Hey NB, please check out the “Crashes/Crash To Desktop Reports (CTDs)” portion of my guideline thread on how to post a crash dump for your issue. This will help the devs narrow down and fix the issue.

Cant touch this :-j

Cant touch this :-j

In this case the crash dump isn’t providing much information. Could you post all of the console log? That may have more important information.

I took a look at the log and it doesn’t seem to be very helpful. Is there a way to turn on more verbose logging?

Here is the end of the log file:

It seems like this is probably an install issue. Check and see if you have a model_editor. dll in tools bin directory: . \Steam\SteamApps\common\dota 2 beta\game\bin\win64\tools\

The contents of that directory should look like this:
Capture. PNG

If you are missing the model_editor. dll or it is older than your other files in that directory, that would cause this problem. If this is the case try selecting “Verify Integrity of game cache” from the local files tab of the Properties page for Dota 2 in Steam.
Capture2.PNG

When I checked my tools directory it looks the same as your screenshot, and the size of the model_editor dll didn’t seem suspect. I went ahead and deleted it and verified the game cache, resulting in the file being redownloaded. However, the issue still persists. Let me know if there is any other information I can provide.

EDIT: Additionally the date of the dll matched the others. I had just installed both Dota 2 and the Reborn beta to this machine two days ago.

Thanks for trying that. There are a few other files that model editor depends on that the other tools don’t, if you are missing any of these, that could be the problem as well.

Dota 2 Hotkey Optimization Gu >

Dota 2 Hotkey Optimization Guide by ChaQ

After writing my “Advanced solo mid guide” I’ve received a lot of questions about hotkeys. People wanted to know how to choose them, which settings are the best and what hotkeys I use myself. To answer all of them, here’s a short guide to choosing your hotkeys:

As I said previously, I’m a big fan of optimising and making your play more efficient. But how can you be efficient when you keep missclicking spells and items or not hitting hotkeys that are too spread out? Yes, you can’t.

I’ll state this clear: i will NOT tell you what hotkeys you should use, if you feel comfortable with legacy hotkeys where spells have their own hotkeys scattered all over the keyboard, go for it. I WILL tell you though some general rules you could follow, and how I discovered my ideal combination.

To start off, there are 4 most common hotkey settings:

1. QWER
2. ASDF
3. ZXCV
4. Legacy

As you can see you can manually select your favorite hotkey setting from the list in DotA 2 options:

If you’re not a DotA veteran, I strongly suggest using the 1, 2 or 3 combination. Legacy hotkeys are for people that are so used to hotkeys from W3 DotA that it would be simply too hard for them to convert to any of above combinations.

Now, to the more advanced things:
Most of the people set their hotkeys to their hero spells and inventory, and that’s it.

In my opinion, if you want to play better and waste less time, you SHOULD have hotkeys for:

1. Quickbuy – allows you to buy an item that you “shift queued” instantly. Insanely useful when waiting for important items like bottle.
2. Purchase sticky – In your settings you can select one item that can be bought after pressing this hotkey. The most useful one is probably tp scroll.
3. Control groups – at least 3
4. Courier, all courier commands – tick “mirror hero hotkeys” in your settings
5. “Missing” – message to allies, really useful in pubs
6. Binded camera position hotkeys (rune spots)
7. Scoreboard – for constantly checking enemy levels
8. Shop – no further explanation needed
9. Show names/hero icons on minimap (default alt)
10. Commands: stop, hold position, move
11. Glyph

Other general hotkey rules:

  1. Have hotkey for EVERY inventory slot. As you progress in skill as a player you’ll notice that situations where you have 6 active items in your inventory are really common and not having one of them binded proves to be a serious disadvantage.
  2. Avoid using alt or ctrl+hotkey for inventory hotkeys, this makes things really hard when trying to play heroes like tinker effectively.
  3. Start putting items into the same slot every game. That way you’ll never have to look at your inventory before casting a tp scroll or magic wand. For me TP is always at G and wand at E.
  4. Do not put items that require extremely fast reaction on slots that are somehow harder to access and/or require you to change position of your hard before using. Example: blink dagger is way more effective on “Q” than on “Space”.
  5. If you think you have all your hotkeys mastered and there’s nothing you can improve on – turn on “Shop always uses hotkeys” setting on. Memorizing all the shop hotkeys brings your mechanics to a next level, allowing you to do flashy plays like upgrading the courier with 2 button as someone dives to kill it.
  6. Do NOT be afraid of changing your hotkeys to something more efficient. For example I’ve always had my hero on “1″ and courier on “2″. Then, when i decided to play meepo my control groups could only start from “3″. That made me missmicro a lot by accidentally selecting the courier. I decided to change the hotkey to ” ` “, it took me well over 3 weeks of missclicking and never getting my items delivered but when I learned it, it helped my play immensely. Think of it as of performing a somersault. If you fall on the ground first time doing it, it doesnt mean you shouldn’t do this at all. It’s just a matter of practice.

When changing hotkeys you know you’re gonna fail a lot, but what matters is the final result – you playing faster and more effectively.

For those unfamiliar with camera binding, the commands are:

Top Rune – bind “yourkey” “dota_camera_setpos -2273.898682 1232.745483 982.072876″

Bottom Rune – bind “yourkey” “dota_camera_setpos 3035.773438 -2972.680176 966.072937″

This has plagued me for the past two days, giving my main account a 24 hour ban and then an alternate account that I created another 24 hour ban.

I search in queue, it pops, I accept, it appears I will be loading into the game but instead end up at a grey screen that then tells me I have been disconnected.

I caught the entire bug on video and uploaded it to youtube:

after accepting the match, there is about 35 secs for you to connect.

if you take longer than that, then it is neither valve/steam nor dota 2 at fault.

it is you yourself having highly unstable internet connection.

your play dota 2 for so long and still don’t even know that there is a 30 to 35 secs time limit to connect after accepting match.

So my internet is rock solid. I have been playing since 2012. Nothing has changed in terms of malware on my computer or my “internet security” / firewall. After scouring the internet for a fix, this has plague other players. There is a flaw in dota’s code somewhere and it was after the update.

Crossing my fingers that the full uninstall/reinstall will solve the problem.

saying your internet connection is “rock solid” is more of an excuse than a valid reason.

there is no such thing as “perfect” internet connection in this country or that country.

having low ping doesn’t means you have zero lag.

having high ping doesn’t mean you will lag permanently.

So I got it fixed. I will withhold my fix for it and hope that you experience the same issue! Since only trolls came to play.

@absche – Where did you get that I hadn’t updated my system since 2012. What an idiotic conclusion you came to when I stated I have been PLAYING since 2012 with no issues..

@graystripe – Yes you are right – I wanted to have an excuse of a rock solid internet connection, because you must count the 0’s and 1’s coming from your internet to ensure you have a “rock solid” connection. Of course, things like speedtest and pingtests are completely irrelevant when you manually count all the 0’s and 1’s coming in and out of your computer. When I grow up, I want to be just like you – a true keyboard warrior and troll.

If neither one of you wanted to offer any real help, just skip the next post. Such a wonderful community we play in.

The update we just released adds the ‘net_force_steamdatagram’ setting. Try using this:

I still do not understand the underlying network problems you are having with direct UDP connect. All available evidence I have points to some sort of local firewall or router preventing your packets from reaching the server, either based on the port number — meaning there are just certain gameservers that you simply cannot talk to — or a problem that is intermittent. I wish we had a better diagnostic tool you could use to debug this, because whether the problem is on our end and is something we can fix (the evidence I have indicates that this is not the case), or if it’s on your end, the end result is the same: you cannot play the game on that server. Hopefully using the relay network eliminates this problem. Once you confirm that you can talk to a relay (which the client will do when the game boots, when it gathers region ping data), you should be able to talk to basically any gameserver.

Also, note that this workaround might not fix everybody’s problem, because not everybody may be having the exact same problem.

if thats what you used to fix it then this dev post says the problem is not on their end

“All available evidence I have points to some sort of local firewall or router preventing your packets from reaching the server”
-DMZ from Router. Firewall turned off and disabled. Not the problem

“I wish we had a better diagnostic tool you could use to debug this, because whether the problem is on our end and is something we can fix”
-How does this clearly state the problem is on my end? He even admits he wishes he had a better diagnostic tool and states the problem COULD be on his end.

“Hopefully using the relay network eliminates this problem. Once you confirm that you can talk to a relay (which the client will do when the game boots, when it gathers region ping data), you should be able to talk to basically any gameserver.”
-He discusses how their backend works and there is multiple servers at play. One could conclude that it showcases pings from all players and then decides where to place the group.

Thanks for the repost – it doesn’t solidify your statement.

Competitive Dota 2 Hero Tier List – Page 2

You missed my point. I’m not saying Eastern playstyle are superior. Eastern playstyles aren’t superior, but you have to also be fair to them in giving the OVERALL value of Asian play a similar value to Western play. As it stands, you’re weighting Western play 5-6 times more than Chinese play simply due to the fact that there are 5-6 times as many games being played. Raw Dota-Academy stats don’t account for this. They just report the games played, and it’s up to you to normalize for this fact.

You also have to account for the value of tournaments and for the specific point at which a tournament is being played. Weaker teams tend to have weaker drafts. Stronger teams playing weaker teams tend to pick things that are either “standard” or “fun” for the purpose of not revealing valuable information at a point in a tournament when they don’t need to. Playoff-stage games need to be given higher weight than group stages and qualifiers, both because the quality of teams is higher, and because teams are more likely to draft in a way that belies the true strengths of the heroes.

But yes, Juggernaut actually was a higher value hero than being picked/banned 10 times belies because of his value against the Naga strategies en vogue. It’s just that it was deliberately hidden until that fact was of value. If Na’Vi had brashly revealed this during earlier stages of the tournament, it’s very likely he would have been picked/banned more.

From Dreamhack until now, there have been 279 DotA-Academy-tracked games that could be considered “Western”, 43 games that could be considered “Chinese”, and 66 games that could be considered “SEA”. Do you think it’s reasonable to give those Western games more weight because there’s more of them? If we want to be fair and assume that all regions’ playstyles have equal merit, then you would upscale the value of those Chinese games such that they collectively have similar value to the pool of Western games, and likewise with the SEA games.

You also have to account for the value of tournaments and for the specific point at which a tournament is being played. Weaker teams tend to have weaker drafts. Thanks for clarifying your post. I agree that the importance of the games and the stages of the tournament should be taken into account. I will keep that in mind for the future.

Weaker teams tend to have mainstream drafts more often, while stronger teams usually have pocket strategies that they use even in later stages, relying on familiarity and the surprise factor. We’ve seen some of these pocket strategies become mainstream a few weeks later in the next tournaments and that’s the circle of life and it moves us all.

For the sum of the games between regions, I’m not sure if global trending would benefit from introducing equal weighting for each one. Do you think having separate lists for each region would offer a clearer image? Everyone could then compare and weigh them according to their preference.

15 Dota 2 Teams Qualified for the MDL Chengdu Major

The MDL Chengdu Major now has 15 qualified teams. (Image via Mars Media)

The third Dota 2 Pro Circuit season has gotten underway with regional qualifiers for the first Major of the season: the MDL Chengdu Major.

With changes implemented by Valve for this season, the qualifiers for the Major are the first phase of a five-day qualification process. In this phase, 15 teams advance from the pool of 40 across six Dota 2 regions to the Chengdu Major. From each region, four of the unqualified teams are advancing to region-specific double-elimination brackets to compete for a spot at the DOTA Summit 11 Minor. The winner of the Minor will be the 16th team competing in Chengdu.

Beyond the Summit is hosting the regional qualifiers, using the theme of “King’s Cup.” The set is dressed like something out of a fantasy game, with casters wearing bits and pieces of costumes including a wizard’s hat and knight’s armor.

So who qualified? Let’s take a quick peek by region:

China

There were three qualifying teams in China. Mdl dota 2 2015 oglan Vici Gaming and Team Aster took the top spots, beating Royal Never Give Up and EHOME respectively. Team Aster is now playing with Pan “Fade” Yi, formerly of Vici Gaming. Xiong “Pyw” Jiahan replaced Fade on Vici Gaming. Both teams won in 2-1 contests, speaking to the strength of the competition in the region.

.@EHOMECN pulling ahead in this final game. Will they be the final China team to qualify for the MDL Chengdu Major?

EHOME also recently made a roster change. The team took the third qualifier spot in China for the Major.

Notably, PSG. LGD is taking a break during this opening round of the DPC.

Perhaps the biggest shocker in the first set of qualifiers was Virtus. pro failing to qualify. The organization was a dominant force in the first two seasons of the DPC. Of course, Virtus. pro has undergone some significant roster upheaval and is currently playing with a pair of trial players. They’ll have a chance to compete for a spot at the Summit Minor.

In the meantime, representing the CIS region will be Gambit Esports and Positive Guys. Gambit Esports was an organization that came up just shy of qualifying for The International 2019. They’ve rebuilt a roster around captain Artiom “fng” Barshack, bringing in Kiyalbek “dream” Tayirov, Danil “gpk” Skutin, Maxim “Shachlo” Abramovskikh and Danial “XSvamp1Re” Alibaev. Of the four, Shachlo is a staple of the CIS Dota 2 scene, but the other three are relative newcomers, finding their first professional teams in the last year or so.

Positive Guys is another new stack, but this time a mix of CIS veterans and newcomers. It includes Igor “iLTW” Filatov, Egor “Ergon” Kozlov, Andrey “Ghostik” Kadyk, Alexander “Immersion” Hmelevskoy and Mihail “Misha” Agatov. Ergon and Immersion have played for 12-18 months each on professional teams, but the others have been around for four or more years with middling success.

Europe

It’s @theAllianceGG reigning supreme and taking the first EU place for the MDL Chengdu Major

Europe was the last region to finish its qualifier. The nods went to the new Alliance roster and the new Team Liquid (formerly Alliance). Both organizations are bound to be pleased with this result.

Several organizations are taking a break in Europe for the first round of DPC events, including OG, the former Team Liquid roster and Team Secret. This pair of events will be a great opportunity for other Dota 2 teams in the region to get some experience and circuit points for potential The International 2020 qualification.

North America

North America, like China, had three qualifying teams. Evil Geniuses beat out Quincy Crew (with Sumail “SumaiL” Hassan, formerly of EG) in a 2-1 battle. Fighting Pepegas (the Jacky “EternalEnvy” Mao stack) beat J. Storm to claim their own ticket, and then J. Storm beat Quincy Crew 2-0 to score the final invite.

It says something that of the eight teams competing in the region, only three had serious organizations and one of them was Team Xolotl. With no Complexity Gaming, Forward Gaming, Chaos Esports Club, Immortals nor beastcoast (who has hopped to the South American region after dabbling in NA at the end of last season), the region is experiencing a drought of reputable organizations to field Dota 2 teams.

South America

By comparison to North America, South America’s stacked full of organizations. How long they can retain rosters is yet to be seen, of course.

The first SA team to make it to the MDL Chengdu Major is @beastcoast!

This was the final region to finish the Major qualifiers. Beastcoast took the top spot, with the former Team Anvorgesa stack (here’s hoping they don’t mind forever being referred to as the cat burgers).

The second spot went to Team Unknown, fielding a new roster as of September 12. It includes Bernando “Berna” Rocca, Juan “Atun” Ochoa, Alexis “Greedy” Ventura, Nicolás “Wij” Moreno and Sergio “Prada” Toribio as the captain. The last time Team Unknown competed at this level was the 2015 Frankfurt Major, where they finished in 9-12th place. Both Prada and Atun were on the Thunder Predator squad that competed at the Chongqing Major in the second DPC season, while Greedy was on the roster that competed in Frankfurt.

Southeast Asia

Last, but by no means least, is Southeast Asia. Mdl dota 2 2015 oglan Three teams qualified from this region, giving us Fnatic, TNC Predator and relative newcomer Team Adroit. The latter is an organization from the Philippines that formed in May 2019. Qualifying for the Chengdu Major is by far their most exciting result so far. Perhaps some of the staple organizations in SEA should be worried?

Mineski was absent from these qualifiers. They aren’t currently fielding a Dota 2 team, which is unusual.

Next Phase

The next two days will see the DOTA Summit 11 Minor qualifiers play out. Each region will have one attending team, with Europe and CIS having two each. The Minor itself will take place from November 7-10. The MDL Chengdu Major will follow it, on November 16-24. You can catch the remaining qualifier action on Twitch across Beyond the Summit’s various channels.

‘Dota 2’ The International 2017 News: Elon Musk’s OpenAI Startup Invents Bot That Defeated Best eSports Players

A gaming bot has gotten so much better that even one of the world’s best “Dota 2” players was unable to defeat it.

One of the surprises in the recently concluded The International event that was held last week was the introduction of a gaming bot operated by artificial intelligence technology. This came courtesy of Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s startup, OpenAI company.

In a special event on Aug. 11 during The International 2017, OpenAI showcased the ability of their gaming bot by matching it against several of the top “Dota 2” players in the world. The gaming bot consistently won against Danylo Ishutin, aka Dendi, in a live 1v1 game.

Dendi was defeated by the OpenAI bot twice. The professional “Dota 2” player then decided not to proceed with the next games.

Prior to that, OpenAI also said in a statement that their “Dota 2” gaming bot had emerged successful against other players made up of renowned professional eSports gamers, such as Syed Sumail Hassan, aka SumaiL, and Artour Babaev, aka Arteezy.

“Dota 1v1 is a complex game with hidden information. Agents must learn to plan, attack, trick, and deceive their opponents. The correlation between player skill and actions-per-minute is not strong, and in fact, our AI’s actions-per-minute are comparable to that of an average human player,” OpenAI added.

The highly human-like skills of the bot was also affirmed by Dendi, who stated in a post-match interview that the AI’s skills “feels a little like [a] human, but a little like something else.”

“Dota 2” is one of the largest free-to-play multiplayer online battle arena video games in the market. It features more than 100 heroes, each with unique abilities that players should understand in order to maximize their potential and progress in the game.

Since “Dota 2” is commonly played by humans against other playing humans, game situations constantly change. Outsmarting an opponent and predicting their next move will take years of first-hand experience in playing the game to master.

OpenAI pointed out: “Success in Dota requires players to develop intuitions about their opponents and plan accordingly.”

The startup company also revealed that they have more plans to enhance their “Dota 2” bots. “Our next step is to create a team of Dota 2 bots which can compete and collaborate with the top human teams,” OpenAI added.

Hotkeys

The hotkeys settings can be accessed by clicking on the little gear icon in the most top left corner in the main menu. Here, the player can customize many hotkeys, or select one of the many pre-set hotkey templates. Almost every key on the keyboard can be bound to something, with a very few exceptions. The exceptions usually have a set purpose in the game and thus are un-rebindable.

Contents

Unbindable keys [ edit ]

Several hotkeys have a set purpose, which cannot be changed. This results in them mostly being un-rebindable.

  • The following keys are completely unbindable: ESC, SHIFT (left and right), CTRL (left and right), MOUSE 1, MOUSE 2
  • The ALT key can only bound together with other keys, as a combo key. The ALTGR key is treated as the same key.
    • Although the ALT modifier can be bound to another key, ALT is still unbindable. When the modifier gets rebound, ALT has no use.
  • The WINDOWS KEY (left and right) (or COMMAND KEY on Apple keyboards) are unbindable, but they can be turned bindable in the advanced hotkey settings. These keys keep their default function, which is opening the start menu on the desktop. This is true even when the keys get bound ingame.
  • The PRINT KEY is fully bindable, but it also keeps its default function, which is to take screenshots.
  • The following keys are bindable on their own, but cannot be combined with ALT: PRINT KEY, TAB
  • All other standard keys are bindable.

Basic hotkeys [ edit ]

Basic hotkeys are active while playing a match. The player can change the hotkeys at any time, even during a match. There are hotkeys for abilities, items, unit actions, shop actions, chat, interface and control groups. In the advanced hotkeys, there are additional settings for unit actions, shop actions, interface and control groups, and the hotkeys for camera actions, saved camera positions and some hotkey setting options.

Hotkey templates [ edit ]

By default, the game uses the “Arrow (Default)” hotkey layout. The player can choose from a variety of pre-set hotkey templates, which can be found by clicking on “Reset hotkeys. ” at the bottom left of the settings menu. Available templates are:

Template Description
Arrow (Default) Dota 2 default hotkeys.
WASD Dota 2 default hotkeys, adapted for using W, A, S and D for camera movement.
Legacy Keys Dota 1 style hotkeys; with different ability hotkeys for every hero and unit. 1
MMO Key bindings similar to various Massively Multiplayer Online games.
League of Legends Key bindings similar to League of Legends.
Heroes of Newerth Key bindings similar to Heroes of Newerth.
Smite Key bindings similar to Smite.

1 Legacy keys can also be enabled by ticking the corresponding option in the Advanced Hotkeys settings, rather than starting over with this template.

Activating a template unbinds all hotkeys used in it from their existing actions. Hotkeys can still be changed freely after selecting a template, except Legacy Keys’ item hotkeys.

Abilities [ edit ]

There are 6 ability slots which can be used. If one slot is empty and contains no ability, it is not visible in-game, and all abilities coming after it are moved together. For example, if a unit has an ability in slot 1 and 3, but no ability in slot 2, then the 2nd slot is not visible and the 3rd ability is moved next to the 1st ability, so that there is no gap. However, the slots are still bound according to the settings. Despite the 3rd slot being moved to remove the gap, its hotkey is still equal to whatever is set for the 3rd slot in the ability hotkey settings.

Heroes usually have 3 abilities in their first 3 slots, and their ultimate always in the 6 slot. This causes the ultimate spell to always use whatever hotkey is set for the 6th slot, despite the ultimate visually appearing in the 4th slot. This is why the hotkey of the 4th ability on non-hero units is not equal to the hotkey of ultimate abilities. The non-hero unit has 4 abilities in its 4 slots and has the 5th and 6th slot empty, so they are not displayed. If its 4th ability would be moved to the 6th slot, it would make visually no difference, but change its hotkey to what is set in the 6th slot.

By default, the ability hotkeys apply to every unit the player controls. It is possible though, to bind different hotkeys to heroes, couriers and other units by turning “Unit Specific Hotkeys” on. It is also possible to bind unique hotkeys for each hero, however, this is not possible for other units. Clicking on “Clear” after having given non-hero units, couriers or an individual hero unique settings, sets the hotkeys back to what the player set as default.

The player can choose between regular cast (select spell and then select target) and quickcast (select spell and automatically cast it where the cursor is). Autocast is by default ALT+ability hotkey. It is possible to choose between regular and quickcast for couriers, non-heroes and for each hero, just like how unique bindings are possible. If the player wishes to use regular and quickcast, or wants to use different autocast hotkeys, the “Enable Advanced Quickcast/Autocast Hotkeys” setting can be turned on, which allows setting different hotkeys for regular, quick – and autocast for each slot. This also works together with unit specific hotkeys. However, advanced quickcast/autocast hotkeys is not compatible with legacy hotkeys. Here, the player can only decide between regular and quickcast, and autocast is always ALT+hotkey.

based on your system name “WINDOWS8SUCKS” you reinstalled to unsupported OS.

What are you talking about? I never said I was running Windows Vista. Dota 2 epic fail 11357 This laptop comes pre-installed with Windows 8.1, which is what is on it presently.

Also, you must have missed the part where EVERY OTHER GAME I play has no problem. It’s ONLY Dota 2 that has this problem.

Are you getting these crashes since the last updates?

yea its weird its says you have Vista in the dump files but the version number is Win8. I would still memtest the Rams though

The system is brand new, and my friend with a desktop and a GTX670 has the exact same problem. There is NO hardware issue here. This is 100% a Valve programming failure.

The last update RUINED the game for me. To be clear, I previously had an HP Envy 17 with a GT750M video card. This laptop never had any problems with Dota2. The very next game after the update, the game nonstop lags to 20FPS no matter how low of a resolution I use or with every possible graphic option set to lowest or disabled. It just so happens that I was pissed off enough to go out and buy a new laptop, so I bought the G751 with the GTX970M. Dota 2 crashes all day every day on my new nearly top of the line laptop. The most recent update introduced all sorts of glitches and failures, but Dota2 crashing nonstop is a common problem that people have been having for a while. Frankly, I am just about to sell all my items on the store, dump this badass game with RETARD developers and play something else. It’s a shame too, Dota2 had the greatest gameplay but the company’s QA department should all be fired. Not only do they keep releasing patches that make the game worse, but they don’t even care enough to look at the posts on their own web site to see what kind of feedback end users are providing.

Top 10 most expensive Dota items on the market – September 2018

The top 10 most expensive Dota 2 items available on the Steam market. I explored the market to find out the skins sold fairly at a high price during September 2018.

In the market there are thousands of items sold at an inaccurate cost, often in an attempt to scam the buyers. To give credibility to this list, I included only the items that have been already traded in the past and the recent average price range.

Unusual Golden Baby Roshan

Item currently not available. From the April 2018 list.

Average price: $1,800

Last sold on January 31 for $1,800

An immortal courier awarded to players that made it in the Sugar Rush Hall of Fame during Diretide 2012.

It utilizes the same model of the standard Baby Roshan courier – listed for $2-3 – but has golden textures and effects.

In the game, there are Baby Roshans available with different effects, and they are all very expensive: Platinum, Ice, Lava, Dark Moon, Desert Sand, and Jade.

Legacy Enduring War Dog

Average price: around $1,000 – very variable cost depending on the effect

Last sold on August 6 for $806

A Mythical courier, originally released on May 31, 2012. Legacy couriers are old but expensive couriers which were given an unique random color and a Prismatic: Legacy gem.

Platinum Baby Roshan

Average price: $1,700

Last sold on September 10 for $1,725

An immortal courier awarded to players that made it in the Sugar Rush Hall of Fame during Diretide 2013.

It utilizes the same model of the standard Baby Roshan courier – listed for $2-3 – but has platinum textures and effects.

The color of the textures isn’t the only distinction among the various Baby Roshans, but also the gems are different.

For example, the Golden Roshan has Ethereal: Touch of Midas and Prismatic: Midas Gold, the Platinum one has Ethereal: Ionic Vapor and Prismatic: Pristine Platinum. They create custom effects and change the color of the particles.

Genuine Axe of Phractos

Average price: $1,500

Last sold on August 10 for $1,380

A mythical weapon for Axe obtained in genuine quality by buying the Axe figurine from the WETA workshop. It is no longer available.

Later on, Valve included this item in the Trust of the Benefactor 2016 treasure as an ultra rare drop. Three copies of the treasure were given to all players with The International 2017 Battle Pass. Only 25 copies of this item could be unboxed worldwide.

Genuine Monarch Bow

Average price: $1,500-1700

Last sold on September 14 for $1,574

A mythical weapon for Drow Ranger acquired in genuine quality by purchasing the Butterfly Sword from the WETA workshop. It is no longer available.

Also the Monarch Bow was included in the Trust of the Benefactor 2016 as an ultra rare drop.

Rarities of the Benefactor 2017

Item currently not available. From the May 2018 list.

Average price: $1,150

Last sold on November 22 for $1,200

A legendary item gained as an ultra rare drop from Trust of the Benefactor 2017, which is an immortal chest obtained via leveling The International 2017 Battle Pass.

The first treasure was given at level 83, the second at 245, and afterwards an extra one every 50 Battle Pass levels.

Rarities of the Benefactor contained precious skins, and only a determinate amount of each one could be unboxed worldwide:

Very rare: 100 each

Extremely rare: 50 each

Ultra rare: 25 each

Prismatic: M >Item currently not available. From the August 2018 list.

Average price: $900-1,200

Last sold on April 26 for $1,262

A mythical gem that changes the color of unusual particle effects on custom couriers with an Ethereal Gem.

It also alters the following items:

Terrorblade’s Fractal Horns of Inner Abysm

Techies’ Swine of the Sunken Galley

Witch Doctor’s Padda’pon of Ribbi’tar.

Genuine Tsukumo the Moon Cloud

Average price: $800-1,000

Last sold on September 18 for $825

A mythical mount for Mirana that comes in genuine quality by buying the Mirana Princess of the Moon Collectible Statue by Artgerm and Mark Newman.

The sculpture originally was sold for $400 on the WeLoveFine shop, but is no longer available.

The original mount was a tiger, but before the release Valve transformed it in a moon rabbit. Later on, they introduced also the tiger as a second style following the community feedback.

Rarities of the Benefactor 2018

Item currently not available. From the August 2018 list.

Average price: $900-1,100

Last sold on August 16 for $1,210

A legendary item gained as an ultra rare drop from Trust of the Benefactor 2018, which is an immortal chest obtained via leveling The International 2018 Battle Pass.

The first treasure was given at level 83, the second at 245, and afterwards an extra one every 50 Battle Pass levels.

It contains the same skins of the Rarities of the Benefactor 2017, and with the same rarity and number of drops worldwide. The Golden Wings of the Manticore for Skywrath Mage is the only new addition.

Legacy Morok’s Mechanical Mediary

Average price: $800-900

Last sold on April 11 for $937

Note: there are multiple variants of this mythical courier and they are all cheap. Only the legacy version is valuable.

After the top 10

There are many more amazing and expensive items. I have featured them during the previous months, but they fell from the top 10 due to the fluctuations of the Steam Market. Let’s check them out!

In no particular order.

Legacy Stumpy – Nature’s Attendant

Average price: $650-700

Last sold on December 8 for $922

The courier was removed from the Store on June 7, 2013 and its rarity was changed to immortal. Legacy couriers are old but expensive couriers which were given an unique random color and a Prismatic: Legacy gem.

Dragonclaw Hook

Average price: $800-850

Last sold on September 18 for $826

An immortal weapon for Pudge, formerly of mythical rarity. It is one of the oldest rare items, and was released in the Sithil’s Summer Stash on July 12, 2012. Valve accidentally re-added it to the drop list in February 2013, but removed it soon after.

Also this item was added to the Trust of the Benefactor 2016 as a rare drop. Only 200 copies were available worldwide.

Its price increased recently, perhaps due to the announcement of the upcoming Pudge’s Arcana. Bracer dota 2 item price

Note: there are multiple variants of this immortal item (standard, inscribed, corrupted, and autographed) and they all cost pretty much the same.
