Liquipedia:Team Page Tutorial

Contents

Introduction [ edit ]

Team pages are an integral part of this wiki. This template is designed to give basic information about a Dota 2 team and should be used in combination with the <>-template. This page should give you an idea of what to put in the respective sections of a team page.

Teams may receive their individual pages, as long as they surpass a certain threshold of notability. Check out our Notability Guidelines and Team Criteria if you are unsure if the team might satisfy the requirements.

To create a team page follow Create an Article, copy the empty template at the end of this page, paste it in your new empty page and fill in as much information as you can provide (remove the sections you haven’t used unless they are marked Don’t Remove). For more information about editing, please check out Help:Editing.

The Team Template [ edit ]

Tabs [ edit ]

Team Infobox [ edit ]

Please follow the <>-template. It provides an explanation of the parameters and an example of how the infobox should look like.

Upcoming and ongoing matches [ edit ]

<> will generate a box filled with ongoing and upcoming matches of the team. Not much else to say really. No heading needed.

Introducing the Team [ edit ]

Basic information on the team, when it was formed or when was their Dota 2 section created. Add what games does the organisation plays and maybe some interesting facts (historical events and such). Keep it to the essentials. No heading needed.

History [ edit ]

This part is reserved for historic events that the team achieved in Dota 2 (and DotA if applicable).

Trivia [ edit ]

Any extra tidbits here. Please use bullet points and reference where possible.
If you cannot provide any information remove this section.

Trivia
  • OG has the title of “春秋霸主” (Spring and Autumn Overlord) in Chinese, for their victories of spring and fall majors

Timeline [ edit ]

This section is reserved to list player/coach transfers. Use seperate tabs for every year (tab1 being the most recent year). Use bullet points. Order by time (starting with January). Don’t remove.

  • 2016
  • 2015
  • Show All
  • March 25th – Xcalibur joins as Sub. [1]
  • August 23rd – MoonMeander becomes inactive while Cr1t – and Miracle – leave. [2]
  • October 31st – The players from (monkey) Business create OG. [3]

Player Roster [ edit ]

The player roster should be split into Active, Inactive and Former members.
Use the <> or <>-template. This usually only includes the 5 team members, but can be expanded if there is a permanent substitute or a larger rotating team roster. Order them by Position (Sub being last).
