been able to stay together long enough to make a serious run.

The only South American team out there that has beaten pro competition from outside the region is Team Anvorgesa. Dota 2 shanghai major compendium of the catechism The Peruvians managed to clear the group stage at the StarLadder Minor in June and eliminated Winstrike and EHOME in the process.

Their body of work is small because the team didn’t actually come together until the StarLadder Minor qualifiers, but they’re pretty much the only proven option here. Hopefully they will get an extra boost from being newly sponsored by South American organization Infamous.

Other Options: PaiN Gaming

CIS: Gambit Esports finally gets respect

The only region with a clear-cut favorite to win is CIS. That favorite is Gambit Esports.

Gambit has been a solid competitor throughout the year, and while they haven’t been able to consistently qualify for majors, they’ve proven themselves as a top team on a number of occasions with strong showings at tournaments like ESL One Katowice and WePlay! Dota 2 Valentine Madness.

They’ll still have quite a bit of competition on their hands with teams like Natus Vincere and Team Spirit, but Gambit is the safest pick in the qualifiers.

Other Options: Natus Vincere, Team Spirit

Southeast Asia: Mineski gets back on track

Fnatic and TNC Predator are both solid teams, but past that Southeast Asia has struggled with roster turnover throughout the year. That hasn’t slowed down with the TI9 qualifiers fast approaching and now it’s a matter of parsing past results with the pure talent on a team’s roster. The best blend in the region is Mineski.

While this has been a generally rough season for the team, they’ve still found a handful of successes and have hung around as the third best team in the region. The big X-factor is their recent release of Lai “Ahjit” Jay Son in favor of Bulgarian player Nikolay “Nikobaby” Nikolov. The team won’t have much opportunity to practice with him and it’s hard to feel especially confident in the side because of that. Still, they have enough of a resume to go with here over other talented teams like BOOM ID and Geek Fam.

Dota 2 Item and Build Gu >Updated on January 20, 2017

“The mist that chills you keeps me warm.”

If you are new to Dota 2, be sure to check out my guide for beginners here..

Traxex, the Drow Ranger

“Drow Ranger’s given name is Traxex—a name well suited to the short, trollish, rather repulsive Drow people. But Traxex herself is not a Drow. Her parents . “

  • Role: Carry
  • Farm priority: 1 or 2

Drow Ranger is a ranged agility hero who can keep a truckload of damage through her passive abilities. Traxex is a typical carry that can become extremely powerful at every point in the game, with great early game presence. Despite her lack of escape spells, Drow Ranger can keep herself relatively safe from enemy spellcasters and melee heroes using her Silence and her Frost Arrows.

Skills

  • Frost arrows:
    • The slow will not be increased by successive casts, only refreshed.
    • The slow is a unique attack modifier and conflicts with lifesteal, both when used automatically and when used manually.
  • Silence:
    • Doesn’t stop usage of items.
    • Knockback distance is inversely proportional to travel range, 350 at closest, 0 at 900.
    • Does not interrupt channeling of items.
    • As with all silence, will NOT stop Skeleton King’s Reincarnation.
    • Disables Permanent Invisibility.
  • Precision aura:
    • Only has an effect on ranged units.
  • Marksmanship:
    • Effectively gives Drow Ranger 40/60/80 attack speed, 40/60/80 attack damage and 5.6/8.4/11.2 armor, as well as an additional 10.4/15.6/20.8 damage from level 4 Precision Aura. Dota 2 rylai item build of traxex
    • There is a visual particle effect that indicates when this ability is active – it looks similar to dry ice emitting from her body. If the visual effect is no longer visible, you are in the ineffective range of this skill, and therefore the bonus is not granted.

Skill build

Skill Build Explanation

Frost arrows (Q) is maxed first for the increase in movement slow (11% to 60% slow is massive). Gust (W) is maxed second for the increase in duration and Marksmanship (R) at all necessary levels.

Why is Precision aura maxed last?

  • Drow Ranger has low natural agility growth (1.9 per level), and the damage from Precision Aura is drawn from this, getting one level gives so little damage that it isn’t noticeable (4.7 with first level aura at level 5, before Marksmanship (R)).
  • This combined with the fact that Aura scales slowly, only increasing by 4% for each level after first, meaning that maxing Precision Aura pre level 11 is pretty much worthless.

Items

  • Power treads: Increases DPS and damage
  • Shadow blade/Blink Dagger: Good for escaping and initiating and more DPS, but only good in lower level skill brackets.
  • Helm of the Denominator: Life steal good for jungling, works well with your high damage, doesn’t work with frost arrows together. If ganking, use frost arrows, if farming, use life steal. Can also be used to stack Ancients.
  • Yasha/Manta style: More dps and move speed, creates illusions – good for escaping and confusing enemies.
  • Crystalys/Daedalus: More damage and crit.
  • Butterfly: More DPS and the agility goes with all the aura. Dota 2 rylai item build of traxex

Phases of the Game

Early game:

  • Get as much last hits and denies as possible.
  • Know when to be aggressive and when to be defensive. If you can out harass your enemy while at a safe distance, then you can probably score a kill if you be more aggressive. If however, the enemy have killed/almost killed you multiple time, be more defensive.
  • Don’t forget to use your Silence (W) if enemies are coming to gank you.
  • Your first priority is to farm, second priority is to kill enemies.
  • Harass enemy hero’s frequently to lower their farm.
  • Target using Frost arrows (Q) and use them sparingly, do not auto-cast (unless ganking or fleeing a gank).

Mid game:

  • Continue farming, but leave the lane to help your team in fights, ganks, or push towers.
  • Use the jungle to gain life instead of buying pots or going back to base.
  • Always have a Town Portal Scroll.
  • Don’t initiate team fights, let the disablers do that and you follow up with a Silence (W).
  • Choose a method of escape: Shadow blade or Manta style.
  • (Situational/optional) Dominate an alpha wolf with your Helm of the Dominator, then solo Roshan.

Late game:

  • Stay with your team, you are far too squishy to be caught alone.
  • Push towers and racks with your team.
  • If you are losing health turn off the auto cast Frost arrows (Q). As a result, life steal will be active by default because of Helm of the Dominator.
  • Always have a town portal scroll to defend your own towers and to TP back to base.

Helpful Tips

  • Manually casting Frost Arrows (Q) (known as orbwalking) will prevent you from drawing creep/tower aggro. This is also needed to kite and escape opponents in a bad situation.
  • An early level of Silence (W) is crucial to defend against spellcasters, although it will still be maxed last.
  • With the new Marksmanship (R) , maintaining a distance is important for Traxex now. Make sure you are more than 375 units away from your enemy and kite them to keep your distance so you will enjoy the full bonus effect of Marksmanship,
  • If during a team fight the enemy heroes get close to each other, using Silence (W) in many or even all of them can simply turn the battle aside, making Drow Ranger not just a great carry, but also a powerful disablers/initiators too, if given the chance.

Dota 2 sange and yasha discussion boards

Dota 2 sange and yasha discussion boards

Dota 2 sange and yasha discussion boards

General Discussionsange and kaya, kaya and yasha, sange and yasha and kaya?

Do you think Kaya will build into items with Yasha and Sange to make good stat items for int/str or int/agi? Also do you think all 3 will be able to be combined into 1 big item ever?

Tiny could use any of them I guess

Maybe kaya can combine with another kaya to form kaya & kaya, which I can buy on tinker for 20% spell amp

Yes it will
It’ll be good
On gyro, viper, tiny, sf

i think it could happen in future, we may see three sword style soon.

jdf shud jst make comedy peformance based on dota

kaya should combine with veil to give minus magic resistance

I’m pretty sure we’ll see S&K and K&Y in the next large patch. I’m honestly kinda surprised they didn’t add it this patch. The three swords might take a bit longer to come out but I’m pretty sure it will arrive eventually.

And also a Kaya upgrade akin to manta and halberd

kaya + maelstrom would be a dream come true

ahh yes, can’t wait for KYS to be a thing.

I remember a custom game has that 3-swords items. Its called Trivatum if i not wrong

this kind of tri sword upgrade exists in many custum games already, probably gonna happen in a few months

It’s called Triumvirate and gives insane stats.

I hope real dota’s version of triumvirate doesn’t just straight up suck.

Isnt kaya a staff?

The staff of a renowned sorceress, lost for countless millennia. Dota 2 sange and yasha discussion boards

Isn’t ogre club an axe?

Oh but it ain’t ogre club no more. Now it is “Ogre Axe”.

Well it is a staff but even the icon kinda looks like a sword. Let’s call it the int sword since valve is fucking up their own conventions anyways.

aghs is made of an orb, an axe, a sword and a staff.
i dont see a reason to not make 3 swords out of 2 swords and a staff

Yasha=manta
Sange=halberd
Kaya+. =caster thingy

Any Ideas? Methinks aether

Yasha builds into Manta. Dota 2 sange and yasha discussion boards
Sange builds into Halberd.
Kaya should build into something.

Yasha+Sange+Kaya seems like a valid Skadi buildup, except you’d have to change what Skadi gives a bit.
Or KYS (lul) could be a Skadi alternative-like item.

aether+kaya sounds good, like an upgraded version of old aether
alot of casters would like both items right now, thats 2 slots for cheep stuff tho. i see tinker players buying both of them after blink. build them into a 5k gold item with a 500-1kgold recipe sounds good to me in theory

Maybe build kaya into something that can give unlimited cast range, like hurricane pike, but for spellcasters?

lol kaya + sange + yasha = dawnbringer from hon

If Kaya plus aether is a thing, which to me sounds good, it needs an active

It would be cool if kaya + aether created an item that acts like the pugna ward, but is cast on one person and has a duration and all.

Imagine that shit. You build kaya + aether, when that skywrath is rampaging through your team, suddenly you throw that shit onto him and he kills himself with his own mana usage.

I like the idea of smth that maybe has a bloodrage type thing in that it gives u huge magic amp but make amps u up against magic

KYS (lol) is gonna be a 6.3k gold item. What hero could build this? Will it even be a thing? Because its gonna be an all around item thats gonna be a little more expensive than skadi, but with passives like maim, ms and spell amp. I cant even think of a hero who will get this unless theyre full slotted or something and they have the conponents already. Maybe Tiny? Gyro? If it follows the sny trend it wont be giving an active. Its like a more expensive skadi kinda. Dota 2 sange and yasha discussion boards I wonder why they didnt add it this patch tho
