DoTA 2 Skins and Cosmetic Items Explained

What are Dota2 skins and how do they improve your gaming experience? Where can you find great Dota2 skins? How much do they cost?

As a regular Dota 2 player, you’re probably up to date with what skins are, what they are used for, and what they can do during the game. But if you are just getting started with Dota 2, or you simply want to find out more about Dota 2 skins, then this article is definitely for you.

Items versus Skins

Just like Counter Strike, Team Fortress, or Warframe, you can also purchase items and skins for Dota 2.

There are 2 types of items: cosmetic items and power boosting items. Skins are part of the first category, as they have a purely visually enhancing role; skins do not affect the abilities and powers of Heroes.

Did you know? Contributions to Dota 2’s development consistently come from sources outside the main development team.

What are power boosting items? They give Heroes enhanced abilities and functions so they can perform better during a battle. Power/Ability enhancing items are not tied to a particular Hero, therefore you must pay increased attention when choosing your items. Some items won’t work on some Heroes, while other items can be combined for improved results. In short, these items provide additional benefits to Heroes that the leveling up process cannot.

Tip: A Hero can have a maximum of 6 items in his Inventory, and a maximum of 6 items in his Stash. If you get more items, they will be automatically dropped in the fountain.

Dota 2 Skins You Can’t Miss

There are a lot of skins to choose from in Dota 2. This is part of the game’s charm, and a lot of players go above and beyond to personalize their Dota 2 experience. Skins don’t interfere with the mechanics of the game, they are purely decorative.

Did you know? You can buy user-created skins in the Steam Workshop. They are only put out for sale if they have been approved by Valve.

1. Equipment Skins

This skins type is used to change the way a Hero looks, from their clothes to the way their weapons are designed. While these skins do not alter the Heroes’ powers, they can definitely give your hero a fiercer look.

You can choose from:

2. Couriers

As the name suggests, the Couriers are items that take the form of a donkey / flying donkey. Their main responsibility is to carry your items to and from your base. Animal Couriers and Flying Couriers are considered Consumable Items.

You can also customize your courier in the loadout screen. You can equip the Couriers with specific visual elements. Once again, these elements do not influence the way the Courier performs. However, there are some Unusual Couriers which come with a special effect. The effect can be either Ethereal Gem or Prismatic Gem.

Custom Couriers are classified in 5 categories: Rare, Mythical, Legendary, Immortal, Ancient.

3. Announcers

This collection of cosmetic items is a bit different, because it does not change the way a Hero or a player looks. What it does is it changes the voice of the Announcer with explosive commentaries, unruly humor, or a drunken Pirate Captain. There are a lot of Announcers items to choose from – can you decide which voice is your favourite?

4. Custom Wards

Are you getting bored with the way your wards look? With Custom Wards you can change the appearance of your Observer Wards and Sentry Wards.

Did you know? Items such as skins are the main source of income for Dota2. Creators selling their items on the Steam Market receive a percentage of sales. In 2013 the income for an average contributor was $15k per year.

5. HUD Skins

This skins category is a bit special, as it allows you to change how the heads up display looks. What’s even better about this skins category is that it can be equipped by other players in the same match.

There are more DoTA 2 skins that invite you to fully personalise your gaming experience:

  • Music
  • Emoticons
  • Mouse cursors
  • Weather effects
  • Blink effects
  • Teleport effects
  • Custom base items
  • Taunta
  • Multikill banners

Skin Categories: Rarity & Quality

Items and skins in Dota2 are usually categorized into Rarity. The rarer the item, the more valuable it is. Some players spend a lot of money on their items; there are even Dota 2 skins that cost a big-ticket. Depending on their rarity, items are classified as:

Did you know? Initially, DoTA was used as an acronym from Defense of The Ancients. Multiple versions of the same game were produced, but Dota Allstars was the most popular Dota version. Dota Allstars was the game that inspired the development of Dota 2.

When discussing the Quality of an item or a Dota2 skin, there are 4 categories it can fall into. Normal items are the most widespread, while genuine items are… well, highest in QUALITY. The 4 Quality types are:

Quality can be altered by Gems.

Did you know? DoTA emerged in 2003, and Dota 2 was officially released in 2013. The creator of the most popular version of DoTA retired in 2005, only 2 years after the game’s launch. By 2008, DoTA was already one of the most prominent electronic sports titles.

What is the Steam Market?

A concept for DoTA2 Skins. You can find more skins on the Steam Market.

As mentioned before, you can buy and sell skins and items forDota 2 in the Steam Market. The Steam Market also commercializes items for Counter Strike, Primal Carnage, Warframe, Team Fortress, The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot, Robot Roller, and more. The Dota2 skins you purchase from Store. SteamPowered. com cannot be re-sold earlier than 1 week from the moment of the purchase.

When you make your first purchase in the market you will pay real money. After that, as you earn more money, you will be allowed to use it to purchase other items or skins. You cannot withdraw your money to your card or use it in any way other than buying and selling on the Steam Market.

This is one great drawback of the Steam Market system, because the money you earn stays on the website, whether you are an Items Creator or an Items Buyer.

What are your solutions for solving this problem on Steam Market? Do you think that a new payment system that allows withdrawals to PayPal (for example) would be a good idea? Why / why not?

Just leave your comments below and let’s see how we can change it together!

The Best Hardware for Dota 2: Keyboards, Mice, and Monitors

Whether you’re looking to raise your MMR or you play Dota for fun and you’re in need of new gear, it’s easy to find peripherals out there that promise to enhance your gaming performance. If you’re not sure where to begin, we’ve put together a useful guide to help you find the best hardware for Dota 2.

Best Mechanical Keyboards for Dota 2

Mechanical keyboards are almost universally preferred by gamers. Unlike membrane keyboards, a mechanical keyboard offers a pleasant tactile experience and, even more importantly, ensures that every keystroke is actuated by the same amount of pressure each time. Membrane keyboards are unreliable at best, and while they might be acceptable for work and casual gaming, you’ll quickly leave them to gather dust once you’ve had a chance to try out a good mechanical keyboard.

There are plenty of excellent mechanical keyboards out there, but we’re partial to the Logitech G Pro Keyboard, especially for Dota. Mouse for playing dota 2 If the $129.99 price point of the Logitech G Pro scares you off, we’ve also had good experiences with mechanical keyboards from Corsair and SteelSeries, many of which are slightly cheaper.

If you need to be selective about which peripherals you’re upgrading, a mechanical keyboard should be a top priority for most Dota players.

Best Gaming Mice for Dota 2

Finding a gaming mouse you like can be quite a personal thing. One person’s dream mouse might feel weird and uncomfortable in the hands of someone else. Most professional Dota 2 players prefer lightweight optical mice, but if you’re struggling to find space on the keyboard for your hotkeys, there are models out there that include up to 20 side-buttons. While DPI settings are, again, a matter of personal preference, you want to make sure you’re getting a mouse that has a wide range of native DPIs. Don’t be fooled into thinking that a higher DPI is automatically better — at the end of the day, DPI is mostly a number used by manufacturers for marketing purposes, and there is no ‘ideal’ DPI. Many Dota 2 players prefer to play at 400 or 800 DPI, and these are the native settings on many gaming mice.

The Logitech G Pro Gaming Mouse was our favorite peripheral of 2016, and it’s perfect for Dota 2. Other trustworthy manufacturers of gaming mice include Zowie, Corsair, and Razer.

Best Monitors for Dota 2

When it comes to monitors, it’s all about speed. Games of Dota are won or lost because of split-second interactions, and the input lag of standard work monitors can place an artificial cap on your skills as a player. Finding a monitor with a low response time is essential, and check out the specs of any model you’re looking to make sure that you’re buying a product with a response time lower than 5ms.

The refresh rate of a given monitor is another key factor to take into consideration. While having a 144hz monitor isn’t essential in Dota the same way it is in CS:GO, it’s a massive quality-of-life upgrade.

Accurate color reproduction is not so important for gaming so the panel type doesn’t matter quite so much. There are a few monitors on the market, like the Asus AG279Q, that combine all these feature on an IPS panel, but they’re not cheap.

Finding the best hardware for playing Dota isn’t easy, and a lot of it will come down to personal preference. We recommend going to a physical store and trying out products in person before making a purchase. The best hardware isn’t cheap, but if you’re able to sniff out good deals, it doesn’t have to cost a fortune.

Gameplay [ edit ]

Playstyle
Faceless Void is a hero who holds mastery over time. He dashes through the battlefield, rewinding damage with Time Walk , stuns enemies with Time Lock , and causes their abilities to recharge slower with Time Dilation . His signature ability, Chronosphere , creates a bubble in space-time, stopping everything caught within so he and his team can beat down the enemy without retribution. As a melee carry, Faceless Void requires a large amount of farm in order to deal decent damage, but can be devastatingly powerful once he has his items. Faceless Void can be played solo in the off-lane, or with a support in the safe lane.
Pros Cons
  • Wide area lockdown.
  • Low cooldown escape ability.
  • High damage output late game.
  • Item and farm dependent.
  • Chronosphere can also disable allies.
  • Weak against silence and long disable.

Tips & Tactics [ edit ]

General [ edit ]

  • The unique nature of Faceless Vo >Abilities [ edit ]

Time Walk [ edit ]

  • Time Walk is a Pseudo Blink ability that renders Faceless Vo >Time Dilation [ edit ]
  • Time Dilation prov >Invoker ‘s Invoke , Zeus ‘s Arc Lightning or Bristleback ‘s Quill Spray and Viscous Nasal Goo .
  • It remains potent against enemies with moderate cds, since time dilation’s duration may prevent them from casting their spell a second time during an engagement.
  • If you’re fighting an enemy one-on-one, use it when Chronosphere is about to expire instead of at the start, to waste no time on the debuff’s duration.
  • Time Dilation has a great potential against illusion heroes due to its mechanic as it highlights only a real hero . The great part is that it works before and after the illusions appear.

Time Lock [ edit ]

  • Time Lock is a powerful bash-type passive ability that allows Faceless Vo >Chronosphere [ edit ]
  • Chronosphere is one of the most powerful and most feared area disables in the game, capable of stopping entire teams in their tracks regardless of spell immunity. Used wisely, it can allow Faceless Vo >Rubick on the enemy team. While Faceless Vo >Spell Steal since he is able to cast Time Dilation in order to have it as his last cast spell, but of course, be sure to catch Rubick ins >Reverse Polarity , Vacuum , Berserker’s Call can clump the enemy up together to allow Faceless Vo >Chain Frost , Earth Splitter , Sonic Wave , and so on.
  • It is important to remember that while enemies ins >Shallow Grave , Cold Embrace and Purification can foil attempts at getting kills, and disables can still be targeted on Faceless Vo >Moonlight Shadow and Shukuchi .
    • Chronosphere’s True Sight also reveals wards.
  • Keep in mind that Faceless Vo >Juggernaut can continue hitting targets ins >Omnislash , Storm Spirit can travel through with Ball Lightning , and so on.

Items [ edit ]

  • Tango regenerates health lost to enemy harassment, which Faceless Vo >Healing Salve also restores health.
  • Slippers of Agility provides Faceless Void with increased base damage as well as a small amount of armor, giving him better farming power and a little physical survivability.
  • Quelling Blade increases Faceless Vo >Magic Stick can be useful to get on Faceless Vo >Boots of Speed give more movement speed, important in the early game since he is a melee hero who must be able to position himself quickly for last-hitting and avoiding harass.
  • Magic Wand gives Faceless Vo >Power Treads prov >Mask of Madness allows Faceless Void to lifesteal, important for ensuring that his HP remains topped off, especially while farming in the jungle and lifesteal works with Time Lock damage as well. The active also gives lots of attack speed for him to proc Time Lock.
  • Battle Fury is a well-balanced farming item that prov >Butterfly ‘s evasion gives him survivability against physical attacks, increasing his ability to ignore enemy attacks while the increased agility, damage and attack speed greatly increase his ability to deal damage with his attacks.
  • Black King Bar can be a powerful defensive item if the enemy has ranged disablers nukers that can position themselves to avoid being caught by Chronosphere. Activating spell immunity during Chronosphere allows Faceless Void to avoid being disabled or nuked down from outside the sphere, which lets him focus his undivided attention on targets inside. The item also provides Faceless Void with more HP and attack damage, giving him increased survivability and damage output.
  • Vladmir’s Offering is a safer alternative to Mask of Madness , trading away the attack speed in exchange for an aura that affects your team, giving them lifesteal and attack damage.
  • Mjollnir is a strong farming and attack damage item that greatly increases Faceless Vo >Monkey King Bar increases attack damage and can be a necessary item to deal damage to enemies with evasion.
  • Aghanim’s Scepter is a situational item to pick up on Faceless Vo >Moon Shard can be a strong damage item for Faceless Vo >Daedalus is one of the best damage boosting items Faceless Vo >Diffusal Blade is a sol >Medusa and Wraith King ).
  • Blink Dagger massively enhances Faceless Vo >Refresher Orb is a risky but strong utility item that allows Faceless Vo >Nullifier can be picked up by Faceless Vo >Aeon Disk to nullify Faceless Vo >Linken’s Sphere is commonly built as a means to increase Faceless Vo >Heart of Tarrasque is always useful in any low-HP hero. The gigantic HP increase will allow Faceless Vo >Aeon Disk greatly increases his survivability and allows him to counter-initiate with Chronosphere even if he got caught or just to escape but heal back the damage with Time Walk.

Group Stage ended the same way it began, a playoff.

The playoff today between LGD and Dignitas decided who moved into the upper bracket and who fell into the lower. It was one game, winner take all.

With LGD’s win and Dignitas’s loss, this means, as with all members of the lower bracket – Dignitas is now in the land of single elimination matches. Lose a match and you are gone from the Tournament.

LGD gets the safety of the upper bracket. Lose one here and you go down to the lower bracket where you are one loss away from being eliminated but you are still in it. Last year, IG came charging back out of the lower bracket to win it all – so no one is out of it until they are eliminated.

We also finished our earlier one-v-one matches and this Thursday you will be able to see the final – Mushi vs iceiceice.

Compendium owners playing in the International Fantasy Challenge have a few days to mull over their choices. You have until noon Wednesday to lock in your picks.

Our coverage will begin again Wednesday morning around 11am from Benaroya Hall. Until then, so we don’t grow apart… maybe we should keep in touch, join us over on Twitter for a few days of behind the scenes coverage and let’s talk fantasy teams.

Make sure to join us Wednesday.

There is something magical about the main stage at Benaroya Hall. It transforms the tournament from quiet conference rooms with just a referee observer, to an electric atmosphere with thousands of screaming fans and hundreds of thousands of viewers. It can change a team, energize them, give them new life. It is still everyone’s tournament to win.

Two Times?

IG insists they feel no pressure entering this year’s International as the returning champs. They know there is a target on their back, but they are confident.

Maybe it is nerves or maybe it really is just proof of how tough the competition has gotten but they have not started this International playing as champions.

When asked what they would like to do this International – the answer is quick – be the first two time International champs.

It isn’t too late, they have pulled it together enough to get into the upper brackets. From there, they can launch their assault on winning it all.

The answer was equally quick when ChuaN was asked what he did with his prize money from last year – He gave half of it to his mom.

They can choose their reasons why this year, first two time champs or so ChuaN’s mom can get the other half of the prize money, but either way you can’t count IG out.

Day 2 Is Over!

As day 2 draws to a close, Alliance goes into the final day of group stage undefeated. The rest of the field shows as many surprises as expected results. But it isn’t over for anyone. We should all remember Na’Vi’s showing last year that had them leaving group stage just barely avoiding the lower bracket yet still pulling it together and making it to the finals.

As we get closer to the main stage event this Wednesday August 7th, those unable to make it to Benaroya Hall continue to find friends and other Dota 2 fans in local PubStomp events. Currently there are over 18,000 people signed up for 144 events spanning 48 countries – truly an International Event! Monday will be the last day you can register your event on the site but you can continue to signup for a local PubStomp after that.

Compendium owners, you have another night where you can make moves with your roster in the International Fantasy Challenge. Let us know how your fantasy team is doing by sharing your results with us on Twitter.

Monday has short schedule with only one match for each team but we will also be finishing some of the one-v-one matches after the team games. First up will be Mu vs Ferrari 430 with the winner playing iceiceice. The winner of that match will face Mushi Thursday August 8th for the Solo Championship Grand Finals at Benaroya Hall.

Yesterday’s Fantasies

Compendium owners had a busy day yesterday tracking their picks during the day and making adjustments to their rosters last night.

While Alliance went undefeated yesterday, if you had an all Alliance team – you did not come out on top. They had a combined score of 119.7 but if you took all the top high scores for the various positions, you end up with only 2 Alliance members and a score of 128.5.

Alliance is missing the highest rated fantasy player for Saturday – Dendi from Na’Vi who scored an incredible 29.7 and the second highest support player Banana from TongFu who scored 22.2 and the second carry Era from Fnatic who weighed in with 25.9 points.

The top fantasy players by position:
Carry Loda Alliance 27.7
Carry Era Fnatic 25.9
Solo Dendi Na’Vi 29.7
Support EGM Alliance 23.0
Support Banana TongFu 22.2

With Alliance still strong but other individual players trending upwards – what moves do you make? Remember you can make lineup changes every night after the last game and keep changing all the way up to the next day’s games.

Not an Underdog

Na’Vi became an instant Dota 2 community favorite by winning The First International.

Last year they returned as the heavy favorite but proceeded to have a rough group stage.

That ended up not making a difference, they came charging back and went on to the finals. There they lost to Invictus Gaming.

As they enter this year, you would think the pressure would be off. They aren’t returning champions, they’re just another team – but they aren’t. They are Na’Vi.

As Dendi points out, each year, each tournament, each game is more and more pressure. All the teams are getting better, any team can win any game or tournament.

But they are still many people’s pick to win it all. Dendi wishes they weren’t. He wishes they were an underdog, an unknown, but if they are going to have that pressure – bring it on – they will crush them all.

Day One Is Over

The first day of The International’s group stage is over. So what are you going to do for the next 10 hours? Don’t worry, we have some suggestions.

With the first day over, Compendium owners can check their teams for The International Fantasy Challenge and see how they are doing. Remember, you can change up your teams. Decide who is hot and who is getting benched. Move them around to your heart’s content until 9am PST tomorrow morning.

You can also help us decide what to cover tomorrow. Besides the last two team profiles – Na’Vi and IG, we will be covering all the action. What would you like to see covered? What pictures are we missing? What questions do you have? Tweet your suggestions with the hashtag #TI3Q and we will go through them in the morning.

Other than that, rest up. We have a full day of games Sunday.

Strange

Strange quality is an item quality found on cosmetic items obtained from unlocking Treasure Chests of certain series. Strange items track certain in-game events, such as kills, victories, towers destroyed, as well as hero specific characteristics like Treants created by Nature’s Prophet. This record can be viewed by other players. As a strange item’s counter increases, its prefix changes according to its rank. Visually, strange items appear exactly the same as normal items.

The hexadecimal color code for Strange items is

Strange Modifiers [ edit ]

Strange modifiers are consumable tools that can be applied to a strange item to add additional counters. A maximum of 3 additional strange modifiers can be applied to a single strange item. Applying these modifiers does not override the original tracked statistic. Does not work on regular items.

General Ranks [ edit ]

Stranges rank up based on the number of tracked stats. At each new rank, the prefix of the Strange will change to its respective rank. For example: An Unremarkable ranked Vile Carnival Hat will have its name changed from “Strange Vile Carnival Hat” to “Unremarkable Vile Carnival Hat”.

Professional Career [ edit ]

Early Years [ edit ]

The first time YaphetS came into public attention is the time his replays are continuously uploaded in sGamer. com, which received comments on being self-hyped. YaphetS himself had arguments on the forum causing him to be publicly disliked. [4] In February 2008’s CDL tournament, YaphetS and his team Sison competed and won the first match. However, in the later match, his team was caught cheating and was disqualified. YaphetS, being the team captain, suffered from public criticism. Soon after, he disappeared from the dota scene. [5]

In May 2008, an old school Chinese team maGe reformed with YaphetS as the team leader. In an interview by sGamer. com he stated that “I want to say that our plans is to not play just within China, i think we will flourish internationally.” This was regarded as overly arrogant by the community due to the team’s less than ideal results. The team soon disbanded afterwards.

September 2009 in a WCG regional qualifier, Yaphets performed brilliantly, and caught attention of several teams. Less than a month later, Yaphets joins professional team cYc [6] , and the team was able to challenge top teams such as EHOME and CH at that time. However, a wrong move by the manager sealed their fate as they disbanded. [7] He lost to devilnam.

The team soon disbanded afterwards.

cYc [ edit ]

September 2009 in a WCG regional qualifier, Yaphets performed brilliantly, and caught attention of several teams. Less than a month later, Yaphets joins professional team cYc [6] , and the team was able to challenge top teams such as EHOME and CH at that time. However, a wrong move by the manager sealed their fate as they disbanded. [7] He lost to devilnam.

Frostivus 2013: Wraith-Night

Frostivus 2013 is a Christmas event that began on December 12, 2013. Skeleton King has been removed for this event, but was resurrected as Wraith King after global players collected enough souls in the Wraith-Night game mode.

Contents

Wraith Night (Game mode) [ edit ]

Wraith-Night is a co-op matchmaking mode in which 5 players attempt to defeat 13 waves of creeps while defending the Wraith King ‘s Altar. The final wave is a battle with the resurrected Wraith King himself.

  • Gold is earned by collecting bags dropped by creeps and keeping towers alive during waves.

Map [ edit ]

  • 5 entrance points.
  • 6 destructible friendly towers.
    • Friendly towers respawn after every wave.
  • 4 indestructible enemy towers guarding spawn spots.
  • 1 shop.

Waves [ edit ]

There are 13 waves in this mode. Each wave has its own name and several different creeps as well as tougher mini-bosses.

Enemies will spawn in waves from 5 possible areas: Near the 4 enemy towers, and an alternate path south.

Tips [ edit ]

  • Groups should generally contain at least 1 of the following:
    • A tank (e. g. Axe or Sven).
    • A kiter (e. g. Drow or Windranger).
    • A healer (e. g. Omniknight or any hero carrying Slippers of Halcyon and Mekanism)
  • All heroes should build “tanky” items first since damage is not a priority during the first few waves. Heroes that use a lot of mana should then get mana items while those that do not should focus on damage or utility.
    • Heart of Tarrasque’s tooltip is false; its health regeneration is disabled by ANY enemy attack.
  • Heroes that are close to buying their next item should stay near the top, close to the only shop.
  • A Magic Stick is very useful for regen on certain rounds (such as 4 and 7) given its low gold cost.
  • Almost all enemies are vulnerable to slows but some of the later ones are immune to stuns.
  • Dead heroes may freely move items to and from their stash regardless of their proximity to the shop.

Difficulty settings [ edit ]

After completeing each difficulty, players will be presented the chance to restart the game mode from the next difficulty tier.

Level Explanation Bounty
Normal
New Game+ Each wave will spawn more creeps. Certain enemies will have increased stats, and spells are a level higher. Gives 25% more Fragments
New Game++ Each wave will spawn even more creeps. Certain enemies will have twice the increased stats, and spells are two levels higher. Gives 50% more Fragments
New Game+++ Each wave will spawn even more creeps. Certain enemies will have thrice the increased stats, and spells are three levels higher. Some spells are capped at level 3 rather than 4. Gives 75% more Fragments

Dying & Defeat [ edit ]

Players do not respawn upon death. Instead, players can be revived in two ways.

  • Being revived by other players.
    • Reviving an ally takes 7 seconds.
    • This time is decreased if more players are revivaling the same ally.
    • While reviving an ally, players cannot attack but will take damage.
  • Buying back with gold.

Defeat occurs under two scenarios:

  • The Wraith King’s alter is destroyed.
  • All players have died.

Available heroes [ edit ]

While the hero selection is limited, some of their abilities have been changed to better accommodate the new gameplay. Only abilities that have been changed are listed here.

In-game item changes [ edit ]

Unique in-game items have been added for Wraith-Night.

Item Description Cost
Greater Clarity Restores 150 mana 90
Greater Salve Restores 1000 health over 10 seconds, interrupted on damage 275
Arcane Boots II Restores 250 mana, +500 mana, 75 movement speed 2450
Slippers of Halcyon Channeled AoE heal, 4 armor, 75 movement speed 2075

Some existing items have been changed.

Item Description Cost
Healing Salve 100
Quelling Blade 3000
Helm of the Dominator Dominate active has been removed. Gives 25 damage, 5 armor, 20% lifesteal
Shiva’s Guard Arctic Blast cooldown reduced to 20 seconds, Freezing Aura radius reduced to 150, and attack speed slow reduced to 30

Scoring [ edit ]

Score is recorded by two counters: Phantom Fragments and Shining Fragments.

  • Phantom Fragments are obtained by playing Wraith-Night and clearing waves.
  • Shining Fragments are obtained by playing Wraith-Night with an active Wraith King’s Favor bonus.
    • Players who have an active Wraith King’s Favor will also grant a 10% stackable bonus for all other players.
    • Wraith King’s Favor also increases the amount of Phantom Fragments earned.
  • Shining Fragments can be exchanged for Phantom Fragments at a rate of 2:1.
  • The number of fragments earned is determined by the wave number.
Round Number Base Phantom Fragments Earned Per Round Shining Fragments Earned Per Round (With Booster)
Round 1 48 140
Round 2 60 160
Round 3 72 200
Round 4 88 240

General DiscussionHardest hero to get rampage

Guys, any idea which hero is super difficult to get rampage?

venomancer with only ult leveled

Not IO for sure, his nuke can deal up to 900 damage in aoe, so given a good blackhole he is not THAT hard to get a rampage

Spectre
Cuz she’s an ultra dispenser xd

shadow demon
dazzle
bestmaster
abaddon
4th spirit 😂😂😂👌

^have u checked his lvl 25 talent?

Chen, no one 5 mans in the laning stage and after the laning stage your damage falls off hard.

Tusk or treant are pretty hard to get rampages on. Maby if treant is super farmed and has 15 min aghanim refresher. but with tha much money every hero can get a rampage. i have never seen an underlord rampage eather so that should be pretty hard too i guess.
bat is also a hero that comes to my mind as a hard hero to get rampages on.

literally bane any single target suport hero who has no damage build

I shall try getting rampage using chen

I would say Bat will have quite hard time rampaging.

Bane, even without a lot of farm, has 500dmg brainsap on lvl 25, every 1.5 seconds – in good circumstances, he can get rampage within 10 seconds.
Dazzle doesnt sound so horrible – combined with a big wave of creeps (or brood/PL/NP), he can nuke enemies for 1400 dmg as well. Or poison touch build.
Tusk & walrus punch, dropping every 12 seconds 1500dmg. And snowball lvl 15 as well, 350-500dmg. Not that bad.

Actually it depends on circumstances. All those sounds easier, than for example Tide, who has splash dmg, but he has no way to finish off the heroes, as he usually has no real dmg. It is easier with him to get tripple kill, but I would say harder than getting rampage with others.

Surprised no one said Omniknight yet. Underlord I actually managed to get a rampage on before. https://www. dotabuff. com/matches/3229770111

Omni with 500dmg nuke every 8 seconds and 200dmg hits, when nobody can escape?

If you play him as a core, planning 20lvl +100dmg, he is quite strong. I used to experiment on him, going PT, Orchid, SaY, bloodthorn (wanted skadi, but the game ended usually before) and upgrade lvl 25 degen aura – he hits like a truck, slowing 85%, so nobody can escape.

Hard to say. Depends on circumstance(traditional Dazzle, or did you try carry Dazzle, that kind of thing), the players you’re against(your skill, or are you smurfing 1k), other factors like perfect teamfight setup, but in my opinion, I’d say Ogre.

Dazzle, chen, VISAGE. xD

visage rampage is easy dude

Ursa, you blink in, get a kill and get out, you never 1vs5.

sand king, the amount of times i got cucked at 4x kill and the 5th running away is fucked up.

ogre? EZ rampage man

all you need is a deep prayer to gaben and rngesus

then you go DING DING DING MFER, 10 4xmulticasts in a row

Ding ding ding motherfooker!

I got an ultra on lion once, so yeah rampage is possible on the hero.

Id say shadow shaman is hard to rmpg with

whosyourdaddy
Cheat Enabled !

Treant, chen, io, nyx

I still think bane is one of the hardest. Maybe shamen but wards are a lot of damage out put.

Techies.
NvM i check techies magnus combo

to you all who saying shadow shaman

Shadow shaman can definitely get a rampage if teammates stand in wards, like are rp’d or black holed or something.

I was going to say disruptor but with aghs his storm does a lot of dmg.

So three guys with like no dmg spells are wyvern, kotl, shadow demon, bane. Wyvern can only kill 1 guy with curse, though he can get a pretty spammable nuke in splinter blast at 25, but it’s still not likely to get a rampage.

Sure kotl can potentially do double 700 dmg nukes but it has a long charge time and it’s unlikely you’ll hit entire team just sitting there waiting to die.

Shadow demon same thing, would have to stack a ton of poisons and it takes forever to line all that up. I guess he could disperse a really strong carry and have the illusions kill everyone.

Bane has with aghs a 500 pure dmg nuke on a 1.5s cd at level 25.but damn that’s a lot of levels and items.

Realistically any non carry is super hard to get a rampage anyway, even a big time nuker like qop or AA or something needs huge setup to get it.
