Ok so here I go:

1st – Heapsize was made for old non-source games and it worked
In source games it might slow you down and crash your game.

2nd – Autoexec. cfg file:

con_enable “1” – enables console so you don’t have to put – console in launch options
r_renderoverlayfragment “0” – increases fps
r_threaded_shadow_clip “1” – if you have a processor with multiple cores leave this command if not delete it
mat_queue_mode “2” – if you have a processor with multiple cores leave this command if not delete it
cl_interp_ratio “1” – interp modifier
cl_interp “0.025” interp modifier / interp = cmd/update rate
cl_cmdrate “40” – this is maximum
cl_updaterate “40” – this is maximum
cl_smooth “0” – not really sure what to do with this one atm, for fps games is better to be 0

i’m on an asus g71v laptop. if you wanna know what specs it has, just google it. i have around 25-35 fps in heavy fights to 60-70 when nothing is going on. and here is how i do it:

i run the game with the settings all on low(even the animated picture is off. it really brings 2-3 frames), vsync off and a resolution of 1280×720.
i use the program ‘gamebooster’. and i can really recommend it to everyone having problems with framerates. it runs in background and basically disables all unneeded processes and kinda boosts your game.

in addition to that, here is my autoexec. cfg:

in case you dont know what an autoexec is:

go to: steam/steamapps/common/dota 2 beta/dota/cfg
create a text document, copy+paste stuff like the above in it and save it as ‘autoexec. cfg’. you have to change *.txt to *.cfg. otherwise it wont work.

ANOTHER IMPORTANT ADDITION
would be the launch properties of dota. Dota 2 console properties of addition go to your steam library, right click dota 2 and click properties. then launch properties on the first tab.
insert the following:

-console – nod3d9ex – novid – high – dxlevel 81 – heapsize 1048576

this will enable the console, cancel the bald valve guy on startup, set the priority of the process of running dota to ‘high’, make you use direct x 8.1 (which disables some shaders and brings more fps)
AND the heapsize will give the game a certain amount of your ram to use exclusively.
i have 4gb ram and want dota to use 2gb of it. so i set the heapsize to 1048576. if u want the game to use 1gb or 4gb, just calculate or google how many bytes that would be

you can also verify the game data in the properties. i would suggest to do that.

thats it so far. thats what i use. thats what i got together out of experience and research on how to improve a source games fps.
i hope i can help anyone out there. please feel free to post additional stuff or suggestions.

Best Teamfight Tactics (TFT) 9.22 team compositions and synergy combos – Set 2

The best team compositions and synergy combos in Teamfight Tactics (TFT). Learn the best units and builds to rank up in patch 9.22, Set 2.

I have published several TFT team builds so far, but over time I will produce more depending on the meta and the patch changes.

Today, we will talk about the new team comps that arise in Set 2: Rise of the Elements with patch 9.22. I will add more in the next days as soon as new strong builds will emerge.

In each build, the champions are sorted by gold cost, and the number prior each name is the gold cost of that particular unit.

Ocean Woodland Mage

Final team: Maokai, Vladimir, Neeko, LeBlanc, Syndra, Nautilus, Malphite, Nami.

A very tanky lineup with a solid early game. You can finalize the build with seven champions if you decide to keep Thresh.

Start with Maokai and Neeko to achieve the Druid’s health regeneration, and then add LeBlanc for the Woodland synergy.

Vladimir and Syndra bring both the three Mage and the two Ocean traits.

Add Nautilus and Thresh for four Ocean and two Warden.

Your team composition is complete. I suggest building tank items such as Warmog’s Armor and Phantom Dancer on Maokai, and Morellonomicon on Neeko as she has an excellent AoE ability: Blooming Burst.

In the late game, you can replace Thresh with Nami for a stronger Ocean unit, and then add Malphite as your last tank to keep the Warden bonus.

Predator Poison Ranger

Final team: Kog’Maw, Skarner, Rek’Sai, Nocturne, Twitch, Ashe, Singed.

An entertaining build with Ashe and Twitch as the carries of the team.

Start with Kog’Maw, Skarner, and Rek’Sai to unlock the Predator synergy.

Dr Mundo and Twitch are your next priorities for the Poison trait. Red Buff works great on the latter thanks to his passive ability Spray and Pray.

Ashe completes the build in the mid game bringing two Ranger and two Crystal. She is your hard carry: build her with DPS items such as Guinsoo’s Rageblade and Deathblade.

Add Nocturne as one of the tanks; he brings the two Steel synergy.

Finally, Replace Dr Mundo with Singed.

Predator Poison Glacial

Final team: Kog’Maw, Warwick, Rek’Sai, Volibear, Dr Mundo, Ezreal, Twitch, Olaf.

Another variant of the Predator Poison team comp that is empowered by the Glacial synergy.

Start with Kog’Maw, Warwick, and Rek’Sai to unlock the Predator synergy.

Dr Mundo and Twitch are your next priorities for the Poison trait.

Add Ezreal for the two Ranged synergy. In this lineup, Twitch is the main carry while Ezreal is the secondary one. On the former, build on-hit items such as Red Buff and Giant Slayer, on the latter go for Luden’s Echo.

Volibear and Olaf are your main tanks, and they complete the composition bringing both four Glacial and three Berserker.

Desert Blademaster

Final team: Renekton, Yasuo, Azir, Sivir, Aatrox, Kha’Zix, Janna, Master Yi.

This is mostly a late-game build, so early on you have to rely on other champions while building your core ones.

I suggest starting with the solid Druid synergy by playing Maokai and Neeko – you will remove them later on.

Add Renekton, Yasuo, and Sivir as soon as possible to unlock two Desert and two Blademaster. Sivir is a strong ranged carry: give her Runaan’s Hurricane and on-hit effects such as Giant Slayer and Red Buff.

After the mid game, continue the team composition depending on what you can find first:

Azir and Kha’Zix maximize the four Desert synergy.

Janna increases the survivability of the team with the Cloud trait.

Master Yi is a powerful champion, and he brings two Mystic.

Finally, with Aatrox you will complete the four Blademaster synergy.

Shadow Inferno Summoner

Final team: Zyra, Malzahar, Yasuo, Kindred, Sion, Annie, Janna, Master Yi.

An inferno-based lineup that evolves into a multitude of traits in the mid-late game.

Start with Zyra, Diana, and Varus for the three Inferno synergy.

Add Malzahar and Sion for the two Shadow trait.

Replace Diana with Kindred; you will earn the two Ranger bonus. Kindred is your carry in the mid game, so build AP items on her, such as Rabadon’s Deathcap and Seraph’s Embrace.

Veigar maximizes the Shadow synergy.

Finally, add Annie for the three Summoner bonus.

In the late game, your main carry becomes Master Yi. Build him with Guinsoo’s Rageblade and survivability items like Guardian Angel.

Remove Veigar and add Master Yi.

Remove Varus and add Janna for the Mystic trait, and Yasuo for two Blademaster and two Cloud. These two final champions will boost the survivability of the team as their traits provide magic resistance and dodge chance to the whole lineup.

Shadow Ranger Crystal

Final team: Malzahar, Yasuo, Kindred, Sion, Ashe, Janna, Master Yi, Taric.

Learn well this lineup because you must build it over time and adapt to the situation and picks.

In the early game, you want to achieve three Inferno and two Ranger with the following champions: Vayne, Diana, Zyra, and Varus. Later on, you will get rid of them all.

Add these units depending on your luck with the shop:

Kindred and Ashe are your carries, so try to securing them as soon as possible. They both work well with on-hit effect items, and Statikk Shiv is great on Ashe.

Yasuo and Malzahar bring the two Shadow trait.

Sion and Master Yi finalize the Shadow synergy, and the latter unlocks two Blademaster.

With Janna you gain access to the useful two Cloud and two Mystic traits.

Finally, Taric adds the two Crystal bonus.

Shadow Poison Berserker

Final team: Renekton, Malzahar, Dr Mundo, Kindred, Sion, Twitch, Singed, Master Yi.

In this comp, there is not a perfect way to start the early game, so you might rely on other champions (such as Druids) while finding your core ones.

Get Kog’Maw, Renekton, and Malzahar.

Add Dr Mundo and Twitch for the Poison trait.

Kindred brings two Shadow and two Ranger, while Sion unlocks three Berserker.

Replace Kog’Maw with Singed as soon as you find him. Build him with Morellonomicon and tank items like Warmog’s Armor and Frozen Heart.

Master Yi concludes the build with the four Shadow trait.

Summoner Inferno Assassin

Final team: Diana, Zyra, Malzahar, Azir, Annie, Kha’Zix, Yorick, Zed.

Summoners might be nerfed in the future, but currently they are a reliable meta composition that is worth to try.

Start with Zyra, Diana, and Varus for the three Inferno synergy.

Malzahar and Azir bring the three Summoner bonus.

Replace Varus with Annie whenever you find her.

Add Kha’Zix for the two Desert trait. I suggest giving him Infinity Edge and Bloodthirster because his active ability guarantees a critical hit.

Zed provides the three Assassin bonus, and he is your hard carry. Build him with tank items such as Warmog’s Armor and Guardian Angel: the longer he survives, the more he will be able to exploit Living Shadow’s cloning ability.

Finally, you need Yorick to complete the six Summoner bonus, which will massively boost the survivability of your summoned units.

The Art of Warding

Being a support player myself, warding has always been a huge part of my gameplay. Having a good vision around the map or making an important de-ward always gave me huge pleasure. In today’s article, I want to discuss with you the process of warding, common mistakes, timings and much more.

Let’s start with the basics.

Part 1: Early-game warding

Observer Ward costs 50 gold, while Sentry Ward costs 75 gold. The gold required to purchase wards was lowered from patch to patch, and now both Observer and Sentry Wards are easily affordable for players in all positions. However, warding is still associated exclusively with supports.

So, why do you buy wards? Observer Wards can be used to give vision over the area or to block neutral camps from spawning. Sentry Wards can also be used to block camps, but mostly they are used to destroy enemy Observer Wards and reveal invisible heroes or units.

1. How many wards to buy at the beginning of the game? Where to place them?

These questions might seem simple, but many players have troubles with early wards.

a) Ward in the middle lane.

This ward is out of the question, the most important to place at the beginning of the game. Having the ward in the middle lane will help your midlaner to control the lane better. Try to place it as soon as possible to avoid it getting spotted.

Tip: When you play for Radiant, there are several spots behind the trees, which you can use to place wards safely.

b) Ward in the safelane.

This is where many players, especially in low ranks, make a mistake. Having Observer Ward in the safelane is not a requirement. You need to get the ward for the safelane in two cases:

    you are going to lane against a hero, who can harm you by using the Fog of War, for example, Pudge(Meat Hook), Mirana(Sacred Arrow), Keeper of the Light(Illuminate) and Techies(Proximity Mines, Suic >

c) Ward in the offlane.

As meta switched heavily to 2/1/2 lanes, it is no longer necessary to give the Observer Ward to your offlaner. Do it either only if it is necessary for him to block the neutral camp, or in case he is going to lane against a tri-lane.

d) Anti-roamer ward.

In case you play against a very powerful roamer, such as Earthshaker or Earth Spirit, it can be very useful to place a ward, which would spot his rotations to the middle lane.

Most of the times getting only one Observer Ward is absolutely fine. Use extra gold to get yourself additional Faerie Fire, Clarity or Enchanted Mango. Having extra consumables can have a huge impact during the laning stage. Make sure to get second Observer Ward if it will be necessary.

It is important to purchase a Sentry Ward if you are going to lane against a hero with invisibility, such as Treant Protector, Sand King, Riki and Bounty Hunter.

2. The first nighttime. A most important part of the game for the warding.

Lack of movement is the biggest issue of supports in low ranks. Lack of movement also equals lack of good vision around the map. The first nighttime is a time when heroes start to rotate around the map actively. This is why it is very important to provide good vision for your teammates, to avoid them getting ganked.

Ideally, you should aim to bring x2 Observer Wards right before the nighttime begins. Good support should be multitasking, so as nighttime starts at 5:00, you should try to take Bounty Runes and then place the first Observer Ward in the nearby cliff near the enemy tier-1 Tower, and then make a rotation to the middle lane to place the second ward there.

The better you get, the more you can adjust your ward positions, so it would be harder for enemy support to de-ward them.

While you place these wards, you should keep in mind that the enemy support wants to have the perfect vision himself as well. This is why it is very important to get yourself several Sentry Wards and check the most common warding spots.

3. Objective wards.

After the laning stage ends, you and your team should start playing around key objectives of the game, such as Towers and Bounty Runes.

To have an easier time sieging towers, it is very effective to place vision behind them.

Keep in mind, as it is very important to provide good vision in all stages of the game, it is especially necessary to do in the early-game. Thanks to perfect vision, your team can gain the advantage and then use it to win the game easily.

Every hero pretty much has multiple counters so there is no sure team that you wouldn’t be able to beat somehow with some hero or item.

Even though, a combo of Tidehunter, magnus, Earth Shaker, SF and OD is pretty hard to beat, we thought the whole team rushing BKB.

Ah it has its flaws, I just came up with a team fight combo just for the sake of this thread.

There isnt a sure pick But there are Good drafts. I am not a drafter so i cant teach u how to draft but i can tell u my Team’s signature draft.

it’s meepo the things a person with no experience thinks would counter him actually don’t counter him, he beats everything. this is assumign the meepo player bought boots of travel between 6 and 10 minute mark(which is really easy to do). and the meepo player knows what to build such as aghanims drums ethereal blade vlads, and knows when to take roshans and when to push on towers and how to play each match up, generally he doesn’t need to be hitting towers too often against certain match ups while other match ups he can do so more freely. for example if against pudge and earth shaker and riki and spirit breaker and ganking heros that could have blinks then don’t just be aggressive to hit towers, instead kill enemy heros and let the towers come naturally. meepo destroys all those picks in fights. no hero in the game takes towers faster than meepo and it is not close. and no other hero can have more dps from right clicks than all enemy heros combined by 35 minute mark reliably each game(this is not even counting the geostrike passive, which isn’t a small amount of damage itself).

ur best bets in countering meepo is buying tons of evasions since meepo would never buy monkey king bar, but even then meepo destroys evasion picks all game long and after 45 minute mark it merely becomes even match-up. earth shaker loses to meepo 1v1 most of the game except before aghanims. and easy to play against earth shaker just stay passive and know earth shaker will be hiding in bushes and stuff. beat him up in fights and his team. especailly after you get aegis. and plan your aegis so that you have enough to buy back and tp back in. with 3 lives, around 25 to 35 minute mark you will be 10 levels higher than all enemies reliably every game. and with 3 lives, you can rampage and 1v5 win and take 3 tiers of towers single handedly. cause by 35 minute mark you have more dps from right clicks to towers as a 5 man team of heros at that stage of the game.

remember though, you don’t need to teleport 5 times go somewhere, you teleport poof around the map with infinite teleports. tinker needs bottle and crap to do it, meepo can just go straight boots 1 into travel. that 2k for it is like 2k into a blink it’s not a huge lose, but consider no other hero in dota2 comes close to using boots of travel as good as meepo, it’s always worth it. remember you are really fast with those boots and drums and the net is off the screen range, you don’t need blink in most situations, just about all situations. it’s a good item on other heros but not in this situation, 4k gold on no stats is too much when you have no problems catching people already and people are the ones trying to engage on you. once you turn the tide and are the one beating people up they’ll fight you and die, and other times just can’t escape in time. you’d be better off upgrading to boots of travel 2 than blink due to the fact you can teleport poof onto an ally, and remember if your ally is fighting an enemy all the 4 meepos that poofed into the play damaged that enemy for quite a bit, just like blink poofing. legion ults or pudge ults or void ults it’s free teleport poof with 4 meepos nuking when they enter the sandman.

remember though, you don’t need to teleport 5 times go somewhere, you teleport poof around the map with infinite teleports. tinker needs bottle and crap to do it, meepo can just go straight boots 1 into travel. that 2k for it is like 2k into a blink it’s not a huge lose, but consider no other hero in dota2 comes close to using boots of travel as good as meepo, it’s always worth it. remember you are really fast with those boots and drums and the net is off the screen range, you don’t need blink in most situations, just about all situations. it’s a good item on other heros but not in this situation, 4k gold on no stats is too much when you have no problems catching people already and people are the ones trying to engage on you. once you turn the tide and are the one beating people up they’ll fight you and die, and other times just can’t escape in time. you’d be better off upgrading to boots of travel 2 than blink due to the fact you can teleport poof onto an ally, and remember if your ally is fighting an enemy all the 4 meepos that poofed into the play damaged that enemy for quite a bit, just like blink poofing. legion ults or pudge ults or void ults it’s free teleport poof with 4 meepos nuking when they enter the sandman.

ES and lich can easily destroy a meepo, especially if they surprise him.

And I have to disagree with you with him being the best pusher. IMO brood is the best pusher, her and a swarm of spiders melt towers. That and ss’s ult are better at killing towers than meepo imo

You have been on a strict diet of bread and water for a week and now you can finally afford a useless, although pretty, cosmetic item for your favorite hero to go on a feeding rampage. At long last you can own your own Dota 2 Arcana so you can play your low priority games in style. But there are so many and you feel like eating some meat next week. Which one should you pick ?

Fiery Soul of the Slayer

The very first Dota 2 Arcana that players could get their greedy little hands on. The Fiery Soul of the Slayer offers amazing visual appeal and can be combined with a huge variety of items to make Lina a total badass. However, this being an Arcana and costing 30 bucks is not worth it. The item looks amazing, but this should have been an immortal.

Blades of Voth Domosh

The problem with this and the reason why it’s without a doubt one of the worst Dota 2 Arcanas is the lack of anything really. The Duel visual is impressive but once again this is the case where the item could have easily been just an Immortal. There’s nothing really special about it and on top of this, the dual wield look doesn’t appeal to everyone. Plus there are other weapons which actually look better when combined with the Immortals it has.

Fractal Horns of Inner Abysm

Ahhh yes, one of the few Arcanas out there that actually had potential. The problem with this is that while the visual aspect is amazing and unique (you can change the colors of all your spells), it requires additional stuff to do this. So on top of the money for the Arcana, you also need a gem. Swine of the Sunken Galley

This seems sadly like a waste since techies is a very difficult to play hero and is not usually picked in higher skill level matches. This alone makes it one of the worst Dota 2 Arcanas. The arcana itself has decent visuals, but overall this doesn’t really feel like it deserves this quality, or the price that comes with it. It barely even feels like an immortal. Plus, let’s be honest here, how often do you even play techies ?

Demon Eater

The Demon Eater brings mixed feelings. On one hand, it is visually pleasing and changes Shadow Fiend susbtantially to make it worthy of the Arcana status. However, this shines mostly because the hero is quite popular, especially in terms of 1 v 1 and also lacks any other cosmetics. It is one of the best Dota 2 Arcanas in terms of visual change, however only because there are no alternatives for this hero.

Manifold Paradox

The Manifold Paradox is one of the best looking Dota 2 Arcanas. The visuals are amazing and the 2 giant blades feel great. The upgrade and color change of the weapons is a nice touch to make them more compatible with more items. However what makes this thing unique is the memorial sword it leaves thrown into the ground when you kill an enemy. This lasts for the whole game and needless to say, the shear joy of playing through a bunch of them is unrivaled.

Frost Avalanche

One of a handful of Arcanas which actually deserves to have this status. While most can easily be Immortals, this one is an exception. The synergy with the other immortals and the overall look are simply awesome. This is also one of the most popular Dota 2 Arcanas simply because it’s for a support hero. The puppy and the overall visual appeal are above average.

Tempest Helm of the Thundergod

Again, one of the few Arcanas that actually had potential, but somewhere along the way something happened. The visuals and the changes to Zeus’s ulti and animations are amazing. It’s the only Dota 2 Arcana with a Blink animation as well and the cloud is a really nice touch that matches the hero well. However the helm itself as well as the passive icon are awful.

Great Sage’s Reckoning

This has probably gone unnoticed by many which is another indicator of its mediocre visual impact. There’s nothing really eye catching about it and sometimes you don’t even noticed when someone has it. Definitely one of the worst Dota 2 Arcanas.

Bladeform Legacy

This is by far one of the biggest disappointments. Originally this was launched only in the blue version and since nothing could be matched with it, they quickly added an orange variant. Even so, it feels like an Immortal at best.

Benevolent Companion

This is probably the worst Dota 2 Arcana ever. Io is a very niche hero and a handful of people can play him properly. As this was not enough, the “love” theme of the Arcana is weird to say the least. The only redeeming quality is its rarity since it cannot be traded or bought. In essence, if you don’t have it, you will likely never have it ever. Not that you’d ever want it …

Feast of Abscession

I’m having some mixed feelings about this one. It feels like above an Immortal but somehow less than what you’d want an Arcana to be. Visually it’s amazing and works well with the other Immortals. The different particles that get torn from heroes depending on their type is a really nice touch. I would definitely consider this one somewhere in the Top Dota 2 Arcanas but definitely not the best.

The Magus Cypher

Probably the only Dota 2 Arcana which has a negative impact on gameplay. Now it is easy for enemies to tell what kind of spell you have. The impact is small but still, it’s there. Visually the cape looks like an Immortal and if it didn’t have anything else it would easily be the worst Dota 2 Arcana ever. However, the shear volume of spells that are changed by it really makes it fell special. And it’s one of the few Arcanas for a support.

Planetfall

The second Dota 2 Arcana that comes with the 2019 Compendium and it is somewhat weird. It feels like it could have been a perfectly good immortal and just that. When looking at the Judgement of the Fallen Immortal, it is weird that it feels better than this. Of course, it is understandable since it’s virtually free but still. The ultimate upgrade is cool … but just not that cool.

Frostivus 2013: Wraith-Night

Frostivus 2013 is a Christmas event that began on December 12, 2013. Skeleton King has been removed for this event, but was resurrected as Wraith King after global players collected enough souls in the Wraith-Night game mode.

Wraith Night (Game mode) [ edit ]

Wraith-Night is a co-op matchmaking mode in which 5 players attempt to defeat 13 waves of creeps while defending the Wraith King ‘s Altar. The final wave is a battle with the resurrected Wraith King himself.

  • Gold is earned by collecting bags dropped by creeps and keeping towers alive during waves.

Map [ edit ]

  • 5 entrance points.
  • 6 destructible friendly towers.
    • Friendly towers respawn after every wave.
  • 4 indestructible enemy towers guarding spawn spots.
  • 1 shop.

Waves [ edit ]

There are 13 waves in this mode. Each wave has its own name and several different creeps as well as tougher mini-bosses.

Enemies will spawn in waves from 5 possible areas: Near the 4 enemy towers, and an alternate path south.

Tips [ edit ]

  • Groups should generally contain at least 1 of the following:
    • A tank (e. g. Axe or Sven).
    • A kiter (e. g. Drow or Windranger).
    • A healer (e. g. Omniknight or any hero carrying Slippers of Halcyon and Mekanism)
  • All heroes should build “tanky” items first since damage is not a priority during the first few waves. Heroes that use a lot of mana should then get mana items while those that do not should focus on damage or utility.
    • Heart of Tarrasque’s tooltip is false; its health regeneration is disabled by ANY enemy attack.
  • Heroes that are close to buying their next item should stay near the top, close to the only shop.
  • A Magic Stick is very useful for regen on certain rounds (such as 4 and 7) given its low gold cost.
  • Almost all enemies are vulnerable to slows but some of the later ones are immune to stuns.
  • Dead heroes may freely move items to and from their stash regardless of their proximity to the shop.

Difficulty settings [ edit ]

After completeing each difficulty, players will be presented the chance to restart the game mode from the next difficulty tier.

Dying & Defeat [ edit ]

Players do not respawn upon death. Instead, players can be revived in two ways.

  • Being revived by other players.
    • Reviving an ally takes 7 seconds.
    • This time is decreased if more players are revivaling the same ally.
    • While reviving an ally, players cannot attack but will take damage.
  • Buying back with gold.

Defeat occurs under two scenarios:

  • The Wraith King’s alter is destroyed.
  • All players have died.

Scoring [ edit ]

Score is recorded by two counters: Phantom Fragments and Shining Fragments.

  • Phantom Fragments are obtained by playing Wraith-Night and clearing waves.
  • Shining Fragments are obtained by playing Wraith-Night with an active Wraith King’s Favor bonus.
    • Players who have an active Wraith King’s Favor will also grant a 10% stackable bonus for all other players.
    • Wraith King’s Favor also increases the amount of Phantom Fragments earned.
  • Shining Fragments can be exchanged for Phantom Fragments at a rate of 2:1.
  • The number of fragments earned is determined by the wave number.

Minimap

The minimap is a HUD element that represents the game map on a smaller scale. It displays in real time the location and status of buildings, heroes, creeps, couriers and wards. The minimap is subject to team vision, with unseen areas covered by the fog of war. Certain events and Terrain items can alter the appearance of the minimap.

Scanning [ edit ]

Players can use the Scan ability on the right of the minimap UI to detect any enemy heroes in an area. Dota 2 position 1 heroes and icons

Controls [ edit ]

  • Right clicking anywhere on the minimap will command the hero to move to that location. However, there is a delay of 0.2 seconds, where clicks will not be registered. This is to prevent missclicks.
  • Ground-target abilities, such as Wrath of Nature , can be cast by clicking on the minimap.
  • Clicking on the minimap while using Town Portal Scroll or Boots of Travel will teleport the hero to the specified location’s nearest allied building.

Pinging [ edit ]

  • Alt + Left Clicking on the minimap will alert your team about a location by Link▶️ playing a sound and showing an exclamation mark on their minimap.
    • Clicking buildings will play a different sound depending on the building’s alliance, and generally mean a Link▶️ defense / Link▶️ attack of the building is desired.
    • Clicking enemy heroes will play the same sound as on enemy buildings, typically to announce the desire to attack.
  • Ctrl + Alt + Left Clicking on the minimap will alert your team by Link▶️ playing a different sound and showing an X on their minimap, generally indicating danger.

Drawing [ edit ]

Holding down both Ctrl and the left mouse button while moving your cursor over the minimap will draw lines on the minimap. These lines can be seen by all allied players, and their color corresponds to the color of the player. Lines will fade after a few seconds.

Team DK

DK was undoubtedly the greatest beneficiary of the Great Chinese Shuffle, with the team suddenly signing Yaphets, Burning, and KingJ to assemble a star-studded lineup quickly dubbed the “Galacticos” of the DotA scene. Despite the infusion of star power, the team was unable to perform to expectations as pressure mounted on the players, leading to the eventual retirement of Yaphets and BenZ continuation of the slump as veterans like KSSSSS also fled the sinking ship.

However, with the addition of living legend LongDD, Burning’s continued determination to “get up where he fell”, as well as the growth of Super and RotK, DK claimed the dominance that was its birthright. Fielding lineups centered upon “pushing cores” like Syllabear and Lycanthrope and re-introducing jungling into the Chinese meta, DK was able to dominate the scene during the latter half of 2011 much like EHOME had done in 2010, scoring victory after victory and finally solidifying Burning’s title as the Best Carry in the Universe.

DK was invited to the first international but was unable to make it due to Roster Changes and Passport Issues.

Facing rising challenges from reinvigorated powerhouses like iG and LGD and suffering from internal issues, DK failed to maintain its form during 2012, falling in various finals to rivals like LGD and iG and even failing to proceed to the playoff stage of the ACE league.

DK’s progression into Dota 2 was also fraught with peril, having shown consistently subpar form after their rather disappointing debut despite having been the first team to be invited to The International 2012.

However, during the month of August, the internal issues seemed to have resolved themselves and the team appears resurgent, though no longer dominant, as they fought iG to a close 2-3 during the G-League 2012 finals as well as vastly improved their performance in Dota 2 tournaments, defeating Tongfu in the It’s Gosu Mini Madness finals 3-0.

In early October DK underwent roster changes, with LongDD leaving to TongFu and Zippo leaving the team. X!! and QQQ from EHOME joined their old teammate BurNIng on DK.

DK had some good results in 2013, with a 2nd place in the Dota 2 Super League being the most notable. After The International 2013, where DK finished 5-6th, the team roster was completely reshuffled as everyone bar captain BurNIng left the team. [1] The manager of Team DK and xiao8 from LGD confirm that Mushi from Orange has moved to Team DK. [2] Team DK confirms new team lineup consisting of, BurNIng, Mushi, iceiceice, LaNm and X. [3]

Coming into 2014 Team DK managed to obtain their first premier Dota2 title in the WPC ACE League 2013 by defeating Invictus Gaming 4:3 in a monumental comeback after being 0:3 down in the Grand Final. DK went on to win Starladder Season 9, defeating Team Empire 3:0. They did not drop a single game in the offline finals. Team DK placed 4th on The International 2014.

LaNm retired from professional Dota2 on July 22, 2014. [4] BurNIng announced his retirement on August 17th. [5] iceiceice, Mushi, and MMY left the squad on August 26th. [6]

On March 15th, 2015, with ACE announcing that Chinese teams had to finish their reshuffle by this date, DK announces their new roster, and BurNIng stops coaching DK. [7] Cty is loaned to EHOME in April. And the team splits their team into two teams, DK Renaissance and DK Scuderia in September. On November 16th, Team DK shuts down. [8]
