However, they were all wrong. It turned out that just like OG, this team also have a roster of 5 superstars. They have won majors after majors, and if ever they are going to lose, they will never fall below the top 5 and will usually be at top 2 at least – a team proven to be second to none.

Starting 10 AM PT on Monday, August 7, Valve will once again kick off the main event of the biggest esports event of the year — at least with regards to cash at stake. After last week’s group stages, 16 teams will battle it out for approximately $24 million in cash at this week’s International 2017 Dota 2 Championships, or TI7 for short.
Thankfully, there are a lot of ways to watch across a variety of platforms. even if you aren’t here in Seattle to check it out in person.
As with just about any competitive video game now, the easiest way to watch The International is probably Twitch. tv, at twitch. tv/dota2ti. But more importantly for Dota 2 newcomers who are nonetheless interested in checking the tournament out, Valve is bringing back the popular Newcomer stream after a year hiatus, which includes special play by play and explanations tailored to those watching for possibly the first time. You can find the newcomer stream at twitch. tv/dota2ti_newcomer.
However, there are arguably better ways to watch the most financially lucrative esports tournament ever. Valve is once again streaming every game of TI7 within Dota2.com, at http://www. dota2.com/international/live/. In addition to multiple versions and languages for each stream, you can also view each match with accompanying real-time information about the game in question, including hero levels, a real-time mini-map, XP and gold graphs and more.
Meanwhile, if you’ve purchased the International Battle Pass within the Dota 2 client, not only have you contributed money to TI7’s massive prize pool, you’ve also bought a ticket to watch the tournament in game. Watching in-game allows you complete control of your view of the action, while also providing the same professional spectator experience and casting you’d get on Twitch or Dota2.com. Viewers who watch within Dota 2 can also earn prizes for specific events in game, and can also make predictions on various aspects of each match and win battle points and more prizes.

Bloodstone is a niche item, generally only purchased by heroes who require intense mana regeneration, and prefer the bonus raw HP and mana instead of another item with a different active ability and weaker, but comparable regeneration bonuses.
Storm Spirit ‘s ultimate drains mana at a fixed rate based on a percentage of his total mana pool, and every spell he casts gives one attack an AoE splash, making a source of constant mana regeneration key in allowing him to farm and fight constantly.
Leshrac has a powerful AoE ultimate, able to deal out constant magical damage around him, with his only limitation being his mana and his relative fragility.
Timbersaw requires Bloodstone in order to fuel his Chakrams, as they are his only source of a disable in the form of a small slowing aura which can cost up to 30 mana a second to run. Multiplayer online battle arenas (but you can call them MOBAs) continue to dominate gaming. We’re here to help you tell the difference between them.
We actually compared MOBAs before, but things have changed since 2013. A couple of new games have made a large impact, and the two top dogs — League of Legends and Dota 2 — have continued to grow. So, we’ve updated the list with new stats and new games.
First, let’s talk about what makes a MOBA a MOBA. Traditionally, they involve two teams of five players, each controlling a hero with unique abilities, that battle on a map with three lanes, a jungle between the lanes, A. I. minions that march across those lanes, and turrets and other defenses that each team has to destroy. You win by annihilating a giant structure in the middle of the other team’s base.
The genre actually started as a series of mods for Blizzard real-time strategy games Starcraft and Warcraft III, with Defense of the Ancients on the latter being the most popular. You can learn more about the history of MOBAs here.
Now, we’re going to start comparing the four most notable MOBAs. We’ll start with a chart, and then we’ll talk a bit about each game below.
League of Legends

All hail the MOBA king. League of Legends was one of the first standalone MOBAs, and it was able to transform the spirit of the original mods into a free-to-play money-maker. While it has faced plenty of competition, none have knocked it out of the No. 1 spot.
League of Legends got rid of some of the complexities of Defense of the Ancients (the mod for the real-time strategy game Warcraft III that all MOBAs grew out from), notably the capability for players to deny the other team experience and gold by killing their own minions. It also continued to add a steady stream of new heroes, and right now it has a gigantic roster of 126. It has added different maps and modes besides the traditional three-laned MOBA standard, but the original still remains by far the most popular
Dota 2

While League of Legends made some changes from Defense of the Ancients, Dota 2 is a pretty faithful update of the original mod. It features the same mechanics and even most of the same heroes. It’s the most technical of the four, so it’s probably not a great place to start if you have no experience with MOBAs.
While League of Legends experimented with alternative maps and game modes, Dota 2 is strictly about playing on the same field of three lanes between two bases. However, developer Valve has recently allowed the modding community to create custom games using Dota 2’s assets, so we’re going to see all kind of wacky variants now.
Smite

The biggest difference with Smite is its perspective. While most MOBAs have an isometric, top-down view (a carryover from its real-time strategy origins), Smite is a third-person game. This allows for most of the abilities to require aiming, which can make the experience feel more frenzied and dependent on player skill. Also, while most MOBAs have a purely fantasy setting (another carryover from Warcraft III), Smite bases all of its playable characters after gods from different myothologies.
Smite is also one of the few MOBAs to come to consoles, with an Xbox One version currently in beta. Heroes of the Storm

The newest kid on the block, Heroes of the Storm is the most casual MOBA on this list. Unlike the other three, it doesn’t have an in-game shop that requires you to buy and use items during play. It also has teams leveling up together, instead of heroes earning their own experience. This can prevent players, especially poor ones, from becoming quickly outclassed in a match.
Also, each Heroes of the Storm map — while retaining the traditional MOBA objective to destroy the other team’s base — has an additional goal that can help your team. One map has you collecting gold coins to turn into a ghost pirate, who then shoots cannons at the other team’s buildings once you meet its price. Another spawns tokens around the map, and getting three of them curses the other team, weakening their minions and structures. These objectives make team fights break out much earlier than in traditional MOBAs. Heroes of the Storm is also something like Blizzard’s take on Super Smash Bros., in that its roster includes characters from all of its franchises.
Dota 2 versus League of Legends in China: Statistics

These statistics are derived directly from the net cafe reports, and represent more than half of net cafe patrons in China. However, do note that these statistics are limited purely to net cafe patrons, and does not account for gamers from home. It is also important to note that these statistics do not account for unique numbers of players – they are merely records of patrons visiting the net cafes and the time they spent playing specific games there.

Not surprisingly, the statistics show that the League of Legends (英雄联盟) holds a stranglehold on the MOBA market, having a relatively stable player base of 1.4 million on average, until the start of the school term in September, which causes the spikes you can see to occur on weekends. This suggests that a relatively sizable portion of the Chinese League players who visit net cafes are students, which accounts for these spikes.
Comparatively, Dota2 has been stable at an average of 50,000 players daily. It is also important to note that Dota 2 was only released in China in July 2013, which means that the game is in its complete infancy – the statistics do not account for WarCraft III Dota players, since it is impossible to track which maps patrons are playing. It is also important to note that the game only opened to the public (i. e. not requiring access keys) in October 2013, which accounts for the growth towards the later end of the period.

On the other hand, net cafe patrons spent varying amounts of time playing each game. League of Legends players seemed to play an average of about 50 minutes for each visit to the net cafe. Comparatively, Dota 2 exerted a stronger hold on its players, keeping them tied to their screens for an average of 100 minutes each session. The times played per game seem to suggest that users tend to play two matches in total before leaving the premises, whichever the game, since matches in League tend to be shorter on average.
What is really surprising about these statistics is the number of Dota 2 players in China: the WarCraft III map was downloaded over 50 million times from Chinese sources alone, making it one of the most popular games there. An explanation as to why these players have not switched to Dota 2 cannot be given based on the data that we have, but it is worth looking into.

Dota doesn’t really have hard counters. If you’re better than the enemy team it doesn’t really matter what the picks are. That said some heroes/items are useful for shutting down other heroes. Nyx has high burst damage and a nuke that scales off enemy int so he can be useful against OD, Silencer, and Skywrath who all want to stack int to some degree.
^+1, and AM is not really a counter for Death Prophet, SB and Nyx gank can easily be countered by wards, and if you go 1v1 against Death Prophet, it’ll be quite hard.
Dagon 5 and Ethereal Blade is a counter to everyone

So, you can’t actually do a list of hero counters because it depends on many things: items(blade mail, BKB, Dagon, Ghost scepter, orchid, hex, desolator, and so on), role(carry vs support, durable vs support, and other combinations), 1vs1 / 5vs5 fights, hero level, ultimates (if on cd or not/ AOE or not/ Spell damage or Physical damage), melee vs range, attack range/type(slow effect, desolator effect, lifesteal, and so on),game time(Early/Middle/Late game)
An example of counter: Rikimaru vs Antimage Rikimaru is countered by dust, wards, gem -> you can see him, but if he is more farmed then Antimage he will still be able to kill Antimage.
Dunno if thats only me but I always resume when someone pauses after the pick phase cause someone did not manage to pick. That guy is either thinking about what shit to pick to counter us/the enemy team or he is afk while not even a minute ago he accepted a game.
Silencer DOESNT counter Viper (even though he have no spell)
Other than Silencer, what actually counters Invoker? He’s like a jack of.. scratch that, master of all trades.

Most recently, Liquid smashed VG. J in the Starladder Grand Finals. Despite dropping the first game, Liquid won the next three in a row. Interestingly enough, in game 3, MATUMBAMAN went 7/3/3 on Morphling, compared to Aggressif’s much more impressive 14/1/10 Jugg. If anything negative is to be said about Matu, it would be that his hero pool is perhaps not as deep as some of his peers. During the Boston Major regional qualifiers, Kuro and MATUMBAMAN temporarily swapped roles, moving Kuro to Carry, and Matu to Support. TI6 nonwithstanding, MATUMBAMAN has been part of Liquid’s big victories at Epicenter, DreamLeague Season 6, and Starladder as well as their impressive list of second place finishes. At the end of the day, there’s no denying that Matu certainly brings a little pizazz to the scene.

The primordial mind and the birth of the Dota 2 universe
The world of Dota 2 is immersive and expansive, and serves to enrich the Dota experience. In our Dota Lore Spotlight column, we will attempt to shine a light on the lore of Dota 2, and hopefully add further depth to your gameplay. Our first subject of examination is Arc Warden – a fragment of a primordial mind that was present at the very beginning of the universe, and continued to evolve through the eons. Without further ado, here is the story of Zet.
As is the case with most lore, the narrative is inclined to begin where the inception of the universe unfolds. Be it stories of world parent deities, theories of creation from chaos, or something else entirely, video game mythologies strive to present a unique and engaging creation myth, and though it may not be utilized to its full potential within the game itself, the lore of Dota 2 is no different. In order to learn how the Dota universe came to be, and what ignited the grand feud between the Radiant and the Dire, one must look to the primordial mind, a fantastical but cryptic tale of creation that explains the chain of events that led to the conflict of the Nemesis Stones, and serves as the biography of Zet, the Arc Warden.
At first, Dota 2 seems to present us with a deceptively simple concept; two factions, in this case the Radiant and the Dire, meet on a square battlefield with the goal of destroying the opposing factions base and specifically the glowing stone structure that dwells at the base center. It’s a tried and true video game scenario, and it’s easy to mistake it for being somewhat lacking in depth, but the Radiant and Dire are not waging war without reason – and their reasoning dates back to a time before time, where there existed a single enigmatic presence.
Before the universe took shape, there existed a consciousness, vaguely described as a “primordial mind”. Seemingly omnipotent, omnipresent, and infinitely incomprehensible, this presence was all that existed, and it existed beyond human concepts of time, space, and purpose. The being is assumed to have had the power to manipulate reality at will, but there are no records of such powers ever being exercised. Instead, the primordial mind lay dormant for uncounted eons, until one day, the great cosmic silence was broken through means hitherto unexplained, when the universe suddenly exploded into existence and the primordial mind suffered the consequences of the dramatic event. What had once been a singular godly being had been shattered by the sheer force of a universe being born and was torn into several fragmented minds, each one with its own identity and powers. The two greatest fragments of the previously unified primordial mind had taken the separate identities of Radinthul and Diruulth, soon to become known to us as the Radiant and the Dire.
Radinthul and Diruulth had become each others polar opposite, and wielding infinite, yet evenly matched power, one sought to destroy the other by bending reality as it saw fit. This conflict went on seemingly without end, until one day, when a third fragment of the shattered primordial mind revealed itself as Zet, another powerful entity spawned from the calamity that birthed the universe. Zet yearned for unification and harmony, the endless conflict between two fragments of what had once been a single mind proved itself appalling to Zet, and it decided to once again unify his siblings, by force if that was what it would take.
Using its vast cosmic powers, Zet imprisoned its siblings within one celestial body that soon became known as the Mad Moon and flung it into orbit around a lone planet in the now expansive universe where he hoped for the warring entities to drift aimlessly forever, effectively putting an end to their conflict. And, for a time, it worked. Zet served as the warden watching over the imprisoned fragments but since the primordial mind itself had been shattered, neither Zet nor his sibling fragments wielded the once infinite power of the unified entity. For this reason, Radinthul and Diruulth continued their struggle from within the Mad Moon and Zet’s power started steadily waning, until one day, its power had been so severely diminished that it could no longer contain its siblings. The Mad Moon had been deteriorating as Zet grew weary and the decay culminated in the moon violently bursting at the seams, flinging stones infused with the warring consciousnesses down to the planet below, marking the beginning of the Nemesis Stones and their warfare on Earth.
The debris infused with the warring siblings became known as Radiant Ore and Direstone, due to the influence of Radinthul and Diruulth, and with their presence in the stone came their impact on the planet they now found themselves inhibiting. The Radiant favored intelligence and creation, while the Dire retained its role as a polar opposite, and favored strength and destruction. The entities exercised a powerful mind altering effect on living beings, causing creatures on Earth to take the side of whichever stone formation was closest to them. This is how the Dota-conflict began – heroes from all corners of the Earth felt the pull of the Radiant and the Dire, and as the stones continued to dominate their minds. Gatherings of heroes began to champion the nemesis causes of the Radiant and the Dire on the battlefield. The Defence of the Ancients had begun.
Zet, however, had not given up despite being severely drained of its once great power. As this took place, the severely weakened Arc Warden called on a corporeal body and made itself known on the battlefield to join the fray, not championing the Radiant or the Dire, but still fighting to achieve the unity it had known as part of the primordial mind. A shattered entity, Zet wields the power of its lesser fragments in combat, infusing enemies with arcs of volatile electricity, patrolling areas with wraiths of sparks, twisting the space around him to shield himself with magnetic fields, and ultimately calling upon a fractured mirror image of itself to briefly aid it in its battle to destroy both the Radiant and the Dire, so that it may achieve unity once again.

After opening the boxes, we didn’t check if the empty slots were there or not. We only found out about the empty slots after we traded back the items to each person. Unfortunately, only those that were traded back contain empty slots, the ones that remain on the computer when they were opened do not contain empty slots. Does trading these immortals cause them to have empty slots?

Did you check your friend’s inventory for the gems? Sounds to me they took them and traded them back to you. It’s kind of sketchy that you decided to trade your IMMORTAL ITEMS TO A SINGLE SHARED ACCOUNT and what not
