A Quick Gu >

A Pudge Life

Pudge is such a fun Hero. The glee at landing a successful Meat Hook will delight you and your allies every time. But, if you’re not familiar with his kit, you might get hung out to rot. Let’s take a look at what makes Pudge tick!

Skills

What you Skill depends on your roll. Pudge has two active abilities in Meat Hook and Rot, a passive ability in Flesh Heap, and his Ultimate is Dismember. Typically, alternate between Rot and Meat Hook until your Ultimate. Consider two points into Meat Hook level 2 and 3 for optimal return.

Generally, Rot is considered the best first option. Rot level one applies an 11% movement slow and 30 damage per second (DPS) to enemies if you can get close to them. Usually, at level one, you would attempt to surprise an enemy from the shadows or use the aid of an allies’ stun to get close and apply your Rot. 30 DPS at level 1 in conjunction with the slow could allow you to make an unfortunate situation for your opponent a benefit for you. Kill the enemy Hero and reap the rewards!

Rot can also be used to aid in getting last hits on creeps. Be careful, though, as Rot harms you just as much as it harms the enemy. This does not take into account how much Magic resistance you have built through Flesh Heaps or itemization.

Meat Hook

Meat Hook is Pudge’s most important skill by far. This works by shooting out away from Pudge in the direction you aim it, and pulling back whatever it comes into contact with first, be it a creep, an ally or an enemy. It will grab it and bring it right to Pudge’s rotting feet.

Meat Hook is considered a skill shot in that it will not track what you click on, so you must gauge where you throw your Meat hook based on the Heroes’ movement speed and how far away they are standing. Unlike Dragon Knight or Crystal Maiden’s stuns, described here, the best way to practice this is to play Pudge in a ‘friendly’ Unranked game, buy Mangoes and Clarity Potions, and toss those Meat Hooks around. Be ready for criticism. You will get better as you learn.

Meat Hook is excellent in its first level. It used to be that Meat Hook’s range increased with its level. Now, Meat hook has its maximum range of 1300 units at level one. However, to curb the awesomeness of this buff, Valve created a 27-second cooldown at level one for Meat Hook. This is not a spam ability like Skywrath’s Arcane Bolt, as Pudge has a low mana pool to use Meat Hook which is a mana costly skill.

Meat Hook also deals Pure damage, which means that the damage dealt is not negated by any resistance. None. Black King Bar be damned.

Flesh Heap

Flesh Heap works by increasing Pudge’s health and magic resistance for every Flesh Heap you gain. This skill increases Pudge’s health by increasing his Strength. This works in conjunction with Pudge’s ultimate: Dismember.

Do not skill Flesh heap for a while. This skill is dependent on Pudge being close to enemy Heroes upon their death, which might be a while given the nature of Dota 2. The only time you should skill Flesh Heap early is if you have been successful in being near team fights consistently, are actively taking part in kills, and the opposing team has a significant amount of magic damage.

Passo 1. Veja os requisitos mínimos e configure os gráficos de Dota 2 no Steam. O jogo só rodará se o seu computador preencher essas exigências;

Passo 2. O jogo é totalmente free to play, ou seja, grátis para instalar e começar a jogar, e está disponível exclusivamente no Steam , Para melhorar sua experiência, confira nosso tutorial sobre como instalar jogos no Steam, e acesse o fórum TechTudo para descobrir qual notebook é bom para rodar jogos do Steam;

Passo 3. Antes de se aventurar nos duelos online, complete os tutoriais para aprender os conceitos mais básicos do game, seus objetivos, como usar itens e quais são os heroes disponíveis para controlar;

Passo 4. Jogue algumas partidas contra bots para se familiarizar com a jogabilidade. Para isso, clique em “practice with bots” (“treino com bots”) dentro da aba “private games” (“jogos particulares”);

Download grátis do app do TechTudo: receba dicas e notícias de tecnologia no Android ou iPhone

Passo 5. Nenhum tutorial ou dica da internet se compara à experiência de aprender o caminho das pedras com um bom amigo, então convide alguém de confiança para treiná-lo clicando em “create lobby” (“criar lobby”) na aba “private games”. É possível proteger a sala com senha para impedir a entrada de estranhos no jogo, ou deixá-la aberta para encarar seus primeiros rivais desconhecidos;

Passo 6.

Top 10 Best Dota 2 Announcers Ever Created

Dota 2 is a free-to-play multiplayer online battle arena which has millions of players worldwide.

This is one of the few competitive games in the world wherein the gameplay can never be altered with in-app purchases as opposed to other games, particularly MMORPGs.

This means that this game is literally 100% fair to all, but how does Valve make money out of these millions of players if the gameplay doesn’t involve even a bit of pay-to-win transactions? It is estimated that Dota 2 earns a revenue of roughly $18 million from players, so how?

The answer is through aesthetics and virtual cosmetics.

Players can alter the designs of their display, and they can even alter some of their UI’s visual appearance.

However, Dota 2 does not feature visual graphics designs only but they also feature audio output customizations like background music, and the more famous – voice announcers.

An announcer in Dota 2 is sort of your guide while playing.

Its purpose is to give you information about what’s going on while you are playing, including vital information with which your current display view can’t provide. It gives you information such as your tower status, barracks status, if you are under attack, whenever you faint, and a lot more!

The default announcer is good as is, but you can of course purchase customized ones which we will be tackling now! So, are you wondering what are the best Dota 2 announcers ever created? Well, here they are!

10. The Stanley Parable Dota 2 Announcer

Stanley Parable is a simulation game created by Davey Wreden. This game features a voice announcer comparable to a voice of a storyteller.

Dota 2 never let good stuffs slip, so they’ve decided to import and this announcer creating one of the best announcers Dota 2 ever had!

If you prefer something that of a gentleman’s voice, then you might want to consider Storm Spirit’s Dota 2 Announcer.

This lovely gentleman is known for his charisma which could struck a woman’s heart like a lightning bolt.

If you are this kind of guy, or if you are a woman who prefer this kind of personality, then hearing Storm Spirit’s voice over and over again might just improve your overall gameplay!

7. Crystal Maiden’s Dota 2 Announcer

Crystal Maiden is Lina’s sister, and unlike her sister, this woman with a very charming voice is actually an expert of trash talking her opponents in a very cute and charming way.

It is literally impossible for someone using this hero not to laugh the first time they use her because she ridicules enemies a lot whenever she killed them. Likewise, her voice announcer version is just as cool as her gameplay voice. And take note, she will not only ridicule your enemies but also you if you slack off!

6. Darkest Dungeon Ft. Wayne June Dota 2 Announcer

If you prefer something suspense, then you might want to try out the Darkest Dungeon Dota 2 announcer voiced by Wayne June. Wayne June is behind the Dark Souls narrative, and you would instantly love his strong voice mixed with a lot of suspense to capture your attention.

Don’t misunderstood though as Axe is a genius since he’s a war veteran, and calling his voice like that of a dimwit is not an insult at all but a compliment because you have no idea how funny his lines are – especially the ones on his announcer pack.

Axe is a popular pick by teams make sure to read the: top 10 best Dota 2 teams.

4. Meepo’s Dota 2 Announcer

Another announcer leaning towards cuteness is Meepo’s Dota 2 announcer. Meepo is one of the most difficult hero to use in Dota 2, and a very few can actually use it. With that, Meepo’s voice is usually isolated because not many uses it.

The good news is that, Meepo has a voice announcer and is cool and at the same time cute to hear. Try it out next time, and this could just become your favorite!

3. Kunnka and Tidehunter Dota 2 Announcer

Kunkka and Tidehunter are one of the greatest rivalries in Dota 2 apart from the sibling rivalry of Lina and Crystal Maiden.

Though they are not siblings, these two are mortal enemies as a sea ship captain (Kunkka) against the most vicious sea monster (Tidehunter) ever lived. These two spells war whenever they cross path, but they actually joint together for the first time in this announcer pack.

The results of their combination are simply fantastic, you might want to consider this if you prefer something strong and badass.

Also make sure to read our best dota 2 arcade games here.

2. Rick and Morty Dota 2 Announcer

Another cool Dota 2 announcer pack is Rick and Morty. This announcer pack is derived from the cartoon show Rick and Morty.

Surprisingly despite its theme, this announcer pack has been use by a lot of players even by professionals. Is it the voice? Is it the theme? Or is it simply just fun at all? You might want to find out!

1. Glados Dota 2 Announcer

Definitely the best for those who prefers more immersion to the game. This audio announcer has a voice of an AI which makes your experience more realistic.

It would look like you have your own AI backup to give you information about what’s going on while you are playing. If you prefer a female robotic AI voice, then this would definitely be the best one for you.

Conclusion Dota 2 Announcers

Take note that these are not all of the Dota 2 announcers available, and you can find all of them in the main game menu.

Each of them have their own samples so choose whichever you prefer. This list is based on reviews by many players, so this will give you an idea of what are the best and the most used Dota 2 announcers in-game in case you are looking for the best announcers based on your tastes.

Dota 2 Situational Warding Gu >

Dota 2 Situational Warding Guide by RubxQub

As someone who just about exclusively supports, I wanted to give a little perspective on warding that I feel most folks are missing, even at high levels (5K+).

Warding isn’t just about knowing where “good” ward spots are. There are dozens of maps and videos you can watch that will show you where all the spots are that give you optimal vision of various things… I won’t be covering that Common examples included below. THIS is an exhaustive list, however.

Instead, I want to highlight WHY you should choose a specific ward position based on what’s going on in the game. I’ll break these down into specific ward categories: Rosh Ward,Objective Ward (Offensive/Defensive), Jungle Ward (Offensive/Defensive), Lane Ward andMid Ward. Even these aren’t ALL the reasons you’d want to ward, but it should give you a really solid foundation to build upon if you’re still the person who just wards the runes for 30 minutes and maybe the designated ward spots when you have the appropriate map control.

Rosh Ward

First things first, your Rosh ward should just about always give you rune vision, so this is a high priority ward location. There are really only 4 spots to ward that give this vision appropriately (2 on Dire, 2 on Radiant) so dewarding is fairly straightforward. If they have a ward there, a pair of sentries WILL find them.

Radiant Side 2: Here and here. One sentry can hit both of these.

Dire Side 2: Here and here. One sentry can hit both of these.

There are secondary locations that can scout Rosh, but they are rarely used (even at high levels). Here and here. This last ward of course is used all the time…just not to scout Rosh, and usually not past 15 minutes.

Good times for this ward:

  • Enemy has an early Rosh hero (8-12 minutes for folks like Troll/Ursa/Lycan)
  • When you know Rosh is spawning, you want a ward here

…in general this is a very high priority ward spot. If you’re completely unsure of where to ward, this is always a safe bet.

Mid Ward

This ward is meant to be placed uphill on the enemy side of the river (ideally) to give you better vision on the mid. You can place this either immediately uphill in the middle of the lane, or just on the uphill outside edges of mid that still give you vision of mid. Like this or like this (opposite for other side).

This same ward is also a good objective ward for mid tower, but I’ll cover that in a sec.

Good times for this ward:

  • When you need uphill vision to establish if it’s safe to gank, or allow a gank setup (SB charge, execute, Axe blink, etc etc).
  • When your mid is constantly getting rotated on by the other team’s jungler or supports through mid.

Objective Warding

These wards are meant to give you an advantage when your team is pressing an objective (Tower/Rax). Instead of blindly pushing a tower and rolling the dice on who’s around to defend, you can spend a ward to give you a much better chance to knock that objective down. You’ll be placing these wards in spots that at least give you vision of any potential TPs to that tower. Generally this is behind the Bot/Top T1s (like this) or some high ground location at the T2s (like this or like this). You may also want to ward the path TO that tower if you’re more worried about roaming rotations vs. TPs.

These are more typically mid-game wards vs. early game.

Unsure if it’s well known (it should be), but you can ward inside the enemy base from the outside like this.

Good times for this ward:

  • If you’re not sure where the enemy is and it’s a risky tower push
  • If you think there is going to be a teamfight, to help setup initiation or scout enemy initiators
  • Everytime you’re pushing rax and know a teamfight will breakout

This applies both offensively and defensively. If you’re getting pushed and you want to prioritize keeping that objective, you’ll want to do these same wards, for the opposite reasons (seeing who’s pushing, scouting initiation).

Lane Ward

This ward is placed between objectives, but most commonly refers to a ward placed between your T1 and the enemy T1 towers, close to their T1 where you could see rotations/TPs.

This is basically your safety net for your safelane carry to ensure they can farm safely if you aren’t there or quickly flee if they see a rotation coming. It looks like this or like this

Good times for this ward:

  • Your lane is “won” for the carry (they can farm safely without you) and you’re now roaming full time.
  • Your lane is heavily contested and you need to scout TP rotations

Jungle Ward

Defensively, these are your “get map control back” wards. Offensively these are your “gank setup” or “where the hell is that jungle farming hero” ward.

This isn’t the “block camps” type of ward that I’m talking about. This is placing a ward in the jungle at a chokepoint somewhere where you’ll be able to see if the enemy is farming their jungle or rotating through it.

Main Dire Spots: Here and Here

Main Radiant Spots: Here and Here

Good times for this ward:

  • (Defensive) You need to establish map control of your own jungle to safely farm it
  • (Offensive) You want to setup ganks and know when it’s safe to roam through their jungle to do it

Quick Note on Dewarding

I’ll just quickly say that dewarding is just as much art as it is science. You need to figure out what kind of support you’re dealing with on the other side. You also need to be able to read enemy movements to determine if they’re reacting “funny” to what you’re doing.

  • Are they very basic in where they place them?
  • Do they ward like someone who could have written this guide?

If you can easily deward the enemy, do it. If you’re constantly getting dewarded, immediately get more creative with your ward positioning. It’s better to have SOME vision in less ideal places than no vision because you’re constantly dewarded.

Wrap-Up

In general, your priorities at different points in the game would be:

  • Early Game: Rune Ward, Mid Ward, Lane Ward
  • Mid/Late Game: Rosh Ward, Objective Ward, Jungle Ward

Again, not fully exhaustive of all the reasons/ways you should be warding, but I wanted to at least attempt to give people a more situational philosophy of warding.

Even if you don’t fully understand or don’t see all the reasons you’d expect for the wards I call out…the main point I’m making here is that your wards shouldn’t be used casually or carelessly. They should be placed with a very specific purpose in mind, as they are a limited asset.

Hopefully this helps someone, or starts a good dialogue.

Phantom lancer dota 2 versus sniper

Phantom lancer dota 2 versus sniper

Phantom lancer dota 2 versus sniper

General DiscussionHow do i lane vs a sniper?

I’m a mid player and i really want to know, how to lane vs sniper. I’ve gone vs sniper as invoker and storm recently and i’ve completely got wrecked. I wish to know what to do and how to survive the lane vs him.

Unlike with zeus, you cant just move a bit to the side of the creeps to not get hit by his first, you cant deny his clarity and already get an advantage because his shrapnel is quite cheap.

You cant outlasthit a good player because his attack animation is almost instant.

You cant harass him because he has better range and ”Headshot” which gives him an advantage.

So my question is : How do you win mid vs sniper?

I want to know the counters ( mid laners ) and how to lane as a non-counter.

isnt his weakness that he is really easy to gank?

yes, make sure your team picks gankers and gank the shit out of him. Facing sniper solo is actually quite hard.

You need aggressive play against a sniper, and preferably a gank. He’s slow and has no trick to survive, or burst damage to be dangerous early on.
Also you can hope has bad luck with headshot, as his base damage is ridiculously weak, or get a stable melee with quelling to get some decent farm.

Storm is a really good counter (after lvl 6).

Heroes who fuck him up are Tusk, Spectre, Templar Assassin, Phantom Assassin, Puck (it he player is good), etc.

Bassically heroes who can cut the distance between you and them really fast.

If im going sniper mid I hate to lane against a good huskar.

How awfully out of position must sniper be to be easily ganked during laning?

Doesn’t need to be awfully oop, a moment of letting down his guard is enough.

just kill him, he’s made out of paper

Mid sniper? That’s the blessing I would want to hear when I play support ganking mid at 0 min with smoke

Spirit Breaker on your team with lvl 2 and on ganks. Enojy the other team calling him a feeder.

Just like huskar sniper is rlly hard to lane against. However he is as squishy as a fucking rotten tomato. Just get a better block then walk at him. Or have a support walk at him.

Thanks for all the positive responses. Im going to gitgud.

Viper is a somewhat decent count I think 1v1 mid but you need phase boots or catch sniper badly out of position. Basically make him burn his shrapnels. When he does he’ll eat your skin debuff for equal or greater dmg depending on how long you sit in the shrapnel. Then without sharpnel he has to stay away cus ur slows will just let you kill him if he doesn’t slow you, and you can harass him down with poison spit. Snipers base dmg is horrible so any time he hits you he’ll actually take equal or more dmg than he puts out from corrosive skin. Once you hit 6 if you have phase boots or wind lace he’s toast. A build like 2/1/2/1 at 6 or 3/1/1/1 should do it.

Pudge if you are really good and sniper sucks is obvious to cus he can’t survive a hook that lands.

I think TA can be good as well. Psi blade spill dmg hits 790/890/990/1090 away so you can hit snipers if you line it up right. And you can negate the start of his shrapnel with refraction.

Alch you won’t kill him but sniper can’t stop your farm. You just acid the wave and he can’t walk through it to hit you or get around cus he’ll take too much dmg. His only shot is to get deny crazy.

That headshot and dragon lancer is hell! pick nyx assassin or riki (if he has gem as riki you will die but if nyx just use this 3rd skill that stuns him for 3 seconds) to assassinate him also pa works good againts him if he has no level 4 sharpanel or pa will rage.

Roster changes for Team Secret

Team Secret has confirmed roster changes for the upcoming DPC 2019-2020 season, as they replace both MidOne and coach SunBhie.

Rumors had been circulating for some time that there would be changes for Team Secret for the new season. When the team took a break for the first round of events, it almost confirmed the whisperings in dark for many fans.

Now, the team officially confirms what had been predicted.

Due to the high demands and sacrifices of living in Europe and competing with little downtime, Yeik Nai ‘MidOne’ Zheng will be taking an extensive break from Dota 2.

Firstly, MidOne will be departing from our active roster in order to take an extended break away from DotA 2. The demands of the previous DPC season required staying in Europe for extended periods of time to commit to boot camps, Majors and travelling across the world for tournaments in other regions. MidOne has sacrificed tremendously in order to compete and contribute to our team’s success at the top level of DotA. He has proved an invaluable player and friend along the way, and we could not ask for a better team member. During MidOne’s time on our active roster he was able to become a triple Valve Major winner, a multiple tournament Champion, and has represented us at The International for the last three years – including 4th place at this previous International, our highest placement to-date. We are extremely grateful for everything he has done with us, and wish him a very well deserved rest in his time away from the competitive scene.

The Malaysian veteran player has been with the team since 2016 as just his second competitive team since starting Dota 2. Prior to Team Secret, he played for Fnatic for 9 months starting in December 2015.

The team will also be bidding farewell to their coach Lee ‘SunBhie’ Jeong-jae who has been with the team for the last two years.

In their stead, Team Secret now welcomes Lee ‘Heen’ Seung Gon as the coach and Lasse ‘MATUMBAMAN’ Urpalainen to the carry position. Michał ‘Nisha’ Jankowski will shift to the mid lane, a role in which he has much experience and success on prior to joining Team Secret.

The first of two new additions to the roster is none other than legendary carry Lasse “MATUMBAMAN” Urpalainen. Matu brings a phenomenal track record of tournament success, and is most famously known, aside from memes, for lifting the Aegis of Champions at The International 2017. Matu is a veteran of the scene, and is known for his unique and invasive hero specialisation. He will be playing the carry role in our new lineup and Nisha will move to the mid lane. We look forward to adding his skills, and his personality, to the team and we warmly welcome him to the Secret family.

Secondly, we would like to welcome Lee “Heen” Seung Gon as our new coach to the team. Heen is vastly praised for his coaching ability and deep insight in the top echelons of the DotA scene, proving invaluable to Team Liquid’s success in 2017 and victory at TI7. His recent time spent with TNC has reflected clearly in their results, and we look forward to his presence to be felt in drafting, within the game, and our camaraderie as a team. Heen will be working closely with Puppey to guide us ever closer to our ultimate goal of winning TI.

The team will be making their season and new roster LAN debut in Singapore for the ONE Esports DotA 2 World Pro Invitational December 17th and the second round of DPC 2019-2020 qualifiers starting December 1st.

Team Roster :

Lasse ‘MATUMBAMAN’ Urpalainen
Michał ‘Nisha’ Jankowski
