Honestly, play Necrophos. You’ll always have damage ticking on OD, so he can’t just AFK-farm forever. If he tries to fight you, use your heal and just keep chipping him with your passive damage.

I haven’t played much OD, but I hate playing against Necro because he puts a timer on you.

I haven’t played much OD, but I hate playing against Necro because he puts a timer on you.

Only problem is most of the ones I see go for an early bottle, and necro isn’t going to have much luck contesting runes before 6 with OD’s W. That and unless you use it on him the entire match OD counters ult attempts on a teamate with his W. It doesn’t seem like a good matchup to me atleast, but if it works for you go for it.

I’ve actually had alot of success with windranger personally. She can contest runes with her shackle, and thanks to ODs smaller healthpool early points on powershot do wonders. She can also dodge his orb thanks to windrun. I honestly don’t have enough experience with OD to really tell what reks him mid yet, but hopefully this will help.

Pugna. Od mid dota 2 Throw down the ward. If he tries to go on it just decrep him and hit him with a nuke for his trouble. The only thing to be wary of is if he tries to prism you and then take out the ward, but good positioning can deal with this.

Lina is good as well. Her range is much longer than his attack and his prism. If he tries to harass you just hit him back or throw a dragonslave as he walks in.

Clinkz, longer range and a better orb walk mean you will be able to harass him out of lane instead.
