Dota 2 mjolnir illusions unlimited

Mjollnir on PL?

Not saying that the proc chance of PL’s ult Juxtapose is bad by any means, but I suppose faster attack speed allows you to create more illusions quickly, and then there is the passive chain lightning (or whatever its called) damage on Mjollnir.

So if I have a lot of gold left over, is a Mjollnir worth it? Or should I stick to slightly more standard items like Heart or SoV?

I dont think its worth it later in the game, since a big part of it is the ability to farm faster early in the game. Bu early need need other items like diffusal, and yasha serves the same purpose.

Imo the new PL can mix up his lategame items up a bit more. Before you just wanted butterfly, heart and items like that. He is less about his illusions now, so abyssal is also pretty legit against a static BKB carry. Scythe is obviously still better against slippery targets like ember ofc.

Well it isn’t only a farming item. I find Maelstrom and Mjolnir to be offensive items as well on a hero like sniper, since he needs the lightning and attack speed to kill faster.

He is very much still about illusions. Different kinds of illusions, very different but in the end the illusions are still very important. You still always build Diffusal on him, and level it and you almost always want a heart, you always get drums. There are some new possibilities, but these are utility items. Abyssal is a utility item. Sheep is a utility item. His core and strongest lategame luxury items still remain the same.

Well sure, but sniper’s only steroid is based on attackspeed, and he needs the lightning badly for farming speed.
PL could get a mjollnir to get more illusions if you dont have enough attackspeed already, but why would you want more? A different damage item will give more dps.

So the ‘problem’ with lightyear’s suggestion/question is, what will these slightly extra/faster proccing illusions actually do for you? They wont give you more damage then a butterfly of abyssal.

Also you dont just upgrade diffusal, it doesnt increase the manaburn anymore. And its not worth it for the agi increase, your illusions will only get 16% of the 15 damage it gives.
