Juggernaut Omnislash

I used my Double Damage rune whilst using my omnislash.

AFAIK, omnislash should not remove or prevent buffs being applied

Result – I gained the Double Damage buff but it is not applied. It is displayed in the screen however

Expected Result – I keep and apply the Double Damage buff.

I think you are right. Someone else confirm?

Confirmed, somehow if you use DD just as Omnislash ends (used shift-queue), the DD gets purged. It doesn’t happen with haste (or at least, it didn’t happen to me).

Maybe it’s because you can activate items during the “invulnerable” period, and somehow DD isn’t applied because of that. If you use DD first you don’t lose it (I think, I haven’t tried right now, but I’ve played a few juggernaut mid games, and dd->omnislash is quite common). But truth is, you SHOULD be able to activate items during omnislash, and I don’t think it prevents DD application at all in DotA1. I can test if needed, though.

Also, if you want to farm jungle like you did, it’s nice to wait and stack a camp before Bladefury-ing it if you’re around 0:45.

in dota 1, activating dd before omnislash works fine.

activating it during omnislash does not apply the double damage to jugger. and in dota 1 omnislash ends any shift queuing (caused by the orders given by the trigger of omnislash).

If you check the replay, I kill storm in the river with a DD rune that I got earlier and I keep the buff after it ends. (It’s as I hit level 4-5 or so)

I’ve activated other items (Such as Mask of Madness) to make sure I get the buff when I need it but I should have activated DD before the omnislash but I was in danger of dying there so I figured the omnislash was safer first.

Regardless I’m getting offtrack and the main issue here is that I didn’t get the buff.

Omnislash
Level 1: 3 (6*) slashes dealing 175-250 damage per attack
Level 2: 6 (9*) slashes dealing 175-250 damage per attack
Level 3: 9 (12*) slashes dealing 175-250 damage per attack [*Aghanim]

Note:
“With enough attack speed, Yurnero can attack with his own attack strength while jumping around, in these attacks Yurnero can place buffs and trigger chance effects.”

This means. You can place Skadi-effect, Desolator-effect with normal attacks (attacks between the slashes. Happens if you got lots of attackspeed.)
You can also trigger effects such as maelstorm/mjollnir but also basher.

The slash damage is firm (between 175-250). It cannot be improved by DD rune. The normal attacks (between slashes) however can be improved by DD.

Cannot view the replay. Did you loose the DD rune effect after omnislash ended? Then it’s a different issue.

Pros and Cons

Good jungler
Best lifesteal ability in game
Good 1v1
Hard to kill mid-late game(very tanky and has “free bkb”)
Great carry
Easy to farm with
Not so item dependent

Cons
Low attack speed
Small mana pool
normally easily countered by bane.

– enemy has high hp str carry like alch, sven, sk, balanar, etc
– your team need a versatile tank

Start Itens

You will need this for the last hitting process since you’ll be harrassed.
Often i just w8 few seconds after the begging and buy a queling blade at side shop, because it helps a lot, but this is optional.

If you think you wont be so much harassed, another start build option is Gaunlets + tango + Healing salve + 3iron branches. You will get a nice stats boost (more life, dmg and mana) and also gaunlets can be used to build drums after.

Midas is great item especially before 5,6 min but 7,8 min is still ok. It grants you IAS and will help you farm and lvl up more.

Orb of Venom: its a great item on naix especially if you want to go agressive and try some kills early. The slow synergizes well with your skill and the extra damage over time is nice too.

Phase Boots: I used to buy power treads for naix, but then I realized that phase boots is a lot better. With treads you have more AS, but quite often, enemy heros managed to escape with red hp wich frustrated me a lot. So i tried buying phase boots, and the result was amazing: nobody can escape open woounds + phase boots! Also, the +24 dmg make a huge diference in early game last hitting. So i really recomend you to buy phase over treads, at least give it a try! (note: now that open wounds has limited range, phase boots is a MUST for naix)

Armlet of mordiggan is a MUST. For strenght hero, is one of the best dota benefit/cost item.
It will give you AS, armor, dmg and hp regeneration.
Your lifesteal skills will counter the side-effect of -40hp/sec. And if you need a fast heal just ult in a creep.

Orchid Malevolence is an awesome item on naix. Lots of pro players builds this for lifestealer for these reasons:

1) it gives a REALLY NEEDED mana pool (25*19=475 mana) and regen (150%) so you will be able to cast all your spells everytime you need them.
2) It gives you 30 attack speed, that synergizes with your passive.
3) It gives you 30 damage.
4) It amplifies 25% on the target!!
5) AND its silence is a pretty nice disable. It is ALWAYS good to silence enemys: Imagine yourself against a hero with escape skill like, magina, qop, gondar, etc. You silence them, they will panic they cant run! or imagine silencing a nuker, he will be useless against your 6 sec rage + 5 sec silence! Also in teamfights, silencing key heros can be game breaker.

Skull basher because of its bash wich synergizes with the IAS of rage. and It will be devasting especially after your Hyperstone!

Note:Drums is a great item. A must in competitive games. But in pubs you can skip it.

Core extension/Situationals

For core extension, you may consider assault cuirass or mjolnir. because the IAS synergizes with your passive skill.

I almost always go for AC, because it gives you a HUGE armor, making you even more tanky. and the -5 armor aura is rly nice and amplifies even more the extra dmg from your passive and malevolence!

I only go for mjolnir if someone is already doing AC. since it dont stack.

Abyssal is really a good option too especially to shutdown another enemy hard carry holding a bkb and because you already have skull basher (saving slots!). Also in that same “counter enemy scenario” you can think in buying Heavens Halberd or Blade mail.

Tarrasque is always a great choice for str heros.

I go daedelus when my oponents dont have high hp.

Think of bkb if the other team has a lot of disables and rage isnt enough.

MKB when i need to counter evasion.

With naix, I prefer going AC rather than Desolator, but its still a good choice.

General Gameplay

Naix is a great farmer. Last hitting with him is very easy.
Lane is a lot better then jungle because you can set up some kills early on, because you rage and open wounds.

Try to finish your phase boots and armlet at 15min max and after that you must profit from his excellent mid game presence.

Always carry tp scroll with you in case a teamfight happens (especially if you already have armlet). Dont hesitate to tp to another lane who has enemy creeps for free farm.

Skills Comments

Rage
“Your free Black King Bar, furnished with a temporary Hyper-Hyperstone ! Because you have an ultra-low casting animation, you can press on Rage’s hotkey at the last moment in order to avoid that projectile spell.

This skill, combined with Feast and the right items, allows you to deal effectively with heavy tanks, carries and support heroes, as I’ll elaborate later.”

Mineski dota 2 midland

Mineski dota 2 midland

Mineski dota 2 midland

Mineski dota 2 midland

Mineski are the first team to emerge victors in The International 2019 regional qualifiers after taking down 3-2 Team Jinesbrus in an intense SEA grand final.

Coming to SEA qualifiers from open brackets with a Phoenix drawing as logo, Team Jinesbrus had one of the most interesting stories of all teams fighting for the 1 ticket in the SEA region. The team had Nico “Gunnar” Lopez in the mid lane, the former Mineski support Kim “Febby” Yong-min and another two South Korean players, just very recently departed from J. Storm, Lee “Forev” Sang-don and Park “March” Tae-won, respectively. Despite the big names on the team, one of the most pleasant surprises was their 17-year-old carry Nuengnara “23savage” Teeramahanon whose Morphling, Slark, Anti-Mage, Naga Siren or Wraith King plays made Team Jinesbrus look extremely scary for all other competitors. The stack was formed a few weeks ahead of the open qualifiers and managed to reach the closed regional qualifiers grand finals. They finished first in the group stage with an overall score of 61, but Mineski seemed to be the only team able to stop them.

Mineski, who also swapped two players just two days ahead of the TI qualifiers roster lock, pushed Jinesbrus in the lower bracket playoffs right from the first series, but had to fight them once again today, in the qualifiers grand finals.

As expected, Morphling was first ban priority for Mineski for the entire series. But even so, Jinesbrus started the grand finals with a victory in game one and were extremely close to taking it all in game four. The series score was 2-1 in Jinesbrus favor when what could have been the winning match for them, Jinesbrus played a bit too aggressive and tried to force a win by going for tier four towers and the Ancient when Mineski’s carry was down for 50 seconds without a buyback. Unfortunately for Jinesbrus, Mineski were able to stop the push although they were outnumbered and following the successful defense, they went for a third Roshan kill that gave them an Aghanim’s Scepter buff on Wraith King to force the series to a game five. The final match of the SEA qualifiers featured Gunnar’s signature Ember Spirit and a few good answers to Mineski’s draft. At the end of the game, the kills score was dead even, but Jinesbrus’ Ancient was the one that fell down as Mineski had two heroes extremely powerful in the team fights and in high ground assault, Death Prophet and Shadow Shaman.

What a feeling! Thankyou to everyone who supported us this year, it means everything to us.

With their victory, Mineski can now start sorting out their visas and pack for The International 2019 where they will join TNC Predator and Fnatic as SEA representatives.

TI9 qualifiers are far from being over. CIS region will determine its winner team later today, South America as well while the closed regional qualifiers in North America, China and Europe will start with the group stage matches only tomorrow, July 11. Borderless Window / Vsync

I have asus rog gl752vl laptop with i7 6700hq processor 16gb ram and 4gb gtx965m (2nd gen)

Whenever i try to play dota 2 in borderless window mode i have screen tearing and in game stuttering regardless of turning vsync on or off in game options.

I don’t have screen tearing in exclusive full screen mode though with vsync on but usually when i play in full screen mode game freezes here and there.

Why this might happen and which one is better to go ? – nod3d9ex borderless or – dx11 full screen ?

Thanks in advance for help and answers

Last edited by Crasher76; 05-05-2017 at 03:01 AM .

You did not specify your OS. That’s relevant, as Windows 7 needs Aero on to have tearless borderless window working, and Windows 8/8.1/10 should not tear by default, but maybe your OS configuration is screwed or Nvidia general profile (must Use the 3d application settings for Vertical Sync).

Another thing – you need to run your internal / external display under native resolution and frequency. Probably best to run under single display configuration, and setting scaling to Display:

With that hardware, – dx11 is the way to go, but if you get freezes under exclusive fullscreen, maybe you should lower some settings. In any case, it’s not a game issue, borderless window = desktop vsync is broken for you on the OS / driver level.

Thank you very much for your time and answer.

I am on windows 10 creators update.

I will also try enabling vsync from nvidia control panel 3d application settings and see how it goes. Where can i set scaling to display ? Is it also in nvidia control panel ?

I’ve read your troubleshooting crashes guide and updated integrated intel graphic drivers. I did it manually because automatic update wouldnt work and it just gave error messsage “driveris not approved by manufacturer”

I didnt care the message and did the update manually with have disk option. I also disabled gaming mode in windows 10.

Havent tried it yet in borderless but for full screen result is so good so far.

I have console commands – nod3d9ex – dx11 – console – nogammaramp at the moment. Do I need all or just – dx11 is enough ?

After doing this everything is working butter smooth full screen everything maxed out. No freezes no crashes

About the monitor do you mean i should run it at 59hz if its native res is 60hz ?

Last edited by Crasher76; 05-05-2017 at 05:28 PM .

There is literally a picture with nvidia scaling options on my previous post.
Try not to mess with res & hz manually, let os / driver autodetect it.

-nod3d9ex should not be used together with exclusive fullscreen video mode.
I specifically advise against it in the guide, because crashes/not being able to return from alt-tab are very likely.
And for your hardware is not even needed, just stick with – dx11 ( – console – nogamaramp do not matter if present or not).

I think something wrong with the picture in your previous post as it can not be seen

Binding rune check after patch

So, after today’s patch, my bind command for checking runes is not working anymore.
Any clue for whats happening?

I’m using these lines on the autoexec:

bind “F3” “dota_camera_setpos -2273.898682 1232.745483 982.072876” // Top Rune
bind “F4” “dota_camera_setpos 3035.773438 -2972.680176 966.072937” // Bot Rune

It was working just before the patch, and now nothing.

next patch: remove spell hotkey
you would play DOTA by mouse click only

English is not my native language as you know, BUT you can still easily understand what I mean correctly because English is your native language.
So If someone have no word to refute what I said, he may just attack my grammar or vocabulary. to shift the focus.

Is this another range_finder thing, or is it unintentional?

Because if it’s an issue of unfair advantage to players not using it, I’d say throw it in the game options, don’t take it out of the game entirely.

dota_camera_setpos -2157.322754 1828.030762 // Top
dota_camera_setpos 3206.690674 -2304.697266 // Bot

I used a key binding that just showed the rune spot as long as I pressed the key and jumped back when I released the key. This doesn’t work anymore, camera gets stuck in the rune position when I release the key. Anyone knows how to fix this? Binding code below.

——-
bind “MOUSE5” “+show_runetop” // Jump camera to top rune and back to hero
bind “MOUSE4” “+show_runebottom” // Jump camera to bottom rune and back to hero

// Jump camera to rune positions while pressing the keys and back to hero on release
alias “+show_runetop” “dota_camera_setpos -2273.898682 1732.745483”
alias “-show_runetop” “+dota_camera_follow;+dota_camera_follow;-dota_camera_follow”

alias “+show_runebottom” “dota_camera_setpos 3035.773438 -2472.680176”
alias “-show_runebottom” “+dota_camera_follow;+dota_camera_follow;-dota_camera_follow”

just figured it out, with the following code it works like before:

bind “MOUSE5” “+show_runetop” // Jump camera to top rune and back to hero

All-Stars 2016: Final Match Recap

After Uzi secured the title of the All-Star 2016 1v1 Champion and the win for Team Ice, Fire and Ice were set to meet for one last best-of-three to close out the tournament.

After Jian “Uzi” Zi-Hao secured the title of the All-Star 2016 1v1 champion and the win for Team Ice, Fire and Ice were set to meet for one last best-of-three series to close out the tournament. Here is how the final set went down.

Game One

ICE FIRE

TOP: Ziv – Illaoi Smeb – Sion
JNG: Jankos – Nocturne Levi – Riven
M > We1less – Lux Optimus – Kog’Maw
ADC: Bebe – Ezreal Doublelift – Vayne
SUP: Mithy – Bard Madlife – Blitzcrank

BANS: Syndra/Ryze/Lee Sin Le Blanc/Twitch/Rengar

Despite the fact that Team Ice had already secured the All-Stars 2016 title, it was apparent that both teams still wanted to give it their all. Even with questionable picks, both teams made immense efforts to make everything work.

As Đỗ “Levi” Duy Khánh hit level three, he went top to get an easy first blood for Fire. Not long after this kill, the map exploded with kills being traded all around the map. Despite language barriers, both teams looked very well coordinated. There were many combos that were pulled off that resulted in amazing kills on both ends.

Through all the explosive picks, Team Fire pulled a strong lead of 5k gold. With their lead, they were able to push their CC pressure onto Ice and took immediate map control. To the surprise of the casters, Levi on jungle Riven was legendary at the 16 minute mark and was a driving force behind Fire’s dominance.

As the game progressed, it turned more and more into a messy bloodbath. Players were taking crazy fights on purpose, which resulted in a hilarious viewing experience. Through all of this, Team Fire grew their lead even more. Every random fight slightly grew Fire’s lead, but it was apparent Ice was not going to go down without a fight.

On the back of Wei “We1less” Zhen, Ice started to mount a comeback. The carries of Fire couldn’t step one inch out of place or they faced the risk of being one shot by Lux. Time and time again, We1less managed to snipe a member or two of Fire before a big fight, which forced Fire to slow their advances.

Unfortunately for Ice, Fire baited a Baron and managed to kill most of Ice. After one final push, Yiliang “Doublelift” Peng got a quadra kill off the back of his team’s immense amount of CC. This sealed the fate of Ice for game one, as Team Fire took the first game of this series.

Fire 1 – 0 Ice

Game Two

FIRE ICE

TOP: QTV – Lee Sin Mouse – Kled
JNG: Bengi – Ivern Karsa – Kha’Zix
M > Bjergsen – Heimerdinger Maple – Katarina
ADC: PraY – Draven Rekkles – Kalista
SUP: Aphromoo – Bard Mata – Syndra

BANS: Garen/Galio/Gangplank Illaoi/Caitlyn/Elise

To the surprise of everyone, Ivern was locked in, and it did not disappoint, at least in the early game. Bae “ Bengi ” Seong-woong invaded for a quick level two and secured first blood for Fire. Similar to last game, the first blood was a spark that ignited a fire around to map, as multiple kills were traded. The one flaw in Team Fire’s plan was not realizing that Ice was more than ready for the cheese.

Despite Fire’s amazing start, Ice took full momentum in their favor as they caught multiple members of Fire out. Unfortunately for Fire, Bard, Ivern and Heimerdinger aren’t exactly the best picks against teamfight monsters like Katarina and Kalista. Dota 2 all star match 2015 recap Nevertheless, both teams had constant smiles.

As Fire’s carries started to gain a bit of damage, they were able to start making better trades in teamfights. Kim “ PraY ” Jong-in and Søren “ Bjergsen ” Bjerg slowly began to deal enough damage to keep Katarina from running a train through their team. That being said, Chen “ Mouse ” Yu-Hao showed that Kled can easily destroy teams by himself.

The sheer amount of all-in and burst left Team Fire dying out fight after fight. At this point, Fire was 20k gold behind and at the mercy of Ice. Baron buff allowed Ice to roll through Fire with ease, ending the second game in just under 24 minutes. With that, Ice tied the series going into the deciding final game.

Fire 1 – 1 Ice

Game Three

FIRE ICE

TOP: Impact – Teemo sOAZ – Shaco
JNG: Reignover – Skarner Clearlove – Master Yi
M > Faker – Zed xPeke – Maokai
ADC: Celebrity – Draven Uzi – Tristana
SUP: RonOP – Brand Albis – Rengar
BANS: Garen/Galio/Gangplank Nautilus/Le Blanc/Syndra

Just by looking at the champions on the side of Ice, you could see how crazy this game was destined to be. Despite the troll picks, Fire was dead set on taking down Ice. Five minutes in, Fire was already ahead 1k gold. The only lane that even had any footing for Ice was the duo lane, but it wasn’t much.

Crowd control oriented picks like Brand and Skarner on the side of Fire left Ice scared to make any sort of move. Ice tried to find picks around the top side with Paul “sOAZ” Boyer, but they were too far behind to extinguish Team Fire.

At this point, Ice were running around with no purpose. They began to troll Fire by running around in circles and playing hide-and-go-seek. In good fun, Fire began to troll back by letting members of Ice live after putting them on the edge of death. After a few cheeky exchanges, Fire turned the heat back up and began melting Ice again.

Fire began playing with their food, often diving behind Ice’s towers for kills. Ice tried to mount a comeback by getting an ace, but unfortunately for them, it wasn’t enough. Fire’s lead had already grown into a wildfire, and it was unforgiving. One last push gave Fire the headway they needed to close out the game, winning the series for Team Fire and closing out the 2016 All-Star event.

Fire 2 – 1 Ice

General DiscussionIs DotA 2 dying?

u started an account to see your stats and posted on a forum for dota 2. so nope

if u’r 1k mmr u will feel that

I dont think that it is dead but my higher mmr friends believe it is dying. I honestly disagree but i’ve recently heard alot of people agreeing.

Dead game for sure, people living patch to patch on meta heroes but fun died in this game a long time ago.

higher mmr friends believe it is dying.

can you please tell me what you see as higher mmr friends.

yeah inhouses should come back other than that the games fine

we also need to keep in mind that unfortunately our opinions as 5k+ players are kinda irrelevant in the great scheme cuz we’re just 0.1% of the playerbase, the fucking 2k normies are the ones who decide if the game is dying or not

No. People are just way too dramatic.

been dead for a long time now

1 million players at the same time, 12 million monthly users
It’s not been higher, so if anything it’s growing.

Just look at statistics instead of asking autisitc people on a dota forum

Can someone party with me guys? I’m just a 2.7 scrub and I really want to get out of that bracket. I’m willing to learn. Thanks

12 million players 2 weeks ago
Gained 200k new players til today

idk m8 but im back on my losing streak for this patch again.

prize pools that shit on any other game’s tournaments.

Hell, LoL’s grand-fancy-worldchampionship prizepool is shat on by smaller majors.

Up to TI4 the game was perfect after that its just been Inbalance after Inbalance
PA spamm followed by Sniper / troll spamm Storm spamm followed by Windrunner spamm followed by Huskar spamm

ratting is a bit back now but was dead up till now since TI4
And teampush aswell

it seems like carry being carrying is back a bit too instead of the of The solo mid carrying everything.

Still its a bit of patches to go to get back to the good old days where you could play varius diffrent styles and still have a 50/50 shot at winning instead of The play carrying solo mid with husk or wr (metashit) or only 5% change to win.

Dead game would be game that has no player base and no tournaments whatsoever, there is no acctual dead. Dota 2 is not even close to dead and new players are always emerging, maybe young players are not used to dead games so they think game is dead even it is not. Getting online, having 100 active friends in all mmr ranges is kinda alive. Maybe problem is on higher levels, or on pro level, but it is understandable, since not many players can achieve that level and join that club, so it seems dead specially when some of them stop playing or leave for other game.

Personally I think it has already reached its peak at TI5 and now slowly declining

If decline is case, we would see dota 3 coming out, not new patches. It might be normal that there is loss in interest between two TI’s. Let’s wait and see what happens when hype kicks in. Game slike Dota 2 that are so much releveant in e-sports and have such huge amount of money involved do not just ‘die’.

^they just introduced dota3 (=dota 2 reborn)

its dieing personally for me. i think a lot of players become frustrated by the weak ranking system and boring meta plays.

i just have to find a game, which can replace dota. Dota 2 us server mb the division, once it comes out in march. looks promising anyways.

But it is still dota2 with new interface. Sorry, didn’t know it counts as new dota game. Rank system has it flaws for sure, game meta changes, some heros from top tier picks go back to mid or low, it is how it is. You can always say good bye to dota and come back whenever you like, start from 0 and find way to enjoy it, but I doubt it will die so easily.

Meta sapm has been present since forever. Nightmares of 6.57 DP and Necro still haunt me. Morph in 6.64. Zombie post rework. etc.

Game was actually dying during reborn beta, and post reborn release due to people being unfamiliar with the main menu, hipsters complaining that the old one was better (when it’s NOT, the old one was super basic, good, but too basic)(arcade mode is amazing) and all the bugs and glitches that came with reborn dropped the population, now numbers are high again.

I don’t get how people can say TI 2 and 3 had more players, uh, it didn’t, I didn’t play back then, but the statistics are there, game has grown ALOT. Prize money for tournaments is higher, MOBAS are STILL ON THE RISE (hence why tons of moba clones are coming out like crazy) PC gaming is on the rise (Dota or counter strike usually being the first games people hear of on Steam) Also, when the International 2011 was happening, Twitch was barely being born, and the game didn’t get nearly as much coverage back then as it does now. (seeing as Twitch is now main stream, and everyone has a Twitch account these days)

Many many casuals play games for the first time cause they thought it looked interesting when watching it on Twitch, Twitch has done ALOT more for gaming than people think.
Game is fine.

Looks 2 me like the game is just growing! Sure some people have given up on the game, but they should be ignored. There’ll always be players passionate about dota, just as there’ll be people who are shall we say less keen on the game. I normally play by myself now, as my friends have started playing less or moved away, but I still have a gr8 time every game! There are some complete dickheads but a lot of gr8 people & there always will be.
Dying or otherwise, it’s a personal choice 2 play the game.

Best VPN for DOTA 2

Home Best Vpn Best VPN for DOTA 2

The story of Defense of the Ancients or DOTA goes back to 2003 when the original game was released. However, it is DOTA 2 (released a decade later) which has many players around the world hooked thanks to its unique features. Unfortunately, many players face latency issues that hamper their gaming experience. In order to get victory, fast moves are essential but when you have to deal with spike lags, a game that should be full of action and entertainment becomes a nightmare.

Distant servers are the main reason why players experience high ping times. There are different factors that cause latency including the number of nodes that you data packets have to cross to get to their destination. When there are long routes with multiple hops that further delay the response time. If a server is above capacity, between the long distance that packets have to travel between your computer and the gaming server, the ping time will increase and you will experience frustrating lags while you are playing. Since everything can change in a matter of seconds in a game like DOTA 2, lag can have devastating consequences.

Reducing DOTA 2 Latency issues

In order to prevent lag and latency issues, players are advised to connect to a server that is close to their location. This should improve ping and allow you to experience optimal speed while playing DOTA 2. However, there may be cases in which you may want to use a different server to be able to play with friends or you may just want to find an effective solution to avoid latency. If you want to enjoy DOTA 2 without experiencing frustrating lag, you can count on a VPN to help you to enjoy every second of the game. While in general a VPN can slow down your connection due to the encryption that it applies to your online data, there are good providers that can actually help you to enjoy better ping times thanks to the use of shorter routes.

When you play DOTA 2 using you standard internet connection, the performance of your ISP’s servers can be affected due to heavy traffic, which will result in high ping and annoying lags. The advantage of a VPN is that it redirects your traffic through a less congested, more efficient route to the DOTA 2 servers. For players, good speeds without lags are essential since their performance on the game depends on being able to make moves as fast as possible. The best VPN services offer servers specially designed for gaming and once you connect to them, your will be able to enjoy reduced ping rates, which will result in a better gaming experience.

Using a VPN will not only help you to fix latency issues, it will also help you to avoid matchmaking problems. It may happen that you are trying to play DOTA 2 with a friend and during the matchmaking process you couldn’t get in the same queue in which they are going to play due to high ping times on your side. When you connect to a fast VPN server you can reduce ping by connecting to a server near you. DDoS attacks are another concern for DOTA 2 players, particularly for those who have reached the leading board. A VPN disguises your IP address, keeping your identity protected. VPNs are great tools for online security because they encrypt your traffic. You will be safe from hacking, eavesdropping, cyber crime and other threats.

Additional tips to get the best performance for DOTA 2

There is a great selection of VPN services that will allow DOTA 2 players to enjoy fast performance to defeat their enemies. Before we go through the list of the best options available, it is worth considering a few tips that will help you to boost speed and get optimal connection for your gaming needs. First of all, a fast internet connection is crucial so make sure that your plan supports the best possible speeds. When using a VPN, the best option to avoid latency issues is to connect to a VPN server that is close to your current location. Make sure that there are no downloads or updates taking place while you play as this will have an impact on your gaming. You can also adjust the bandwidth distribution, assigning greater bandwidth to your online gaming and limiting it for other tasks. It is also important to consider hard disk defragmentation as this will boost the speed of your system. Without further ado, here are the best VPNs for DOTA 2.
