Unusual couriers no longer show effects

Since this is a widespread issue among all unusual couriers, I have mass merged all the threads on the matter, and I’ll be compiling a list of effected couriers beneath. If your courier or essence combination isn’t on the list, please report it here.

This thread used to maintain a list, but at this point, it suffices to say that all unusual couriers are affected.

The following method used to work until the 09-05-2013 patch:

GUIDE TO MAKING THE EFFECT WORK:

Step 1: Select hero in-game (don’t hit “Play Hero” just yet!)
Step 2: In the hero customization section select the unusual courier
Step 3: un-equip the courier
Step 4: re-equip the courier
Step 5: .

Test case: to find out what caused unusual courier effect missing from game under different setting.

Practise with bots mode(without equipping the unusual courier)==> Default courier
Practise with bots mode(equipping the unusual courier)==> Unusual courier with effects

Create a lobby mode(without equipping the unusual courier)==> Default courier
Create a lobby mode(equipped the unusual courier BEFORE creating a game, thru player inventory)==> Unusual courier WITHOUT effects
Create a lobby mode(equipped the unusual courier AFTER creating a game, thru player inventory)==> Unusual courier WITH effects

This means:
1. Game servers failed to check EFFECTS TYPE of player’s equipped Unusual courier, a bug
2. In bots game, the GAME itself checks the EFFECTS properly
3. When DE-EQUIP and RE-EQUIP the courier again in game, server check and recognize the Unusual EFFECTS
4. The bug most likely to occur during the game LOADING time.
