Introduction

Dragon Knight, or Knight Davion is a strength melee hero that can also be a range hero with his ultimate that can turn him into a dragon for some period of time.
Dragon Knight is a great late hero, especially when he’s fully farmed. Dragon Knight has the ability to increase his armor and HP regen that make him a good tank.

Starting Items

With your minor starting gold (625 for the exact number), you should be looking for some items that can help you last hitting enemy creeps and some consumables items that can help you endure the damage taken from your enemy (creeps & hero). To help you last hitting enemy creeps, Quelling Blade should be enough.

In the early game, you need to make boots. Power Thread should be the best to increase attack speed, movement speed, and strength, this hero attribute all at once. So, you need to buy Boots of Speed as the 1st material and then complete the other materials. Bracer is also important, to help you increase your stat in the early game.

Core Items

After a while, when you’ve gained some gold from farming enemy creeps, you should be ready to make Dragon Knight’s core items. Here are the explaination on why these items are core items for this build:

Helm of the Dominator is a really important item for Dragon Knight tank and killer build. Helm of the Dominator provides damage, lifesteal ability, which will increase your HP when you attack enemy, and armor. This item will help you farm and gain gold efficiently.

Black King Bar provides damage and strength stat point. Other than that, it has the avatar ability, which prevent you from taking any effect or damage from enemy hero’s skill. This item is a really important item for a tank such as this hero.

Being a tank means you are ready to take any physical damage from enemy. Even damage from your enemy can also be used to damage them back, and that is by using this Blade Mail. Other than that, this armor prov >

Item for Killer Build

Daedalus is important for killer build. With Daedalus, it will be easier to deal greater damage to your enemy. Also, this item provides the ability to deal crit. damage, which will work well with the skill Elder Dragon Form level 2 or 3, that can do splash damage.

Mjollnir provides major attack speed and damage. Other than that it has the ability to release Chain Lightning that bounce up to 4 target.

Abyssal Blade provides major damage and strength stat point. If you’re facinng with 1 enemy hero, Abyssal Blade stun ability will work well with Dragon Knight’s stun skill, Dragon Tail.

Divine Rapier grant you a very high damage, that can help you defeat your enemy faster. Though, it has a weakness, it is dropped upon death. If you want to play safe, you should make Heart of Tarrasque or Satanic first.

Item for Tank Build

Since you’ve made Helm of the Dominator, Satanic must be made. Satanic provides damage, major strength stat point, and armor. It has the ability Unholy Rage, that increase your lifesteal ability up to 175%. This item will work really well with Divine Rapier and Daedalus.

Heart of Tarrasque provides major damage, major HP, and major HP regen. Heart of Tarrasque is an obligatory item for Dragon Knight.

Vanguard, a quiet cheap item and suitable for tank build. It provides HP, HP regen, and Damage Block ability.

Assault Cuirass is an armor that prov >

Skills Upgrade

For Davion tank and killer build, it will be best to add more skill points on Dragon Blood first. But before that, you should add 1 point each to each of Dragon Knight’s skills, continued on adding more on Dragon Blood. When you reach level 6, 11, and 16, it’s best to add your skill points to Dragon Knight’s ulti, Elder Dragon Form. When Dragon Blood has already reached the max, add your skill points to Dragon Tail until the max, then continued by Breathe Fire, and then stat.

Skill Usage

Use this skill to damage your enemy heroes on a war, a large wave of creeps for multiple last hit, or on dying enemy heroes. Breathe Fire will be more useful when it has reached it max level (level 4).

Use this skill to save your dying ally hero that was attacked by an enemy hero, ambushing, or to finish off enemy hero that is alone with your ally heroes.

Elder Dragon Form is useful for farming or jungling quickly. When Elder Dragon Form has been upgraded to level 2 or 3, its splash attack will work well with Disruptor’s Kinetic Field or Dark Seer’s Vacuum as they (bunch of enemy heroes) trapped or united (Dragon Knight in Elder Dragon Form could defeat enemy heroes faster if he has made item for killer build).

Console Commands

Console Commands are options accessible via the Developer Console. The dev console allows the user to create an advanced configuration of game settings, using options not listed within the game’s settings menu.

Commands that are listed as cheats will not work within the normal game. Cheat commands will only work in custom lobbies with cheats enabled. For a list of cheats, see here.

Contents

How to use Console Commands [ edit ]

Commands may be typed directly in the developer console to activate the setting, however it is recommended to create an autoexec. cfg file. The file will automatically run the listed commands when a match starts so they will not have to be manually typed every time.

Steps to create an autoexec. cfg file:

  1. Create a text editable file using Notepad or similar software
  2. Type in the desired commands per line, including the desired values for variables
  3. Save as autoexec. cfg and make sure it is. cfg and not a. Dota 2 console commands netgraphe txt file or any other file extension
  4. Place the file in the \cfg folder found in your install directory, usually C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\dota 2 beta\game\dota\cfg

Proper Syntax [ edit ]

When writing a console command, it will normally consist of “blocks” separated by spaces.

Here is an example of a command with each block highlighted for visibility. Block 1 = blue , block 2 = red , and block 3 = green .

bind q “dota_ability_execute 0”

Any command with a third block must encase that block within quotation marks. Placing quotation marks around other blocks may cause errors in which the command will not work.
Code containing only two blocks does not require any quotations.

For an advanced command using incrementvar the proper syntax is as follows:

bind c “incrementvar dota_player_units_auto_attack_mode 1 2 1”

The three numbers are min, max, and delta. Dota 2 console commands netgraphe In the example 1 2 1 the minimum value is 1, the maximum is 2, and the increment is 1. This effectively acts as a toggle, increasing the value by 1 to switch between 1 and 2.
If the values were 0 2 1 instead, it would toggle between three states with each press. Starting at 0, then increasing to 1, then 2, and then looping back to 0.
If the delta was set to 2 instead, 0 2 2 , it would switch from 0 to 2 with each press because the delta would increase 0 by 2 to equal 2.

Adding // in front of a line of code will make the autoexec. cfg ignore that line for input. This allows you to write notes without causing errors.

// Auto attack toggle
bind c “incrementvar dota_player_units_auto_attack_mode 1 2 1”

List of useful Console Commands [ edit ]

Listed on this page are the most common and useful console commands for Dota 2. Irrelevant or unusable console commands are not listed.

Strange

Strange quality is an item quality found on cosmetic items obtained from unlocking Treasure Chests of certain series. Strange items track certain in-game events, such as kills, victories, towers destroyed, as well as hero specific characteristics like Treants created by Nature’s Prophet. This record can be viewed by other players. As a strange item’s counter increases, its prefix changes according to its rank. Visually, strange items appear exactly the same as normal items.

The hexadecimal color code for Strange items is

Strange Modifiers [ edit ]

Strange modifiers are consumable tools that can be applied to a strange item to add additional counters. A maximum of 3 additional strange modifiers can be applied to a single strange item. Applying these modifiers does not override the original tracked statistic. Does not work on regular items.

General Ranks [ edit ]

Stranges rank up based on the number of tracked stats. At each new rank, the prefix of the Strange will change to its respective rank. For example: An Unremarkable ranked Vile Carnival Hat will have its name changed from “Strange Vile Carnival Hat” to “Unremarkable Vile Carnival Hat”.

Dota 2 stream browser to tv

Steam. tv is live again — say hello to Valve’s Twitch competitor?

Update: Steam. tv is back, after its test server was mistakenly made public last Friday.

The Steam Controller. Unrelated to this announcement, but it’s a nice visual way to represent Valve’s gaming initatives, yeah?

Steam. tv is back online — just in time to let gamers watch Dota 2 tournament The International while chatting with their friends over Steam.

We got an early look at the new Steam game broadcasting platform last week, when Valve accidentally pushed it live.

Last Fr >millions upon millions of dollars on the line, and Valve’s own Dota 2 game is the focus of one of the biggest esports events of the year , one which just so happens to kick off next week.

So you can imagine our surprise when we found that Steam. tv actually went live on Friday, and we got one of the only first looks on the internet.

Here’s what we discovered then:

Valve pulled it down late Fr >The International , which is the giant Dota 2 tournament I was referring to earlier — so it wasn’t exactly allowing any ol’ Steam gamer to livestream their gameplay sessions quite yet.

Here’s what it looks like when you log in with your Steam account.

Screenshot by Sean Hollister/CNET

But we could already see that the interface is vastly advanced compared to Steam’s existing Steam Broadcasting website. It feels far more like a native web app.

Once I logged in, I was able to access my new Steam Chat friends list and group chats — the interface seems very similar to steamcommunity. com/chat, but with more functionality — and invite friends to watch videos together while we chat. (hey there, @seaniccus!) The interface has room for quite a few tabs up top for additional chat windows, but weirdly, the video gets minimized when you invite friends. You have to then expand it again.

Oh, and there’s built-in voice chat right there in your web browser, at least in Google Chrome. While the Steam. tv interface works in Firefox and Microsoft Edge, voice chat isn’t supported in those browsers yet — and I haven’t actually been able to log into the chat interface with those browsers as of Monday.

Screenshot by Sean Buckley/CNET

I also downloaded the latest Steam Beta Update on desktop to see if it unlocked any new functionality, but it doesn’t seem to support Steam. tv videos — not only could I not watch The International from the desktop app, but when I started broadcasting a session of Into the Breach, and my buddy tried to watch me play via Steam. tv, it kicked him to the old Steam Broadcasting webpage instead.

A Valve representative told CNET that Steam. tv went live by accident and was meant to be an internal test: “We are working on updating Steam Broadcasting for the Main Event of The International, Dota 2’s annual tournament. What people saw was a test feed that was inadvertently made public,” said the company on Friday.

A new post on the official Dota 2 blog discussed “custom elements” added to Steam Broadcasting specific to Dota 2 in the lead up to The International. Valve plans to “extend” support for all games broadcasting on Steam after the tournament concludes and “expose a new broadcast Steamworks API to Steam partners”.

So far, Steam. tv looks like it could be a neat place to hang out with friends while watching games, but it’s not clear from that statement if it’ll be an alternative to Amazon’s Twitch, Microsoft’s Mixer and Google’s YouTube Gaming quite yet.

“While not everything is known about what form the the final version of the service will take, it shouldn’t cause Twitch, YouTube, and other gaming video content destinations to sweat,” said SuperData analyst Carter Rogers, adding:

“The platform’s biggest differentiator right now is an easy way to chat with friends while watching. This could potentially appeal to people dissatisfied with the lightning-fast (and potentially toxic) Twitch chat feed. However, there is nothing stopping Twitch viewers from simply chatting with their friends on another platform like Discord.”

Game description

Become the part of the global battlefield in this MOBA. Join the team of five players and try to destroy your opponents. Occupy and destroy another team’s base, collect unique items and control your hero. Play Dota 2 browser game today and destroy the “Ancient”. Read more

What is Dota 2?

Dota 2 is an online multiplayer battle arena (also known as MOBA). It was created by Valve Corporation as a sequel to cult classic DotA (Defense of the Ancients). The history of this game is unique because it was not created as a separate title. Defense of the Ancients was a community-created mod for another hit game – Warcraft III: Regin of Chaos. After DotA became a hit among players the mod became a separate title. Try Dota game online on Vortex!

How to play Dota 2 online?

If you never played World of Warcraft or Dota game you will need to know some basics. First of all, you need to know that Dota is a multiplayer game. It means that you will be playing online with other players. To do so you need an Internet connection gaming hardware that will be able to run Dota 2.

If you don’t have a professional gaming set and you don’t want to waste money, you can play Dota game online in the cloud. There will be no need for a gaming PC – you can play on old computer, mobile or smart TV.

In Dota 2 you play in a team of 5 players. Each team has a separate base that they need to defend. This base is called “Ancient”. You and your team will have to keep your Ancient safe and, at the same time, try to destroy the base opposing team. To win you and your team need to destroy the other team’s Ancient.

How to choose Dota 2 heroes?

In Dota game you will be controlling a character known as “hero”. Each hero has unique abilities and requires a different fighting style. It is important to choose the character that will suit you best while you play. They have their strengths but also weaknesses so choosing a character requires some thought and strategy.

There are two primary roles of heroes. They either

  • “carry”
  • or “support”.

Characters that are “carry” are weak at the beginning of the game but have the potential to become very powerful as the game progresses. They can “carry” their team to victory.

Supporting characters lack the ability to deliver heavy damage, but they have other strong points. They can support “carries” using healing skills and other buffs.

If you are wondering when is the time to chose the character we can answer that this happens before the game starts. You will have your chance to chose which character you want to play as in the pre-game drafting phase. This is also a time to consult with your teammates and chose a strategy. The choice of a character depends on how your team plans to play and not only on your preferences. Remember – this is a team experience! As the heroes can’t be changed mid-game this is the final time to make a decision.

What happens when the Dota gameplay begins?

When you choose your hero you will be transported to the game. There you will find your team and the opposing team. Teams are known as Radiant and Dire. Each team occupies its base in opposing corner of the map. Now the fun begins! Destroy the Ancient of the opposing team and win! Dota 2 online game is fun and will keep you engaged for hours!

Sounds easy? We are sad to say that this is not so simple!

We recommend you to chose a strategy before the game starts so now it is time to stick to it. In the game, there are three main roadways called lanes. While you play you and opposing team will be positioned in these lanes. It is time for a fight of control. Whoever wins and manages to get to the opposing Ancient and destroy it, will win. You need to figure out how you and your team will go about it. There is no good way to do it so we will let you figure your style on your own.

Have we mentioned that Dota 2 online is a team game?

You will be playing with your team so the most important part is to work together. If you stick to your strategy and work as a team you will slowly beat your enemy. If you decide to play separately another team that works together will have an easy time in beating you.

What are Creepers?

Creepers are funny looking monsters that are the part of Dota 2 world. You will not be able to control them, but they are a part of your team! They will be your main wall of defense! Creepers will attack your enemies and their towers and also protect you. It is a good idea to let them cover you. They can be killed but they also spawn every so often. And what to do with other team’s creepers? Kill them and you will get gold!

You may also ask:

What does Dota stand for?

DotA stands for Defense of the Ancients. It was a mod to Warcraft III: Regin of Chaos and it was a beginning of DOTA as we know it.

Is Dota 2 online just like League of Legends online?

There are similarities between these two games but they are separate titles with different rules and worlds.

If you are a LOL beginner, read the blogpost on how to play League of Legends.

Is Dota 2 free?

Dota 2 is free to play. You can buy in-game items via microtransactions, but the game itself is free-to-play!

The Bloodroot Tree [ edit ]

Seeking materials for a new weapon, Traxex descended underground to meet her Drow brethren. With full understanding of Drow etiquette and ceremony, she knew the proper way to ask for a branch of a bloodroot tree, which was sacred to the Drow. A white branch was granted to her, which she used to craft into a new bow. [11]

Relationships [ edit ]

  • Lyralei is Traxex’s main rival, and often says mean things about her. [12] According to Lyralei, Traxex is an “emotionally vacant husk of perpetual sadness”. [13] Traxex shoots back by calling Lyralei “completely useless”. [14]
  • Traxex may have a special relationship with Pudge and Slark. [15]

Dota 2 The International 2019: Liqu > Team Secret eliminates Infamous.

Team Liquid continues Lower Bracket run. Valve

Team Liquid is again proving why the team is the King of the Lower Bracket as it eliminated two Dota 2 teams as Day Four of The International 2019 came to a close. For those not familiar, Liquid had been in a somewhat similar situation back in TI7. The team had dropped to the Lower Bracket where it beat opponents to eventually reach the Grand Finals and secure the Aegis.

In the first game of the day, it was Liquid taking on Royal Never Give Up. In the first game Liquid’s Amer “Miracle-” Al-Barkawi used Gyrocopter and partnered with Maroun “GH” Merhej on Io. RNG meanwhile went for the standard Ember Spirit and Lifestealer play from Gao “Setsu” Zhenxiong and Du “Monet” Peng, respectively. In the initial stages, the two teams tried to figure out their matchups, eventually leading to their carries farming. RNG did what it could, but the scaling potential of Liquid’s picks were just too much. The game ended with Miracle – getting 12 kills and zero deaths.

In the second game, RNG went for lane domination. RNG’s Su “Flyby” Lei used Enchantress and Setsu picked Outworld Devourer. Liquid meanwhile went with Rubick for GH and Arc Warden for Miracle-. While Liquid had the initial lead, Setsu rallied his team and gained the advantage against Liquid. Feeling confident, RNG dived into Liquid’s base in order to increase its lead. However, RNG overextended and got countered by Liquid. Despite getting map control, and even having the Aegis, they still couldn’t move forward to high ground. Even while not having buybacks, RNG made what is clearly an aggressive move and got demolished. RNG called GG, ending the game at 78 minutes.

This meant Liquid had to face EG. In the first game, EG took an early lead, getting seven kills by the 10-minute mark. However as the game went on, Miracle-, on his Faceless Void, started to come online and become a problem for EG. A team fight around the 40-minute mark was disastrous for EG, In addition, three of EG’s heroes experienced diebacks which eventually led to the GG. Liquid’s win in the first game appeared to have taken the wind out of EG, as in the second game it was all Liquid.

With this, RNG dropped to 7th-8th place and took home around $848,000. Evil Geniuses, meanwhile, gets to take home about $1.1 million at 5th-6th place.

The other “non-Liquid game” had Team Secret going against Infamous. Secret revealed that it came prepared as it banned Wraith King in the first game, one of Infamous’ comfortable heroes. Infamous therefore decided to go for Phantom Lancer and in a surprise move, went for Riki. While Secret went its way to put pressure on the towers, Infamous made sure to constantly rotate its heroes on the map. Secret was patient enough and eventually its cores managed to catch up with Infamous, giving them the game.

In the second game, Secret again banned Wraith King. Infamous this time went for a Storm Spirit and Lifestealer. For Secret, team captain Clement “Puppey” Ivanov decided to get the Witch Doctor. Despite a being at position five, Puppey took charge in the initial phase of the game. While Hector Antonio “K1” Rodriguez of Infamous managed to get the right amount of farm for his Lifestealer, the rest of the team wasn’t as lucky. One mistake later in the game by K1 ensured Secret’s win. With the loss, Infamous ends its excellent TI run finishing at 7-th-8th place with RNG.

nearly 3 months delay and then the gave us super ♥♥♥♥ immortals.

i think multiple people (me included) predicted they’d be terrible. idk what you guys get so excited/mad about.

BOO! YOU’RE TAKING SLIGHTLY LONGER TO PRODUCE A PRODUCT THAT I THOUGHT WOULD COME INSTANTLY BECAUSE I DONT DO RESEARCH! I DEMAND A REFUND!

then it rolls around and everyone complains about how ♥♥♥♥♥♥ it is.

guess what? i sold mine literally the second i got it. i hate axe as a hero, his W is my least favorite skill in his kit, and i feel like a cape made out of molten lava is stupid.

so i sold mine before everyone got a hold of them and flooded the market. got like over double what it’s going for now. bought items for the heroes i actually care about.

I sold mine for 2 euros (lol considering the number of compendiums, people are desperate for it)

I call it “Blanket of The Orphan” anyway we must appreciate that Valve gave us a nice treasure (I got the invoker set, which looks pretty cool)

i have lots of pent up rage. i saw this entire turn of events coming. as soon as the immortal was one of the last things on valve’s to do list i knew

1) People would spam posts about “when is the axe immortal coming?”
2) After a month or two people would start writing angry letters to valve on a forum they dont follow
3) After that the forums would be tough to sift through what with all the “where’s my hats?” posts.
4) The immortal would be released a little late. valve is a busy company.
5) People would complain about how bad it was, likely using phrases like “i waited months for this?”
6) The price of it on the market would plummet as soon as the waves of immortal hand-outs reached some of the poorer places.
7) Axe would be in literally every game i played for several days, causing me to have a hard-ish time playing meepo.

since i saw it all coming, though, i knew what to do. i ignored the posts, sold my immortal the second i got it (got a little over 2$. not an insane amount, but it’s on the market for under 1$ now, so i guess thats something). Also ive been avoiding meepo and spamming techies. no, axe doesnt totally shut down my meepo game, but i dislike the hero and hes a pain to micro against.

Is Dota Ready For Chen?

Let’s face it: no one plays Chen. In the past 12 months, he’s picked at a 1.06% rate across all pub games. Compare this to the most popular hero Pudge, who you’re more likely to see on a factor of 33 times more in your game. Chen’s unpopularity is historic, even during ages when he was actually good in the meta. Dota 2 es rampage capital punishment

Dedication from Snith, the player with the most Chen games played in the top 100 Player Rankings

While pub trends tend to follow the latest pro tends, Chen is one of the few heroes that’s quite stubborn to meta trends. His pick rate has remained stable, even after being the 4th most contested hero at PGL Bucharest and the 4th most banned hero at ESL One Katowice.

A History Of Buffs

Chen has been receiving buffs ever since patch 6.79, which then nerfed his Hand of Gold cooldown. Some of the most stark changes include three sub patches, from 7.06d-7.06f, that tweaked his Hand of Gold heal from 200/300/400 to 250/375/500. Then since 7.06, Holy Persuasion has had its cooldown reduced from 30/26/22/18 to 10 on each level and its mana cost reduced from 100/110/120/130 to 70/90/110/130.

Along with his recent movement speed boost, Chen became even more of a nightmare at earlier levels. The change to the gold bonus for stacking camps helped his development through the mid game. And in 7.07, he received a 20% XP talent at level 10, which was then buffed to 35% in 7.07c. This became the standard choice among pro Chen players.

Talents helped support heroes maintain relevancy into the mid and late game, when before their only recourse was dependent on items. Patch 7.07 was a turning point when it changed Holy Persuasion to allow sending back creeps. Holy Persuasion is often necessary as a level one skill, but it didn’t do anything for a minute after the initial creep spawn. Allowing Chen to send back lane creeps gives him the ability to mess with the creep equilibrium—crucial to any offlane.

If patch 7.07 wasn’t already enough, 7.07d gave non-trivial boosts to his base damage (+5) and movement speed (300 to 310), and patch 7.09 gave a bonus 15% gold bounty bonus to the hero that stacked the camp. This alone buffed support heroes who could clear camps, such as KOTL at ESL Katowice and Sand King at PGL Bucharest. But Chen is a beneficiary to this change as well, in both offlane and support roles.

Does It Matter?

How underrated does Chen have to be until pub players start picking him up? Or is it just that heroes that require controlling more than one unit will never be popular? The usual suspects of Visage, Arc Warden, Lone Druid, Meepo, Beastmaster, and Broodmother rest at the bottom of our pick rate charts. Even Lycan, who has a staggering 58% win rate in the 4-5k+ MMR bracket, is 99th in popularity.

There are some exceptions. Nature’s Prophet is still popular, but it may have more to do with how 60% of players play him as a jungle hero. Then there’s Enchantress, who is the closest analog to Chen and once picked in pro games when the other was already taken. She’s picked nearly 4 times as much as Chen in pub games. But in her case, she tends to transition to a late game damage dealer than a herdsman.

Chen, in his current form, may never be popular, no matter how popular he is in the competitive meta or how inherently strong he may be overall. There was one glimpse of hope, back when talents were introduced in 7.00. His level 15 talent at the time gave 25% spell amplification, opening up an alternate build as a spell caster. Granted, his skill kit didn’t have much synergy at all with the talent, which is why it was quickly replaced in 7.02. But it was an opportunity to refresh the hero, like how Ember Spirit had his magic damage build. What would Chen be without his creeps?
