Dota 2 The International 2015: Bracket, schedule, format and scores

The International 5 won’t just be the biggest in Dota 2 history, it’s poised to be the largest eSports event ever. A record-breaking $18 million prize pool awaits, with the winning team taking over $6 million of the pot. The last year has been tumultuous with numerous teams changing members, while fan favorites fell off the map in the competitive scene. This makes it one of the most fascinating events ever.
The group stage was finalized after a week of play from July 27-30, and now we’re left with the main event. 16 teams remain in contention with a wide variety of nations represented. There’s no need to feel left out if you’re new to Dota 2 and The International. Here’s an explanation on how the game works, and once again Valve will be broadcasting a special stream for people new to the game. The commentary will be less in-depth and instead focus on basic concepts over high-level tactics.
This week of competition will break down like this: It is a double-elimination format, meaning teams that earned spots in the Upper Bracket out of the group stage have ample chances to redeem themselves before being eliminated. All games in the Upper Bracket are best-of-three, while the Lower Bracket is a best-of-one, with the grand final being played in a best-of-five series. Selection priority in each series will be determined by coin toss, with a separate coin toss for any winner-take-all final game.
The pool looks very different to last year’s. The main event bracket has been expanded to 16 teams from the eight we had a year ago, and of the eight teams that made the main event last year, seven are returning to the main stage. It’s after those top eight that things get interesting. Only one team from the lower eight returns in 2015, giving us seven news teams vying for the title.
Last year’s International was rather anti-climactic. Newbee were so far ahead of the meta that they had a very easy road through the main stage. Couple this with problems behind the scenes for Alliance and Na’Vi and it was clear the pool wasn’t as strong as it had been in past years. Everything has changed now. Newbee are on the outside looking in, locked in the lower bracket, while LGD gaming were dominant and look like the team to beat.
Everyone is talking about Team Secret, and rightfully so. A new team formed in the last year, Secret is made up of players who felt they’d gone as far as they could with their prior squads, breaking apart to form an All-Star team of sorts. Arteezy and zai joined from Evil Geniuses, KuroKy and Puppey came from Na’Vi and their captain is s4, who left Alliance following their International 2013 win when the team began to flounder. In many ways they are still gelling as a unit, which is terrifying for their competitors given how well they played in the group stage.
Dota 2 Esports: StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor Overview
The StarLadder ImbaTV Minor is only a day away! But it’s another double tournament week of Dota 2, with the WESG 2018-2019 event running simultaneously. If you’re looking for a quick and easy guide to help you keep on top of everything we can expect to see in Kiev, we’ve got you covered.
StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor
The Minor will be Starladder and ImbaTV’s first Minor of this year’s season. The winner will qualify for the final spot in the DreamLeague Season 11 Major, held later this month.
A total of eight teams will fight for not only the spot in the Major, but a $300,000 USD prize pool, and qualification points for TI9 later this year.
Format
Our eight teams are made up of two teams from CIS and China, and one team from each other competing region. (NA, EU, SEA and SA.)
The format for this minor will be GSL based, beginning with the group stages, where will see two groups of four teams. All teams will play a Bo3 series.
The top two teams from each group will advance to the playoffs, while the bottom two teams will be eliminated.
The playoffs will be Single-Elimination, with a Bo3 semifinals and Bo5 grand finals to wrap up the competition.
Groups and opening matches have already been announced. In Group A we’ll see Royal Never Give Up, OG, Flying Penguins and Old but Gold facing off for a spot in the semi-final playoffs. In Group B Vici Gaming, BOOM ID, Gambit Esports and Demolition Boys will battle it out for their chance at the top prize.
South American team, Demolition Boys, qualified for the Minor under the name Team Ood, before rebranding during the break between the SA Qualifiers and the Minor event.
While there’s no doubt that we’re in for an exciting tournament, there’s always some teams who stand out in the lead up to as event. The path to this Minor has been no different. Let’s look at some of the teams whose performances so far earned themselves a spotlight for tomorrow’s opening matches.
Group A – Royal Never Give Up – China
Royal Never Give Up have been one of the most interesting teams to watch throughout the 2019 tournaments. Their recent performance at MDL Macau was something of a Cinderella story, with some unexpected victories against team Liquid and Virtus. pro during the round robin event.
But the fairy tale ended in round two of the playoffs. Will RNG be able to deliver a stronger performance this time and make it to the main event? We’ll know for sure after they meet Flying Penguins in their opening match tomorrow.
Group A – OG – EU
OG are competing in this Minor off the back of a strong performance at ESL One Katowice, where they made it all the way to the lower bracket finals, going home with third place.
The TI8 winners finally seem to be finding their feet with stand-in Igor ‘iLTW’ Filatov. He took out the MVP award at WePlay! Dota 2 Winter Madness earlier this year and played an instrumental role in the team’s win over Fnatic in the playoffs.
iLTW replaced OG’s carry, Anathan ‘Ana’ Pham, at the start of the 2018-2019 season. But Ana will make his return to the scene this week. He’s playing for Australia at the World Electronic Sports Games (WESG).
Whether or not this means this will be iLTW’s last competition with OG is still uncertain. There’s no official word yet on Ana re-joining the team’s roster, and he’s still currently listed as one of OG’s inactive players.
Regardless, we’ll see iLTW and the boys from OG go head to head with CIS team, Old but Gold, in their opening match of the Minor.
Group B – BOOM ID – SEA
Thanks to the overlap of the tournament schedules, BOOM ID gave up their spot at WESG in Chongqing to play in this Minor.
BOOM have been a strong team this season, putting in a great performance throughout the qualifiers, and shocking some with their stomp of better-known SEA teams like FNATIC and Mineski. There opening series will pit them against Gambit Esports.
We chatted with Khezcute from Boom ID just after the team qualified for Kiev, who’s confident the team have gained enough international experience to help them perform their best at this event.
Like RNG, BOOM ID have had a great ride this season, and both have had something of a dramatic rise to prominence since the start of this year in particular. If these two fairy tale teams come up against each other in the play offs, it will be a series to watch.
Group B – Gambit Esports – CIS
Gambit Esports have had a solid start to 2019. They took out first place in both Dota 2 Madness events run by WePlay! this year. They’ve also placed second twice. Nabbing at the number two spot at the Bucharest Minor in January, and then taking second place again at ESL One Katowice last month.
The boys from CIS will face against the winners of the SEA qualifiers, BOOMID in their opening match of the Minor. This will be the first time these two teams encounter each other in the tournament circuit. BOOM’s recent winning performances have been fast-paced, while Gambit’s victory over OG at Katowice has shown they can play hard into the late game. It will be interesting to see how these two teams approach each other in their opening match, and who will end up advancing to the playoff stage.
The Starladder ImbaTV Minor start tomorrow. You can tune in live on StarLadder’s stream or watch on Twitch. Want more Dota 2 action? Follow us on Twitter and YouTube to stay up to date with all the latest Dota 2 news and esports highlights.

With Valve just recently releasing its Dota 2 Update 7.18, a number of changes made their way into the making. This includes everything from hero/item alternations to a complete change of the game’s Meta. Dota 2 wildkins heroes This means everything we know about the game has changed in some way or the other. so, to better educate our readers of the current Carry heroes of the Meta, we are here with a list of the 10 best Dota 2 Carry Heroes of 2018.
Dota 2 Carry Heroes
The Meta for Dota 2 has changed and we are already seeing some new faces making their mark in the current Meta. Dota 2 wildkins heroes However, with Icefrog’s effort to balance the game, he made various changes that completely nerfed some of the most picked heroes while bringing up some that we weren’t used to in a very long time. So, without taking any more of your time, here are the 10 best Carry Heroes in the year 2018.
1. Ursa
Ursa is one of the most popular choices for the role of Carry in the current Dota 2 Meta. Dota 2 wildkins heroes This is due to the recent love the developers have shown to the agility based hero. This combined with his extremely powerful, yet tanky abilities make him a true beast in the game.
2. Spectre
Spectre has been a hero which was a consistent pick even before patch 7.19. Though, after the update tides favored Spectre even more. Her desolate has been buffed up giving Spectre more ease in farming, as well as her updated Dispersion, has given her enhanced tankability during team fights.
3. Terrorblade
Terrorblade finally got his place back in competitive Dota 2 with the recent patches. Immediately after, we saw teams picking up the split push carry to their advantage. Terrorblade’s farming, mobility build that professional players tend to make on this hero has allowed him to fit in many situations.
4. Anti-Mage
Well, one cannot just ignore Magina from the competitive scene no matter what. Anti Mage has been a life saver for many professional teams who consider this hero their last resort in times of need. No matter the changes to the Meta, you will still see Anti Mage being picked up by professional teams every no own then.
5. Phantom Lancer
The place of both Phantom Lancer and Anti-Mage is relatively the same. Phantom lancer slightly wins during the current Meta because of his farming abilities as well as his input from early game. Though professional players tend to favor the hero more for split pushing it certainly doesn’t mean Phantom lancer isn’t good in team fights.
6. Gyrocopter
Though there were slight nerfs to the hero, Gyrocopter still remains a solid pick in the competitive scene. The AOE damage burst and lock down abilities of Gyrocopter make him a favorable pick in many matches. Plus, his incredible ability to quickly finish off lanes, and heroes make him a true contender in the fight for the best Dota 2 Carry.
7. Ember Spirit
A hero that is favored in both mid and carry role, Ember Spirit’s snowball mechanics are so good that no team wants to let go it to others. Ember Spirit is a greatly contested hero in professional matches who will either be picked or get banned in the drafting stage. Almost every team is good with Ember Spirit on their side and therefore the hero is expected to be heavily contested in the future as well.
8. Alchemist
Ever since the update, Alchemist has been revived from the dead. The new build on Alchemist is working wonders in the professional scene and the hero is getting contested more than ever. VG’s Super is trying to get his hands on the hero whenever possible. Alchemist is definitely going to be one of those heroes you will be seeing at The International 2018.
9. Shadow Fiend
Shadow Fiend is among those heroes that have great potential to come back from gold deficit really really fast. Even if Shadow Fiend does not have a good lane stage with a little bit of support and creep stacks Shadow Fiend can be up and running in no time. Being able to take both mid and carry positions the hero has become a necessity in the current Meta. Dota 2 wildkins heroes
10. Faceless Void
Faceless Void has been one of the most consistent picks in Dota 2. However, this agility based character receiving some serious nerfs in the past, the pro scene Meta kicked him out. Well, with patch 7.19, things are looking good for Faceless as more and more players are looking to add him into their drafts. it is because of this newfound love, we thing Faceless Void is going to wreck havoc in the upcoming The International 2018 tournament.
That is it for now, but stay tuned as we going to be bringing you more guides likes this in the coming days. So while you wait for that too happen, comment below and let us know what you think of the guide above. Do you agree with our Top 10 best Dota 2 Carry Heroes guide or do you think we missed out someone very guide?

Politics in America changed Sunday night.
The once sacred tradition of a presidential debate — where candidates typically trade barbs over their vision of the country’s future — exploded into something quite chilling.
The Republican nominee seemingly dismissed the significance of the vulgar language he used toward women a decade ago, apologizing for his conduct but repeatedly saying his remarks were just “locker room talk.”
With Hillary Clinton’s husband and daughter watching from the audience, Donald Trump lashed into Bill Clinton’s infidelities, calling him “abusive.” Trump said he would appoint a special prosecutor as president to investigate her — and even threatened that she would be jailed under his administration.
Clinton didn’t take the bait. She repeated First Lady Michelle Obama’s philosophy articulated at the Democratic convention: “When they go low, we go high.”
But Clinton made clear that her trouble with Trump goes beyond the partisan clash typical of a presidential campaign. She said she spent much of the past 48 hours thinking about the video that shows Trump making lewd and sexually aggressive remarks about women. She said that she had differed before with Republicans over policy.
“I never questioned their fitness to serve,” she said. “Donald Trump is different.”
In another unusual twist, Trump slapped down his own running mate, Mike Pence, when the conversation turned to foreign policy. At last week’s vice presidential debate, Pence said the US should be prepared to strike Syrian government targets to alleviate the siege of Aleppo.
“He and I haven’t spoken and I disagree,” Trump said.
That remark could further strain the relationship between Trump and Pence, which was severely tested over the weekend in the aftermath of Trump’s comments on women coming to light.
Pacing the stage
Trump paced the stage for much of the debate, which was moderated by CNN’s Anderson Cooper and ABC’s Martha Raddatz. He frequently interrupted Clinton and had trouble standing still while she spoke, sometimes appearing in her camera shot.
He lost his composure at one point after a fierce exchange with Clinton about her emails, accusing the moderators of not addressing the issue even though Raddatz asked a question about it.
“Nice, one on three” Trump said, insinuating that the moderators were biased against him.
Trump’s performance and willingness to use every single tool at his disposal, from Clinton scandals to outlining his stark vision of a country in crisis, could electrify his loyal base voters. But the question is whether his stern demeanor, prowling stage presence and vow to prosecute Clinton if elected will help him broaden that voting base in a way that would help him catch up to Clinton’s lead in battleground states and in the national picture.
Hours earlier, Trump made a surprise appearance with women who have in the past accused Bill Clinton of inappropriate sexual activity. The women later attended the debate as members of the audience.
During the debate, Trump insisted he had not approached women without their consent but said he was “embarrassed” by the tape. He constantly tried to redivert the conversation even when challenged by CNN’s Anderson Cooper to his plans to “Make America Great Again,” saying he would go hard after ISIS for example.
Clinton said she had been thinking very carefully about the tape.
“Yes, this is who Donald Trump is,” Clinton said. “This is who Donald Trump is but the question our country must answer is this is not who we are.”
Trump’s turmoil
The turmoil in Trump’s campaign have tipped the Republican Party into chaos. Dozens of elected Republicans in Washington and state capitals around the country have condemned Trump — and many have called for him to step aside. His own running mate, Mike Pence, said Saturday he can’t defend Trump’s comments.
President Barack Obama joined in the condemnation Sunday, saying the comments suggest Trump “doesn’t care much about the basic values.”
“One of the most disturbing things about this election is just the unbelievable rhetoric coming at the top of the Republican ticket,” Obama said at a campaign event in Chicago for US Senate candidate Tammy Duckworth. “I don’t need to repeat it. There are children in the room.”
Trump went into the debate under intense pressure to deliver a powerful performance that demonstrates regret and remorse for his conduct. Only a top-notch showing will help Trump stem the GOP exodus away from his campaign that kicked into full gear Saturday. The drama unfolding before tens of millions of viewers is be a fresh reminder how the former star of “The Apprentice” has effectively turned American politics in 2016 into one giant reality show revolving around himself and consuming the whole country.
Trump’s attempt to rescue his campaign is all the more complicated since the debate will use a town hall format — a tricky one for novice candidates — and will take place in front of a group of undecided voters, some of whom could have pointed questions about his behavior.
Trump must address female voters in particular, given that there is no path to the White House for him unless he can improve his standing among college educated suburban women in key swing states like Pennsylvania and Colorado.
His task is made even more daunting given that he botched the first debate nearly two weeks ago, crushing all the momentum he built up in September and sending his campaign into a spiral, from which, it has not recovered.
Though there was some discussion of policy issues, including tax policy, all eyes were on how Trump responded to the crisis enveloping his campaign. His attempt to save his White House hopes with a big television moment has few precedents in modern political history.
Ironically, one parallel might involve Clinton herself. The future first lady appeared on “60 Minutes” with her husband in 1992 and turned in a stunning performance to rescue his Democratic primary campaign and political career after he was assailed by allegations of infidelity.
Forty years earlier, Richard Nixon pulled off the same kind of high wire act on television that faces Trump when he was in danger of being thrown off Dwight Eisenhower’s presidential ticket due to a campaign finance scandal. His appearance, which came to be known as the Checkers speech, was good enough for him to be retained as vice presidential nominee and saved his political future.
Raised by same Pallid Sybils who bred and birthed them, all sanctioned Oracles were anchored by their physical form to the world we most of us share; meanwhile, their souls roamed far afield, barely bound by the airiest astral umbilicus. From such cosmic roamings the prophets would return, speaking words of fire with tongues of flesh. Their mystic utterances were analyzed by the Cymurri Advisors, who found in them visions of the future, diplomatic advice, all the supernatural ammunition the line of Graven Kings needed to secure victory in every campaign, whether in the court or on the battlefield. Thus it went for generations, the Graventome’s pages filling with the names of triumphant kings and the new domains they had acquired. So it went, that is, until the particular Oracle named Nerif arrived to serve the very last of the stone-helmed kings.
From the first, Nerif’s prophecies were unusual. They seemed not merely to portend the future, but to shape it. The weird soothsayer croaked out advice no one had requested, and suddenly the Cymurri found themselves immersed in conflicts with newfound enemies. The Advisors, sensing a threat to their power, were quick to pin these unwelcome developments on the latest Oracle. They demanded his removal, petitioning the Sybils to reclaim their defective prophet and replace him with a worthy substitute. But Nerif described an ominous dream of the Incubarium’s destruction, and within hours came news of the ancient school’s destruction in a catastrophic avalanche. Fearing the same fate as the Pallid Sybils, the Advisors withdrew to their counsel chambers, suddenly anxious to avoid the Oracle’s notice. The Graven King, however, was a creature of great practicality. He doubted the commitment of his overprudent Advisors. An Oracle of such rarity, he reasoned, ought be used as a weapon to enlarge his domain. He therefore demoted his timid counselors and stationed Nerif at his side. With only a blunt understanding of Nerif’s talent, he boldly stated the outcomes he desired, and coaxed Nerif into uttering his wishes as prophecy.
At first, all was well. The Last Graven King boasted that by adopting Fate’s pet, he had made a plaything of Fate itself. He should have taken it as a warning then when, on the eve of his invasion of the Unsated Satrap’s realm, he attempted to coerce a prediction of certain victory from his Oracle, only to hear Nerif quietly mutter, “It could go either way.” No firmer statement could he force from Nerif’s lips. Still, the King was confident in his army. The Satrapy was landlocked, poorly armed, and shut off from all possible allies. He took “It could go either way” to indicate that with tactical might on his side, there was little risk in his plan.
Of course, we now know that he should have taken the sayer’s words more literally. Even with careful study of the Annotated Annals of If, what happened on the field before the Unsated Satrap’s palace is almost impossible to visualize. It appears that in the midst of the carnage, the battle began to bifurcate. At each pivotal moment, reality calved and broke into bits. Soldiers who staggered and fell in battle also stood sure-footed, forging onward to fight. Their minds also split; the warriors found themselves both dead and alive, existent and non-existent. Victory and defeat were partitioned, so that each separate outcome was experienced in simultaneity by both armies. The universe became a hall of mirrors, with all the mirrors endlessly shattering.
The immediate effect on both parties was insanity. Unable to comprehend the state of being both triumphant and defeated, the Graven King’s mind dispersed into motes of madness. The naive Satrap fared no better. The opposing paired realities continued to split and split again, echoing into infinite histories, all of them populated by a bewildered populace that soon lost the ability to feed, clothe, defend, or reproduce itself in the traditional manner.
Long before the repercussions had played out, however, Cymurri’s wary Advisors had seized Nerif, bound and gagged him, and launched him out of their universe at high speed on a dimensional barque, in the hopes of depositing him where he could do them no harm forever. It was, of course, too late for them. And may well be for us.

Sven, the Rogue Knight, is a versatile melee strength hero with superior physical power coupled with powerful utility abilities. He can fulfill various roles, but is often played as a semi-carry due to his high utility even without items. He possesses a versatile arsenal, from Warcry, which hastens allies and shields them from attacks, to the throwable Storm Hammer that stuns enemies around the targeted unit. With enough items, Sven has the potential to be a strong late-game carry due to his ultimate, which increases his damage, making him hit up to three times as hard, which can then be used in conjunction with his Great Cleave to secure multiple kills with just a few swings of his sword. This immense power granted to him solely by his ultimate makes him one of strongest late-game carries in the game, and arguably the strongest semi-carry of all, as his killing presence remains even if he decides to build more supportive and tanky utility items. A truly frightening enemy to go up against if farmed, strong and versatile, Sven is a solid addition to almost every team composition.

The Frankfurt Major: OG advances, CDEC eliminated
The final game of day four of the Frankfurt Major main event was the showdown between the new European titan OG and the TI5 runner-up CDEC Gaming in the lower bracket elimination match.
Game One
OG started off their draft directly into the infamous Io Tiny combination. Although this duo has not been performing well recently, it has always been OG’s special brew. With the addition of Alchemist, Earthshaker and Undying, OG has secured themselves an explosive mid game. On the other hand, the draft of CDEC Gaming seemed shaky. Although they opted for the Broodmother pick, OG had plenty of answers for this hero. Viper also needed a strong early game in order to have a mid-game presence.
The laning phase did not go as planned for CDEC to say the least. After the initial bounty rune pick up by Alchemist, he was able to sustain himself in the lane early against the Viper. On the top lane, Broodmother suffered severely against the Tiny Io duo. The only thing that seemed to be going well for CDEC was the farm from the Queen of Pain.
As the game approached the mid-game phase, Io and Tiny remained extremely active across the map. Not only were they securing kill for themselves, they were making enormous space for Alchemist. The only good news for CDEC was that Broodmother and Queen of Pain’s farm was keeping up with Alchemist and Tiny. OG’s plan was to have Alchemist purchase the Aghanim’s Scepter for the Tiny buffing his net worth and combat potential by a huge margin. Both teams were content to farm for their key items and 26 minutes in, Tiny had become a monster with 17,000 net worth and Broodmother with 10,000 being second on the chart.
There seemed to be no openings for CDEC to contest anything OG was doing because of their lack of gank capabilities. After accumulating enough farm and the Aegis at minute 33, OG was able to march into the base of CDEC with ease. Although CDEC attempted to contest the push, the strength of the Tiny was soul crushing. OG took game one effortlessly with their signature combination.
Game Two
CDEC’s draft in game two is nothing like what they’ve drafted before with Tusk being the only familiar face in their draft. Agressif has only had one game of Doom in this patch and Alchemist is not your typical Shiki hero. On the side of OG, they were not falling behind in originality as well. Although N0tail’s Meepo has been notorious for a long time, we haven’t seen it picked in a long time.
The laning phase was stale for the playstyles of both teams. The bloodbath did not start until minute 11 when Meepo successfully initiated a team fight in the bottom lane, killing off three heroes with the help of the Fiend’s Grip. Although OG seemed to have pulled ahead in the mid game, CDEC’s lineup has a huge late game potential with Doom and Silencer, and CDEC was content with playing slightly passively and obtaining farm on the Alchemist and Doom. However, OG did not give them the chance to drag the game on. After CDEC expended their Global Silence on the kill of Ember Spirit, OG marched through the mid tier two tower team wiping CDEC and secured the tower as well, severely limiting the vision of CDEC. However, with a bold smoke gank from CDEC at minute 25, they were able to kill off Meepo before the Roshan attempt. But OG was not going to give up Roshan. Without Meepo, Ember Spirit and Slardar were able to snatch the Aegis from the hands of CDEC and team wiping them, CDEC fell behind once again.
After the Roshan encounter, CDEC was unable to pull ahead in fights, losing skirmish after skirmish. The damage coming from Meepo and Ember Spirit with the help of Slardar’s Amplified Damage was too overwhelming for CDEC. Finally at minute 42, OG stormed into the base of CDEC killing off all heroes at sight, and took game two and the series, eliminating CDEC Gaming from the tournament.
Before the Frankfurt Major, OG has always been an enigma for the Chinese teams. Although it was definitely a team on their radar, they had doubts about the strengths of the European squad. But after this series, it is now certain for the Chinese teams that OG is a huge threat for them. Congratulations to OG for advancing.
However this newfound gift infuriated Huskar, for in his rescue from the Nothl, Dazzle had denied him a place among the gods. From Dota 2 Wiki. If the target moves more than units away, the leap stops. From Liquipedia Dota 2 Wiki. The Spoils of Dezun.
