This year Battlepass brings one of the most recent arcana as one of the event exclusive reward.
Yes, i’m referring to the IO. This is the first arcana that will never be tradeable or purchasable on the marketplace.

I wonder what will happen on the next upcoming arcana ?
Will they release it this way ?

What do you think ?
In my opinion, i’m prefer they release it on store instead of put it as exclusive.
Leveling up Battlepass to reach the exclusive reward will need a bunch of money, which is kinda hard for me.

Since jug won the arcana vote. It’ll appear to be in marketplace or store bought. Probably IO will be the only Arcana that can’t be bought in the marketplace.

Also it’s worth mentioning that the IO arcana wasn’t intended to be an arcana and was at first going to be an immortal reward, I suspect it was changed to an arcana to stop the community keep voting for the IO arcana meme.

The IO arcana costs around the same as any other arcana if you actually do the bp quests, challenges, etc. I don’t get the crying.

but then they remembered the almost ruined (and probably rigged) TI6 arcana contest
and thought to themselves “why not?” they added custom sounds + colorful particles to spirits
and renamed it as arcana
it’s not hard to understand why they did this, IO is the least picked hero, and an arcana made for it wouldn’t get as big sales numbers as other carry arcanas get

the next arcanas will be released for $35 as usually
the only difference is that they might consider making another prestige arcana for next TI, for a hero who wouldn’t sell that good on normal conditions

price would be just the same
$10 for battlepass lvl 1
some months of playing/waggering/questing for 80-100 “free” levels
$15-$20 for the usual level bundle which gives 50-80 levels
at this point most “active” users would be at BP level 160-200
where all they’d need to add is $20-$30 aditonal investment in extra levels
